This was my first time getting a professional massage and facial. It was absolutely wonderful! Shelley did my massage and Amber did my facial. Would definitely recommend them both! Throughout the massage, Shelley would check in with me about the pressure, which was so thoughtful. Amber discussed skin care with me, without forcing their products on me, but also recommending them, which was very helpful! She customized the products for the facial based on my skin type and preferences and was very gentle. I have highly sensitive skin, but had no issues with any of the products! I would have bought some of their products, but did not have the time that day. Overall, very nice and relaxing space. I got confused as to where I was going as it was my first time there, they held my appointment, I was an hour late. The receptionist was so friendly and amazing, she explained the monthly membership which is an amazing deal, I signed up on the spot. I went in for a massage as I had neck and shoulder pain which was giving me headaches and my therapist knew exactly what to do to relieve it. The Spa Lounge is my favorite place. I was gifted a groupon for them for a massage a year or two ago. I've done several massages off of groupon, and no one even gets close to the Spa Lounge. When so many places have you undress in the same room- I love that the locker rooms are separate from the massage rooms and the waiting lounge is the best! Heat wraps, drinks and the eucalyptus towel. It is in every sense an upscale spa. I always ask for Stacy for my massages. She remembers me and what she had worked on last time and does the best at getting the knots out! Definitely the best place hands down. I won't purchase groupons anymore. Everyone has different expectations, so it can be tricky to accommodate everyone-- which is why customer service is so important when things don't go as expected. I was so nervous before coming here for a leg wax because those hurt! The staff was so sweet and welcoming. Hannah did my wax and she knew how to take my attention away from what was going on. Never been before, went for a pedicure with a gift card. Salon was hot and I was not offered a drink. Your feet soak in 1 inch of water and no jets. Computer system not working (or user error), so they charged the tip to the person who bought me the gift card, because their card was on file. See no need to ever return! Don't go here for a pedicure. I booked an hour long, "deluxe" pedicure and was severely disappointed. Biggest reason? My pedicure only last 45 minutes. Second reason? The chairs don't even have that nice bubbling tub of water you expect when getting a pedicure. Instead, they bring in a plastic container of warm water and place it at your feet. So luxurious! This pedicure was a complete joke and complete waste of money. They shouldn't offer a pedicure as a product if it's provided in this way. The deception alone will cause me never to retune. read more

I booked a 2 hour deep tissue massage on the same day (yesterday) and was blown away by the service from start to finish. Was just a breeze to book it, get there, and the actual massage itself was excellent. The masseuse was called Angela and she very carefully checked to make sure that it was as it ought to be - very interactive and very skilled. I fly long haul, often, and have a lot of aches and pains. I was utterly relaxed from start to finish. I couldn't believe how quickly the two hours passed by also. I wish i could have booked a 4 hour one! Went here for a spur of the moment massage with a friend. The positives: -nice ambience, very relaxing, and spa-like -nice staff -changing/locker room with bathroom, changing area, and personalized locker, ready with your name assigned to it & lockable, in which are a clean robe and pair of slippers -quick check in and check out process -discount for first time clients The negatives: -I was given giant men's slippers that were 2x the size of my women's size 7 feet. (I do not have a gender neutral name so it was not due to the fact that they thought I was a male client). -When we called to book our appts, we specified the types of massages we wanted (my friend booked a relaxation massage and I booked a deep tissue). Upon arrival, I filled out appropriate paperwork with information on what type of massage I would like, pressure, etc. but it did not seem like the massage therapists were familiar with the information on the intake forms or had even read them at all. After getting changed into our robes, my friend and I were approached by 2 therapists in the waiting area and it seemed very random whom we were assigned to, as they had to ask what type of massages we were looking for and merely said whoever wants to go with one could go first and the other would go with the other since they both did the types of massages we mentioned. We never actually were given their names until we checked out and were going to pay gratuity. In past spa experiences, I have always been pre-assigned a specific therapist upon booking, based on the type of massage requested, and the therapist reviews the intake form. -During the massage, I was never once asked how the pressure was. This is one of the most basic (and most important) questions that should be asked by a masseuse. I had booked, requested, & paid for a deep tissue massage (clearly filled out on the form, as well as explained to both therapists) but the entire massage was more of a medium to firm relaxation massage. This was the most disappointing of all the negatives listed here. All in all - if you are looking for a relaxing massage, this place would be ok (my friend who had a "relaxation massage" enjoyed hers) but I would not waste the extra $ on a deep tissue massage. read more

This place is absolutely amazing! They offer you robes and slippers and your own locker room to change. I have tried many of their services from massage, waxing, microdermabrasion, facials and pedicures and they are all amazing. They pay attention to details and really care about each customer. I love that I don't have to have a membership to save as they run weekly Specials all the time. I never feel like a number and they never pressure me to buy anything. If you are looking for a great service at a great price in a professional environment The Spa Lounge is my recommendation! read more

The owner Greg Lavato refused to honor a pre-paid gift certificate that was expired by 4 days. After the service I got to the counter and was told I would have to pay full price a second time. Really disappointed with this place! Don't go here for a manicure or pedicure. After spending $80 on Shellac manicure and pedicure, I feel my money has gone down the drain! The nail-paint has already chipped off in a day. I was told that the Shellac would last at least for 2 weeks. They did a poor job and left the nail-bed without any polish, thereby looking shabby. Over and above, this was my first time there and they did not give me the new client discount,($20)which I found out the next day. When I approached them saying I was not offered the new client discount on the previous day, they simply said they don't offer that unless asked! What a shame! Such cheats they are! I am a complete fan of The Spa Lounge Day Spa. Working in the spa industry I am in and out of salons and spas all week. When I travel I even get to write off my spa visits. That being said I am at a point I rarely will indulge in a massage when I am not going to The Spa Lounge because I have yet to have a massage that is anywhere near as good as the one that Annette can give. Also this is my go to place for my skin care treatments. I took my daughter here for a pedicure on her birthday. It was an okay pedicure, but I have definitely had better. The girls who did the pedicures were very nice. I didn't like how the pedicure chairs were right near the front door. It felt like it wasn't peaceful and private. They didn't have the pedicure chairs with an actual sink at the base for your feet. They carried foot baths in from another room. I didn't love that they used the foot grater/razor to remove calluses/dead skin. Maybe that's very common? I much prefer the sandpaper-y ones. For the price, I would choose somewhere else. The Sanctuary at Southtowne is a favorite. read more
