It's a shame since it's so close to the border, it could have great potential if only there were more stores. Maybe this place was popular a decade ago, but half the lots are empty and there are rental/lease signs everywhere because of vacated businesses. I was drawn in because of the opening of a new Coach store during the summer but even that was pretty desolate. Not worth the trip, only come here for Famous Footwear or Ralph Lauren - cause there isn't much else!

Pearl Street is not a major road so there was no trouble getting into and out of the parking lot, which was clear of litter and as it's mid-summer there's no snow. Clean and smooth and easy. There's also some popular stores like H&M, American Eagle, Bath & Body Works, Victoria's Secret, Zales, Kays and Verizon. Prices are fair, alongside sales promotions in a lot of these stores. The staff did a nice job of keeping the mall clean and safe. They got a food court, that sadly has only 2 stores. There's a free children's play area. Throughout the mall there's also spots for guests to sit and rest. The parking lot is pretty big, lots of spots available.

As I browsed the mens wear, my 9-year old Black daughter remained exceptionally well-behaved and within my eyesight. Then I heard a Fjallraven Burlington staff member ask my daughter if she were "by herself." So I walked away from browsing out into the open and asked the staff member "Sav (?)" if I could help with anything. The staff member said, "This is not a children's store. You need to keep your kid with you." The Fjallraven Burlington's staff member traumatized my daughter. No one should be treated like this. Unacceptable.

I had been thinking about buying a Fjallraven Kanken backpack (you know the one, the adorable square backpack that looks like a little kid's bag) for awhile so it was neat to see them in person and all the different colors. They also have lots of outdoor gear, other backpacks, apparel, and a sale area in the lower level. We stopped in twice during our long weekend in Burlington and the employees were really helpful and friendly, offering to show us any color of bag we could imagine and explaining some of the features of some of the products. The store is large and fully stocked with anything you need to be a cool Swedish hipster in nature! The products they sell are pretty pricey but the backpack we got is guaranteed for life and is water-resistant due to the beeswax coating. I really enjoyed checking out this shop and was impressed by the knowledge and friendliness of the staff.

The April Cornell Clearance Center is the prettiest store I've ever been in. The displays are…read morebeautiful, with gorgeous fabrics and everything looks so comfy and homey. Focusing mostly on women's apparel, this store also has a section for menswear and children's clothing and there is even a pretty large selection of home items. The fabrics are mostly florals, with beautiful colors and designs. They are reminiscent of Laura Ashley or Vera Bradley, but with more bold colors and different designs. If there are people with you who are bored with shopping, they can sit down on the main floor and visit with the birds that live in the store. The clearance center has some good deals and there are often items on sale on the main floor, but the real deals are found in the basement. I've seen items priced as low as $20, and there are usually racks of clothing that are 40% off. Most recently, I found some very pretty items that will be put away for future gift giving. There are comfortable dressing rooms, plenty of parking out front and even if you don't buy anything, the atmosphere of this beautiful store is worth the visit.
