The name isn't just a brand--it's a description of how I felt after seeing the waitlist. * The Wait: I put my name down at 7:30 PM. By the time our table was ready, my fashion sense was vintage and I'd gone through two of the five stages of grief. * The Menu: It's a 60-page book. I didn't realize there would be a reading assignment before I could get a drink. I'm pretty sure the guy at the next table finished a PhD while deciding between the 'Duck Bath Punch' and a martini. * The Vibe: I asked for a "regular" vodka soda and the bartender looked at me like I'd just kicked a puppy. Verdict: The drinks are liquid art, but if you go on a Friday, bring a snack, a sleeping bag, and a thick skin for when the mixologist judges your life choices.

Great place amazing drinks! It's a little overwhelming on the physical menu but if you use QR code it helped a lot with ordering. Atmosphere was nice. Enjoyed both inside and outside areas. Got to try out the cigars they were humidified to protection. The food was different but tasty. The welcoming staff was on point set the tone of your evening. The waitress could have had a little more personality for my liking especially when you let them know your first timers. However, overall a great time would definitely go again.

We liked the drinks, but our unusual encounter with the bouncer almost made us reconsider going. We had just come from their sister establishment, Little Rituals, where we had such a great experience that we wanted to check out their other place. Upon arriving, we were unsure which side of the ropes to enter since there was no visible sign from the direction we came from. We stood facing the front of the door, but the bouncer did not acknowledge us. There was no line so I politely asked the bouncer where to go, and he rudely replied, "read the sign," pointing to one that was facing the other way. Taken aback by his attitude, my group of four exchanged confused looks and walked around to find the sign that said "line starts here." Then, things got really strange... The bouncer suddenly turned super friendly and immediately let us in. We were all puzzled as we walked in. Although his initial demeanor had left a bitter taste in our mouths, we decided to stick around for just one drink. My friend made a comment that maybe that's why they named the bar "bitter and twisted..." The bar staff were friendly and helpful. I opted for the Tiramisu cocktail, which featured Patrón reposado tequila, coffee and cacao liqueurs, mascarpone cheese, and a cold brew shot. It was delicious and well-balanced. The rest of my group also enjoyed their drinks. The same bouncer was again super nice to us as we left the bar, so I suggest to proceed with caution.

We didn't have food but we had drinks and they were delicious! I had their version of an espresso martini and it ranks up there as one of the best I've had! The service was phenomenal! They work as a team so you are well taken care of. The inside is very loungey and more of a romantic setting which is nice for a date night!

From the moment we walked up to the entrance, til the moment we left... we had an absolutely AMAZING experience! We had heard so much about this place and it was my friends birthday, so we decided to start the night here. We made a reservation online for Saturday night at 7:45 which was very convenient. First walked up to the entrance and two sweet gentleman welcomed us with smiles and got us checked in. Walked inside and the hostess welcomed us and then another gentleman came up and wished my friend a happy birthday and dusted us with some glitter that made this night extra special, and we were just beginning. Such a sweet little touch! We were brought to our clean table and were poured water and given menus. Even though we didn't order any food (this time), everything on the menu sounded delicious. A quick peruse through the menu and we decided on our first two drinks. The Born Tequila was sweet with a hint of spice that was delicious. The Rhubarb Ba-Arnadas was SO refreshing, the hibiscus was so pleasant and balanced out the drink. Our server was very attentive and explained more about the drinks while we were trying to decide on our second round. The Lime and Coconut was my personal favorite, the tequila with pineapple and the coconut foam on top was to die for!!! I'd go back just for that drink! They also have a photobooth in the back which we absolutely loved!! They started to get busy as we left, but the noise level wasn't a problem. Perfect for date nights too!! Such a pleasant experience, I can't wait to go back and try more of their drinks & experience their exceptional customer service!

I haven't been to b&t in years and not for lack of wanting to, I'm just not in that area of downtown very often. I got 2 other friends together to enjoy Sippin Santa (it was $15 per person and it doesn't go towards the bill but we did get a present that I consider worth it). We got dressed up and were seated right on time at 7pm by the highly enthusiastic (and probably a secret elf) bouncer at the door. We had the crab rangoon dip for the table and it was so yummy, basically crab dip with sweet chili sauce on top and crispy wontons, we scraped the plate! For drinks, there's 6 to list here so we had the Coco Ho Ho Ho, Pineapple Upside Down Cask, and Jingle Bird for round 1. Round 2 was the Rum DMC, a gin fizz, and the Solero. By far the collective favorite was the Solero, I don't know why but it was sooo tasty. Next time that might be all I get. 11/10 experience, the vibes were vibing!

