Was gifted a certificate to this spa for my birthday so I was really looking forward to my little self care day... I arrived a few minutes behind schedule (7 minutes to be exact) and the staff was kind of rude about it--Granted the traffic downtown was crazy maybe I should've left sooner but while getting ready to make a cup of tea, after being told I could by one person, I was then told that I had to wait until after my service which was understandable considering I was about to get a massage but it just made me feel uncomfortable honestly--And took me a while to get relaxed during my experience. The service felt rushed needless to say and I wouldn't recommend or return to this establishment; I've had better spa experiences so nothing special going on here. read more

Great great experience here! From check-in to check-out, everything went smoothly and everybody was helpful and sweet. We got a couples massage, which was nice and relaxing. The bathrooms are super clean and have all the things you need. The facilities felt luxurious and relaxing, just what you want in a spa. The only thing is I wish they had a separate pool from the rest of the hotel because it was a little busy and loud with kids, kinda took away from the zen. But overall, great experience. read more

All I can do is shake my head as I write this review. March 5th I drive all the way Brooklyn NY to patronize this business with my friend. I've never had a bad spa experience until coming here. When I came in, I didn't feel welcomed. All I received was a flat "hello, have a seat we'll be with you shortly". So I kept standing because I'm petty. The spa lounge was very dark, only one candle was glowing. And here's where it really got weird. I had the grapefruit scrub by Dylan or David ,something with a D. He was horrible. I told him I'm a gentle giant, please don't man handle me. But he did anyway. I felt assaulted. I did let him know he was hurting me and he apologized then after a few minutes, he went right back to twisting and grinding on my skin! I felt and heard him breathing on me! At this point, I wasn't sure if I should be prepared for a happy ending or dial 911. I don't know ...at no point did I feel like I left the spa. My friend said her treatment was fabulous! Her guy was older and appeared more experienced while mine looked very young and new to the scene. The location and The Underground are two of the top reasons I booked the Logan for a staycation. Other hotels have restaurants, gyms and pools but the Logan has it all. This spa is way pricier than other salons but it is also way nicer! The staff were welcoming and informative, especially Cherryann, Bill and Lanez. I brought my adult children for the ultimate uber experience that only The Underground gives you. We did the facial and body wraps. Check in was unique with a spray of lemongrass product that started our calming journey. After changing into The Logan robes and slippers , we were guided to a dark calming room that offered a snack, tea and other liquid refreshments. I really enjoyed the hanging wicker egg chair while I waited to be called. We all loved the experience. It's wonderful to feel like a king or queen for the day. read more

I am absolutely furious with how I have been treated by this spa. I booked two messages about three weeks before my desired appointment (August 21st). I never received a confirmation email, called the spa, and only got voicemail. About five days before the 21st, I changed my mind because of COVID news, called the spa again to cancel because they had a 24 hour cancellation policy, and got voicemail. Later, while I am in a work meeting, I get a voicemail from them saying to call back to confirm my cancellations, which I do. I get voice confirmation those appointments are cancelled. Well, August 21st, the day of those massages, I get a harried voicemail asking me when I expect to arrive at the spa, because I am not there at my appointment. I immediately call back, saying to the completely disinterested receptionist that I had already cancelled my appointments. She told me she would send this up to her manager and that her manager would contact me, but I never received ANY contact from ANY manager, and it's been almost a week. I wake up this morning to find I have been charged $550 to my card by the Logan. To say that I am furious is putting it lightly. To say they Logan's spa staff has been unprofessional, unhelpful, and misleading is a gross understatement. This whole process has been so clunky (seriously??? No confirmation emails? Constant phone tag for something as simple as canceling an appointment nearly a week put?) and I am furious, do not waste your time--there are plenty of message chains and small businesses that are more fairly priced and actually know how to run a business. I am so upset and disappointed with my experience here. I brought my mom for Mother's Day and booked two 80 minute deep tissue massages with two females. I was very much looking forward to a relaxing day with my mom. While my mom enjoyed her massage thank goodness, I had a massage with Hilde. I indicated I wanted deep pressure for the deep tissue massage on the intro form they ask you to fill out upon arrival and I also reiterated it to Hilde when I met her I like deep pressure. At the beginning of the massage, Hilde was doing more rubbing without any pressure which I gave it a couple minutes in case she was warming up. When I asked her to go deeper she responded "I can not your muscles are fighting it so I won't do it" I said I have never heard that before, that is not what I am feeling and she replied "going deeper could injure me." There were moments she was giving deeper pressure, but for the most part it was not good and for her to tell me no and not listen to me, never once ask me during the massage if I was ok or the pressure was ok, for a massage that cost $240 without gratuity, this is not acceptable. Also to feel vulnerable lying on the table like that and have this masseuse dismiss me was extremely upsetting. I KNOW MY OWN BODY BETTER THAN SHE DOES. She did not even say she would try to go a bit deeper it was a flat out no. At one point she was holding my head. JUST holding it for way too long. I said if this is the end of the massage, pls let's just end it. She said I was very stressed and that is where the nervous system starts. I said this is making me more stressed for you to be holding my head for this long. I have had so many massages at spas all over the world, and I have never experienced anything like this. After finishing the massage in a curt way, Hilde said Im sorry it was not what you were expecting, you can speak the front desk. I asked to speak with a manager when I went to the front desk. The very young girl at the front desk said the mgr was not there, she already heard what happened and they will take 30% off and keep the gratuity for Hilde. I said you did not hear what happened from my POV, but it does not make much sense to take the time to explain to anyone but a manager. I would recommend you book a massage at another establishment. For them to advertise a deep tissue massage, ask you what kind of pressure you want and then empower their masseuse to tell you no, not listen to you and then be rude to you when you voice your needs is absolutely not ok no matter the price, but for them to charge what they do and operate this way is beyond deplorable to me. I hope they really take this feedback into account when training/hiring their masseuses. The rooms were clean and beautiful but that does not excuse bad behavior from staff. read more

