My massage had a lot of rubbing while my partner's massage was strong and she got to the knots he had some arm pain afterwards from the overstretching. My massage was a little off because he wasn't going to do the ashiastsu without me asking and even then I had to speak to the front desk person about it. So it can be difficult for them to take note of what you requested on the phone. They did turn someone away for not calling ahead so it's important to call them if you don't want to wait.