Amazing service, great vibe, delicious food. The place was lively on a Friday night. The bartenders were hilarious while the DJ spun throwbacks. The cocktail menu is extensive. You're sure to find a unique drink that peaks you're interest. I tried the fried fish and fries. The fish was fried just right. I doused it in malt ginger and man was it good! It's a great place for groups and singles alike. Accessible entrance.

So cute! There is so many drink choices you could come here 50 times and not drink the same thing! I got the pornstar martini, and my god it was incredible! The staff were super friendly and made really good recommendations based off of what we each liked.

Food, service and ambience is awesome. The bartenders were great. My favorite cocktail was a clarified New York sour... best New York sour I never had

Bitter & Twisted continues to be our favorite cocktail bar. The holidays is always fun at Bitter & Twisted! They really killed it with the theme this year. I ordered the coconut drink which was really boozy and holiday forward. The food was also a hit. The tempura battered cod was delicious. Service was great. Although recommend you make a reservation.

I have been to Bitter & Twisted Cocktail Parlour twice with the most recent being on a Friday evening. I took an Uber. If you're driving, it's downtown so parking won't be easy. Close by, there is metered parking and parking garages. Service (4.5/5): The only real issue I had here is the bouncer. Upon arriving, he asks what can I do for you? I was like umm...I'm here to have a drink or two. A strange question from him which was a little off-putting. Luckily, once you're inside, the bartenders operate at an elite level. They greet you quickly, bring you water, and allow you to peruse the long menu. Throughout my time there, they constantly filled my water when it was still more than half full, they are all friendly, and they even hooked me and my buddy up with a complimentary shot. Service at its finest! Ambiance (5/5): I sat at the bar. They also have table seating and a cool hidden area close to the bathroom for large groups of 15-20 people. I love the ambiance here. It's dimly lit and sophisticated. The decor is great. It's not a speakeasy but you get those vibes here. Food (N/A): They do have a nice food menu including quite a few items that grabbed my attention including the ramen burger. But, since I had a dinner reservation elsewhere that night, I just got their local grilled bread and truffle butter appetizer. While a simple dish, it was done well. The bread was fresh and nicely grilled. The butter was whipped and you had the truffle to give it some complexity. But since it's just bread and butter, I don't want to rate their food fully. Drinks (5/5): This is where Bitter & Twisted really shines. They have a huge menu of craft cocktails, I'd guess close to 75 options or so. They also have beer and wine but it's a cocktail bar so you know what to do here. All of the spirits they use are premium ones so you won't find any well drinks here. The cocktail list is made up of a mix of both classic cocktails and interesting creations. They have won numerous awards, even as one of the top 50 bars in the world. If you're looking for elevated cocktails, this is what you'll find here. I started off with the Up-Pear cut which has pisco (Peruvian liquor as its base). While I don't want to receive an upper cut in real life, this cocktail was delicious. The two, green candies on top were a nice touch, too. While I only had one drink on this visit, Bitter & Twisted is the type of spot I would return to regularly.

This may be my favorite cocktail bar in the country. Just a phenomenal experience. It all starts with the mixologists. They are great at their craft. The drink menu is huge and they have great recommendations. They are fun and engaging the entire time you are there. The ambience is great and everyone is social and friendly. Just an amazing experience from the time we stepped into the door until we left. We will absolutely return.

This was the absolute best place I visited on my trip to the Phoenix area. Parking was a little bit of a headache, but it was more than worth the struggle! This menu is immense and this menu is well thought out beyond what I could imagine! The drinks were well fought out, balanced, and extremely tasty. I would return back here time and time again, and I'm quite honestly jealous of anyone who lives close enough to visit regularly. I highly recommend bitter & twisted to anyone looking to go!

They now offer to go cocktails. We ordered two of them.

What is the latest time that I can join the waitlist? I know you guys close at 12am on Thursday! thank you

Hello, the wait list only activates when we are on a wait. So technically, it might not be required later in the evening outside Friday/Saturday unless a large event is going on downtown. Please reach out to us at info@bitterandtwistedaz.com if you…

Where is the best place to park?

