She showed up late, took calls in between putting foils in my hair, did the exact opposite of what I asked as far as where I wanted the color, spoke poorly and gossiping about the other stylist to both employees and other clients right before that young girl's shift, slapped my wet hair in my face multiple times, she kept bumping me while I was in her chair, she did the worst tinting I have ever seen like two giant caterpillars on my face and then, told me she couldn't finish the services to cut my hair and blow it dry because she was too tired. Mind you, I booked this appointment weeks in advance after waiting weeks for a consultation. She also charged me to correct her hard lines and for bringing the color too high when I went back for the corrections. This woman wants to retire and it shows. I moved to a new town going for a new look to feel better about myself and instead I've spent months feeling embarrassed because of her spiteful and deceitful actions. The hair looked longer than normal after a haircut but we were in a rush so I didn't question it at first til I saw it up close. It was a hack job! Needing to get it fixed and son was too upset to go back to Great Clips, we popped into Walmart to the salon there. Immediately the ladies took one look and were appalled that a stylist would let someone out of their chair looking like he did! I can't recall the name of the lady that fixed his haircut but she was wonderful with him. He was upset and embarrassed and his skin irritated. Absolutely Devastated by My Haircut Experience I've been to…read morethis Great Clips location several times before and had decent experiences, but my most recent visit was a complete nightmare. I came in requesting a long inverted bob -- a cut I've had done here in the past -- and I made it very clear to the stylist that I do not like short hair. I even emphasized that short hair makes me uncomfortable, that I wouldn't know what to do with it, and that I would cry if it was cut too short. I showed him a photo, explained that I needed the front to stay longer, and reminded him that my naturally curly hair shrinks when dry. He acknowledged all of this -- and then proceeded to ignore everything I said. He made the first cut, which was already shorter than I wanted. I was surprised and told him not to go any shorter. Despite this, he kept cutting. By the end, my hair -- which was previously past my shoulders -- was hacked into something completely unrecognizable. The back is maybe two inches long, and the front barely reaches my ears. It's the worst haircut I've ever received in my life. To make matters worse, I reached out to Great Clips customer service, who told me the franchise owner would contact me. It's been over a week, and I haven't heard a single word. I can't even tie my hair back to hide it -- I'm genuinely embarrassed to leave the house. I would never recommend this location -- or any Great Clips -- to anyone who values being listened to, respected, or walking away with a haircut that doesn't make you cry.
