My first experience with Woodhouse Spa was through a Yelp event. After a great experience with that, I returned for a 2 hr massage this weekend to work out some serious end of year muscle tension causing headaches and pain all over and how they delivered! I started in the steamroom to get into relaxation mode. Then Olivia came to get me and she was the 'strong hands' i requested and then some. She found every knot in places i didnt know i had them and never let up - which is what i asked for. She beat me up in the best way (iykyk) while responding to feedback when the knots were too tender to handle it. This type of trigger ppint is what you want when you've got tension that wont quit. My husband and I did a couples massage here. We were treated so nicely. The locker rooms to get changed were really fancy. Our massages get so good. The room was spacious with relaxing music playing. Firstly, let's start out with the star of the show - their WAITING ROOM. When I tell you it's like entering the gates of heaven, I'm not overreacting. It sets the tone with snacks, comfy seating, ambient lighting, and relaxing music. Reception was hospitable and efficient in getting me checked in. Secondly, my nail tech Ash was amazing and so sweet. I payed $5 for a hot honey glaze add-on and it was a wonderful addition. The crème de la crop for me was the agave oil she used to massage my legs and feet. I definitely want to go back and purchase a bottle of that magic potion! Update: I want to thank Jessica, the general manager for contacting me, and making this right. I really hope to use their esthetics services moving forward, and I really appreciated her customer service in this situation after my previous interaction with the desk. Previous review: First off, I'll start by saying that the spa is beautiful esthetically. Great offerings at entry for refreshments with robes/sandals. My actual experience was really lackluster and I had a terrible experience with my massage. I communicated several times with my therapist that I wasn't enjoying the body stretching and manipulation and wanted a Swedish massage (which is what I had booked online for 80 minutes). I also requested several times that he not put me in a froggy position on my stomach due to pain in my knee and he seemed lost, and unable to maintain any continuity to the massage. He then explained to me that he just started and didn't quite know how everything worked. I did not smell or experience any he aromatherapy add on that I paid for. I communicated with the desk about my experience, and lack of recognition to save the massage throughout. They gave me 20% off my service (leaving me with $160 and I still tipped my therapist) and kindly asked for me to try them again. It was my first time here and I had plans to return (Some kind of refund would have incentivized me to rebook with a different therapist then and there) but after the experience and the customer service, I would recommend passing on this place and heading to Basalt Day spa is SLC. read more

They told me they never received a message and since I'm canceling same day, I forfeit the money for one massage. The absolute worst customer service and attitude from management. First time getting a full service massage here and it was ok. I booked the last appointment for Sunday evening and I think that was the biggest downfall. I ran 5 minutes late to my appointment (chaotic day, but totally my fault) and I called the front desk to let them know. They said it would be fine and they could help me get in right away. The moment I walked in, I was escorted to the changing room and then shortly off my massage. When I met with the masseuse, she gave me a quick overview and asked some questions and then let me get ready to lay down on the table. I didn't count the time down, but it very short and next thing I know, the masseuse knocked on the door, then immediately opened it before I could say anything. I wasn't ready and asked for a 30 more seconds. When she came in, she apologized and said she knew I was late and wanted to move quickly. Not a good answer. The massage was fine and was almost the 50 minutes that I paid for, probably a few minutes short, but not a big deal. I also had a scalp treatment scheduled as a perk from their grand re-opening event, but when I was done with my massage and asked if I was still getting it, the masseuse was confused and said it wasn't part of my schedule today and that she would tell the front desk. When I got changed back, my masseuse was waiting and escorted me to the front desk (even though she already told me what to do after I changed). This gave me the sense of rushing again. I got up to the register and the lady helping me said she would take the scalp treatment off my bill, even though my masseuse didn't know about it. Seems like there was a lot of confusion. I explained to her that this was not even supposed to be a charge and showed her the paper I received from the re-opening event. She said she would honor it if I called and mentioned it next time I booked while keeping the piece of paper. There was no notes made or anything, so I supposed I need to take her word. I wish I could say it was an amazing experience, but being the last appointment of the day was a real disappointment. I get that they are all ready to go home for the day, but I wasn't moving that slow and shouldn't have to feel rushed. Not sure I'll be going back soon. read more

Let me first say the therapist was very knowledgeable & very good. Now with that said, I feel services and addtl fees should be presented before and agreed upon. I was laying there thinking and I should purchase a package then upon payment decided to go back to Sego Lily. I requested $130 facial, not $250. I should have been advised the additional fees. My first time at Woodhouse and YIKES $300 for 50 mins. I already told 4 girlfriends and they won't go there either now. Therapist should not be shy about offering a service, however advise of the dollars, because the Therapist's silence states it's part of the package. read more

First time dreaming of attending an event like this and glad I was able to. Although it seems like many other knew each other this was my first time but I made the most of it. The outside is very pretty with the Wasatch mountains in the east. It has some beautiful double wooden doors for the entrance to the spa. It sort of had a European Italian feel for their decor. Simple and beautiful. The staff was very friendly as I was greeted at the door. I got a cute swag bag and had a small teaser of a treat for a service. I was able to hang out in the waiting area and enjoyed some small plates of goodies. The atmosphere was calm and lighting throughout the building was just right. Even when a lot of commotion was being made in the waiting room when I was called for my service I could not hear the noise where I had service. My masseuse was very nice and made me very comfortable. Although the service did not last long it was very nice. I was able to see some other parts of the spa and was given some good information. The prices are typical of a day spa so be prepared to spend some money if you get a service. I have been to some day spas in Las Vegas and I think every spa has its own feel. If I ever go here in the future I am for sure going to be writing a full review down to the T. read more

I love going to the spas and getting treatments. Today was my cousins birthday so I selected the spa and the detox facial. The day spa itself is well put together. The host at the front showed us around and took us to the dressing room and showed us our lockers with our names on it with our robe and slippers already in there. She was very thorough of showing us all of the amenities. They put us in a quiet room with a candle and we visited the steam room which was so wonderful it had eucalyptus scent and it was so good for my lungs and my skin. We went and got a drink and a beautiful snack area with waters lattes and snacks. They had the fireplace lit and the ambience was on point. We went and relaxed in the quiet room and then went back for another steam. Mia did my facial, they came to get us and took us to the facial room which the table was already preheated. It was a wonderful facial and Mia did such a great job. If you book your appointment for the next visit at the time Your visit you get $10 off your next appointment. This was a beautiful relaxing day I highly recommend the spa. read more

Alright...I just have to let the people know that I received probably one of if not the best massage from Eileen at this spa. This was my first time, I didn't know what to expect I just needed a good massage, not to hard not to soft, just some 60-minute upper body work. I want to go back for an even longer one now. I was able to relax in the steam room before my massage and then treat myself to some yummy snacks in the waiting area I also got my own locker with my name on it (almost like they knew I was coming) filled with a nice robe and sandals. Eileen had that great flow, very systematic in the approach with the perfect amount of pressure. The staff was friendly also and I felt like I was in a pretty luxurious spa. My girlfriend and I went to Woodhouse for a couples massage. It was absolutely amazing, Sarah and Sean are some of the best massage therapists we have ever had! The whole environment of the spa is so relaxing. When you come into the spa they have a locker set up with your name on it and a super cozy robe and slippers of your own! They even have a massive steam room you can use before or after your service. They have private quiet rooms equipped with yummy snacks, drinks, and cozy chairs perfect for a couples getaway.