He was attentive and respected the firmness I requested and the area I asked to avoid. And the treatment was amazing. I'm not sure if I drifted into sleep, but definitely might have. I had the best massage of my life at The Logan. We were staying at the hotel celebrating our anniversary and had massages in the morning. My husband said his was fantastic too. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the masseuse, but she was extremely professional. It made the included 20% tip more of a convenience and less of an assumption. The facilities are nice and relaxing. I appreciated the dim lighting. As another reviewer noted, a hot tub or sauna would have been a great addition. I did have some miscommunication about my appointments. It would be so helpful as a hotel guest to be able to make arrangements through the hotel, especially when I received an email canceling my appointments after the spa was closed for the day. But the main point is the awesome massage - and the friendly staff! read more

Once the Logan became the Logan, all sleek, new and chic, I thought perhaps the spa and space below would follow suit. Not so, friends. I expected fancy and fabulous and instead I got casual and well, meh. There are so few, nearly not enough, spa venues that have a sauna or steam room to linger before services that I was hopeful that the Logan with all its new bells and whistles would either have one or the other, but no. Hotels are usually the best place where you can spend a spa with girlfriends, but the Logan Spa doesn't offer that here. Here, they have a very basic 'heated' pool that doesn't offer much in the way of a relaxing or soothing experience as it feels more gym and less high-end. The lobby is the gateway to both the gym/pool/spa and the mood is more gym than a spa lobby. The changing room is tiny but new and modern. On the day we came, they had only one functioning restroom. The wait room is a strangely dark cold room with two generic budget water features. The only highlight, a very cute and cozy The logan hoodie robes that we got to lounge in. The treatment rooms were equally generic as were the treatments. Body scrub and massage though just fine were simply not memorable. Products not terribly high end. For the price paid, you're best to go to Rescue Rittenhouse. read more

I was very disappointed in the manicures at the spa. The facilities are lovely and everyone was very friendly. However, the polish colors are limited. Gel manicure colors even more limited. The manicurist seemed inexperienced. My friend wanted a gel French manicure but they did not have the correct colors. She settled for a regular French manicure, but the white lines were uneven and it was not presentable. The spa did not have any openings to redo it; she had to remove the polish and redo it herself for. (We were not charged for her manicure.) I got a regular manicure, but no top coat was applied and it smudged immediately after we left to go to our event. Neither of our cuticles were trimmed. It was a very disappointing experience. I have mixed feelings about my experience here. It was my first time at The Underground spa, and I booked a package of one 50 minute massage and one 50 minute facial for $250 ($300 with tip). Here's a recap: Pros: Clean facilities, decent service. Small locker/shower/bathroom facilities with toiletries. Relaxation lounge with premium tea, coffee, and infused water. Great hours and open until 10 on every day. Small saltwater pool. Pros: Expensive. The "package" I got didn't include much of a discount from purchasing the services separately. They advertise mani/pedi services, but don't have a manicurist on staff for Sundays or Mondays. The locker/bathroom is small and doesn't stock razors, feminine products or hair ties. The relaxation lounge had a group of 4 women who were laughing and talking loudly; staff didn't enforce the "quiet" policy. Facilities lack a sauna, steam room, or hot tub. Pool is very small. 20% gratuity automatically added to all services. Summary: I'm a frequent spa goer, and love trying spas all over the country and world. This one had so many great reviews that I was excited to try it for the first time. For a place that advertises itself as a luxury spa (with the prices to match), I can confidently say that it is squarely mid-range. The facilities are clean but on the small side. The massage was fine - I asked her to concentrate on my neck, back and shoulders as that's where I was experiencing knots and pain, but she spent the majority of the time on my legs and feet. The facial was also fine, although the actual steaming, cleaning, facial part was only half the time, and the rest was a "facial massage" which was nice, but not what I was really paying for. Lastly, I understand why some places add automatic gratuity, but it does take away from the quality of the experience. My esthetician was telling me how most of the spa staff was carried over from when the hotel was the Four Seasons, and they had all been there for 10 years or longer... and it showed. The service wasn't horrible, but the fact that gratuity was automatic and the staff had been there forever did show. Overall, not a terrible experience, but not the 5-star, upscale experience that I was looking for (and paid for). I am a bit disappointed since this spa is so close to my house, and if the experience were better, I would be coming here frequently. read more