Hi Ryan, check out our website for some of the best options... bitterandtwistedaz.com/hours-parking-contact

    Can I make a reservation?

No they don't take reservations. But worth the wait.

If I have a person in my party that is under 21, are they allowed inside?

Unfortunately everybody in the party needs to be over 21 to enter.

Will you be open on Christmas day before the suns game?

Hello there, We will be closed Christmas Day so our team members can spend the holidays with their families.…

Are the gluten free options available right now? I know the menu has been limited due to COVID.

Hi there, Please check out our website and look under the menus tab. There you can download a food menu and anything marked with GF is gluten-free.

Anywhere free to park? I hate paying $10 at the garage every time and there's rarely street parking.

Sadly parking downtown is something outside our control. But if you check out our website, we have listed a discounted parking partner nearby that's current as of 8/12/21. https://bitterandtwistedaz.com/hours-directions-contact

Is cigar smoking allowed in an air conditioned area? Can you bring your own cigar? Do you sell them?

Sorry, there is no cigar smoking in any air conditioned areas. And we do not sell cigars on premise. We recommend Ambassador Cigars as a great place to buy in the valley though.

Why does this business not answer calls during business hours? Tried 7x over the span of 2 hours.

Hi there, during Tuesday through Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until close, we definitely do our best to try and answer the phone. And how to haven't received any other major feedback that we are not in a timely manner.…

When is their happy hour (during COVID times)?

    Hi There, Tuesday - Friday 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Is the waitlist really serious, if we just show up will we end up stuck outside?

Yes, you should waitlist or the wait can be LONG.

Can you buy the glasses they come in?

Most likely not from Bitter & Twisted but they should be able to tell you where you can find them (or their vendor).

    When does the kitchen close?

    When the bar closes

How to I make a reservation at bitter and twisted from this site?

You'll have to call to make the reservation; however, they don't take reservations on the weekend. On the weekend, check the Yelp app for the estimated wait time. If you have a party of 6 or less and depending on the estimated wait time, you can add…

Is this a slacks and coat type of place or a jeans and tshirt kind of place? Or in between?

All sorts are welcome. People come straight before or after baseball games and fit in just fine!

Carry On actually called me to confirm our "tickets," which I thought was really cute. The whole experience kind of started a couple of days before our actual "departure time." They also reminded us to park in the Renaissance Square parking garage under Wren & Wolf, and they were able to validate our parking for three hours. We had to go to Wren & Wolf first to pick up our Carry On tickets. We got there early, and they let us relax in their couch area while we waited for our departure time. The walk from the Renaissance Square parking garage to Wren & Wolf was easy. You just follow the signs, and the whole walk is inside the building, which was perfect because it was so hot outside. While we were waiting, we could order drinks and chill, just like being in an airport lounge. When it was time for departure, we walked outside the building, and Carry On was right around the corner. You won't miss it because you'll see the Carry On Air flight schedule above the gate door. Right on time, we were greeted by a friendly flight attendant. Once we walked into the cabin, it really felt like we were inside a first-class flight lounge. Our flight attendant served us drinks right after we sat down, and we also ordered more cocktails and snacks from their menu. The captain spoke to us over the speaker, just like on a real flight. As we took off, we could even feel the seats moving. Looking out the "window," we saw buildings, clouds surrounding us, and even experienced turbulence I'm not going to tell you too much because I don't want to ruin the experience. It was busy, but not packed, which made the service stand out more than it should have. I had to ask for water twice, never got a refill, and overall felt largely ignored--minimal eye contact, no real warmth, just an impersonal feel that didn't match the space. It felt like a place that may be a bit of a victim of its own success--popularity has grown, but delivery hasn't fully kept pace. Part of the appeal here is the permanent taco truck outside, which I know from past visits is excellent, and I love the truck's outspoken, unapologetic support for immigrants. That said, the cocktail itself was excellent. I was specifically looking for a coffee-based drink before heading to another event, and the Cambures al Estilo Foster delivered on flavor. It was tiny, though--served in a small stemmed glass, gone in a few sips. It did the job, but some may find the portion underwhelming for the price. No major complaints, but nothing pulling me back either. I'm adding a fourth star on a bit of a hunch--I'd like to think they can dial it back in if I return.
