The name says itself. Wouldn't catch it in the plaza just passing by but love the dive bar feel. Rockie is absolutely a pleasure and Frank always takes good care as well. The karaoke nights are actually a pleasant surprise. They take it seriously. Worth the stop.

This is a must go to dive bar in the area for drinks and karaoke on Friday night. Enjoy the atmosphere or join along on the wireless mic from the comfort of your barstool.

    Great band!

Serve some real food and not chips and frozen pizza. Went in one time, and that was enough to decide not to go back!

Cheap drinks and lousy service. Blames it on the plandemic but that doesn't excuse poor service.

You walk through and suddenly you're sitting at a gorgeous little bar literally IN THE KITCHEN, watching everything happen right in front of you. The entire experience feels intimate, elevated and completely unexpected. The vibe was incredible. Instrumental hip hop playing in the background, moody lighting, amazing cocktails, incredible food, and a front row seat to the kitchen. It somehow feels upscale without feeling stuffy. The oysters, prawns, bone marrow, cocktails, and beignets - everything we tried was so good, but the atmosphere is what really made it. It feels like you've been let in on a secret. Such a cool experience and absolutely somewhere we will be going back to. 10/10 for food, cocktails, music and one of the best vibes we've found.

It's a little moody w/ dim lighting and has a cool throwback feel to another era. My bestie & I ordered Old Fashioneds. They were good, although they were a bit on the light-pour side. I ordered the Wagyu meatballs, and they were absolutely delicious. My hubs and the rest of the table ordered the burger. They enjoyed them, but fair warning: the burger has a bit of a kick! The gentleman spinning vinyl for the evening had an amazing playlist. Each song seemed better than the one before. Overall, it was a fun atmosphere, great music, and a really enjoyable night out!

We got there about 15 minutes after opening and were surprised to see how long the line was at the bar. Turns out they only had two bartenders working and they were taking their time with each patron. We were served by Jared. He was super cool and very personable. He gave us the history of Malinda Curtis (she ran a brothel in the late 1800s) before telling us about the cocktail list. The drink menu is small, but creative. The menu changes each day (they're only open on Fridays and Saturdays) with the exception of the Old Fashioned. Jared informed us that they don't repeat drinks so you have one opportunity to try one of the specialty cocktails for that day. I had the No Soup For You which was a watermelon gin cocktail. It was really good and refreshing. My friend had the Jiminy Cricket which was a mint and chocolate vodka drink. Both drinks were very pretty. The furniture and decor had an early 20th century feel and was on par with the prohibition era. There's a decent amount of seating, though it filled up fast. The music that was playing was good, but very loud. We only had one drink because we didn't want to stand in line again for a second round. Despite the wait, Melinda's Alley was a cool spot to start our night.