I'm really not one for hyperbole but Lilla just gave me one the best messages I've ever had. I've had body work done literally all over the world and this has to rank in my top 3. Great aromatherapy to start and then the hands of a god(dess). I'm on my feet all day and I've done some damage to my body, ex-dancer, and I feel so light and enervated. I can't say enough about great I feel. I'm sure I'll be sore tomorrow but it'll be worth it! Pricy-yeah-but so damn excellent! Highly highly recommend. We loved hanging out with a drink in the relaxation room and chatting between ourselves and the others in the room. It's also easy to find street parking (we were there at 3:30). I've been here twice in the last year and loved it both times. It is small, so if you have the ability to go mid-week, you may have a more peaceful experience. Cheryl was my technician both times, and she was wonderful. The first time I went, I had the 80-minute Nirvana massage, and the second time I had the 50-minute and a lemon-rosemary body scrub. While I enjoyed the body scrub, I think I'd go with the longer massage next time. The relaxation room is very calming, and they offer complimentary wine or champagne while you unwind. I loved my services, a massage and body scrub, the 4 stars is more for the amenities. They only have a relaxation room to wait in, no sauna or the like, and it's a little too stimulating in there. They have trickling water, a white noise machine and also music over the speakers. I think just one of those options would be better. I wish they had a few more toiletries, especially deodorant. The robes aren't great, they're like old sweatshirts and you can't really tie them that tightly. But all that stuff is minor, I would definitely still recommend. read more

I was waiting for my room, and the front desk told me I'd be able to use the spa to change and shower. After a 9 mile run, I was told by the spa manager that it wasn't an option on Saturday. She offered me a public bathroom to change. So, I changed in the public bathroom without the ability to shower. I have been a loyal customer of the Logan for the past 4 years. I have also enjoyed the spa in the past, but am completely disappointed in the lack of customer service and poor communication during this trip. read more

This was one of the best spa experiences ever. The relaxation room is comfortable, dark, relaxing, and warm. The staff was professional and friendly. The massage itself was heavenly (I think the therapist said her name was Kelly Ann) and I wish it could have gone on for hours and hours. I had the anti-aging collagen facial, and I just had to write a review for my technician, Toni, because she is absolutely amazing! Now, to be clear, the facilities at the Logan are average (the shower backed-up and there were some missing key toiletries in the locker room), but the service from Toni is UNBELIEVABLY PERFECT! Toni offered to get me a snack since I had not had any food due to travel and my flight. And the facial she rendered was one of the best facials I've experienced. She's quite masterful with her technique, and she takes her time as well as gives her full attention to detail. She's calm and professional and absolutely caring! You must book a facial with Toni! I loved my experience! Everything was honesty more than I expected. I took my boyfriend there for the couples massage. The lady at the front desk was very pleasant & helpful. She took us to the locker room and showed us what was where. We arrived pretty early so before our appointment she told us we could chill in the lounge area, the pool, or the gym. Fabulous Spa! I called 1 week in advance to get an appointment for 3 of us, and got it. If it's your first time, you need to arrive 15 min. before to fill out a short survey just giving your info. The staff was very sweet, helpful, and informative. They asked lots of questions to make sure your spa experience was everything you wanted it to be. I also got a 50 min Nirvana Stress Relief Massage with Cheryl which was wonderful. It went by in a flash, so I would def want to get the 90 minute next time. Pure bliss! I had such an amazing visit at the Logan Spa. I received the 90-minute pink grapefruit experience which is basically heaven on earth the scrub smells absolutely amazing after having all the dead skin gently scrubbed off your entire body you head to the showers to take an amazing showers and when I returned back to the room Viola the sheets were perfectly changed and it was time for a message on the very cozy warm table . The massage was great and relaxing my therapist was knowledgeable and created an extremely tranquil environment. After a great massage, I was wrapped in warm thermal blankets and rested, when the therapist came to remove the blankets I was so at peace and my skin felt like silk! The amenities were also clean amazing the robes were, cute and cozy. I really enjoyed the pool and gym as well. I had the true pleasure of receiving a Pink Grapefruit Experience followed by a Nirvana Stress Relief massage. They were each, hands down, the best treatments I have ever received! I've visited numerous salons searching for the perfect masseuse and I have found it in Cheryl and Stephen with the spa at The Logan. Cheryl was friendly, attentive, exceptionally good at what she does, and overall a true delight to spend the afternoon with. Stephen was extremely observant, adjusting his pressure whenever my body shifted or he felt a slight resist. In addition, picking out my own aromatherapy - there are 4 to choose from, 2 for relaxing and 2 for rejuvenation, I picked Inspire - was a really fun, new aspect of a massage that I had not yet experienced. I actually had to hug Cheryl at the conclusion of my treatment, that's how incredible it was and it was more me just melting into her as opposed to a real hug since I literally felt like a brand new person.
