During my visit to my parents' place, they decided to take their two standard poodles to a particular groomer. Unfortunately, I must express my deep disappointment in the unprofessional and inadequate manner in which the grooming was performed. It was evident that this so-called "groomer" lacked the necessary knowledge and skill to properly handle the grooming needs of standard poodles. To my utter dismay, the groomer named Emily proceeded to shave both poodles down, clearly displaying a lack of understanding on how to brush them out and maintain a standard poodle cut. The result is nothing short of horrifying. Both poodles now have tails that resemble those of opossums, completely devoid of the brush tail they should have. Moreover, the absence of the characteristic head poof that is expected of a poodle is truly heartbreaking. The groomer's negligence is further evident in the ears, which have been shorn down to the point where they are now mere velvety patches. It is distressing to witness the dogs realizing that they no longer resemble their usual groomed selves. Considering how short they have been shorn, it is a miracle if their delicate skin hasn't suffered any nicks. I can only hope and pray that they have been spared from any harm, as I doubt my parents would have been informed given the lack of care shown by the groomer. I strongly advise against anyone taking their beloved pets to this groomer. Instead, I highly recommend seeking out a groomer with the necessary experience and expertise to properly handle and groom various breeds of dogs.
