Her attitude was condescending and intolerant when I asked her to answer questions that I had. For a pediatrician's office, more care should be placed in making the office welcoming to children (age appropriate colors, toys, etc). Doctors should take time to introduce themselves to the children. It is a simple request to have doctors patiently and kindly answer parents' questions. I have never felt so unwelcome at a medical professional's office before. Answering simple questions is part of standard professional practice.

I had the pleasure of working with Melody who was a constant sunshine every morning I attended. Her professional expertise was able to accurately diagnose that my problem was not my speech ,but my vocal cords . She reviewed a video with me of what my condition entailed. She assisted with my selection of an ENT physician and helped set up the appointment. After my consultation I was scheduled for a Botox injection into my vocal cords . Dr. Calkins is realistic and gives sound advice on many topics. She is not one to get in a tissy over small things. She accepts that some kids are smaller and some kids are bigger. The office has always answered my urgent calls if I need to call in for a medical question after hours. They also squeeze me into the first available appointment if my kids are sick. They are great to the kids and my kids feel comfortable heading to the doctor's office. I have recommended their office to lots of friends.

With me being a…read moreconcerned mother I took her to the hospital due to me not being able to get a appointment through the office. After leaving the hospital they informed me to follow up with my pediatrician to see how's my child doing. My child begun to get sicker, so I called the office ( after hours ) the after hour receptionist took my message and informed me the doctor on call will call me back. It was during the Buffalo bills game, doctor Dr. Ehlenfield returned my phone call back. Once he called back he was very rude informing me that it's inappropriate to call him while he's at home with" this situation " the situation of my child being sick... then he processes to tell me it's nothing he can do for my child take her to the hospital " if I think she so sick " instead of being professional saying " I'm sorry to hear your concerns, tomorrow I'll get your child in first thing in the morning " instead it went a different way. I proceeded to tell him I don't feel comfortable with him seeing my child I want her recommend nurse to see her because since she's been going I prefer my child to see one person which is Anna. Fyi she's really great and nice and patient with my child. He informs me my child will not be seeing anyone but him after I mentioned multiple time I was uncomfortable with him seeing her due to him saying my medical concerns was not important. We got into a heated argument due to I didn't like how he was handling the situation and this is his practice. So the next day instead of bringing my child to the office I took her to the hospital where they later inform me she has an ear infection. On the discharge papers it states follow up with your doctor on her ear infection. So I called the office to make an appointment. I explained the the receptionist how I was upset and frustrated but nothing directing towards her. She was also very rude refusing my service stating my child is not getting a appointment which also led into a heated argument, then I proceeded to inform him I want my child to be seen I also mentioned I wanted blood work done on my child due to Dr. Ehlenfield saying my nephew had led and low iron after my sister followed up with the hospital she learned her child didn't so I became more concerned since he started my child has low iron and to give her medication. They also told me she's not getting blood work or being seen. She transferred me to the supervisor which was also very rude informing me they are denying my child to be seen her very words " there is no reason for your child to be seen " my child has an ear infection and was prescribed antibiotics from the hospital I'm no doctor how would I know when the ear infection is gone with out a follow up. They informed me that I was lying the hospital never told me to follow up with them but it's on the discharge papers.. I hope no other parent have to experience a doctor telling you , that your child being sick is not appropriate and I shouldn't had called while he was home like he don't get paid to take phone calls from home. I'll definitely be taking my child to another pediatrician who actually cares for their patients

We've seen almost every pediatrician here and everyone is knowledgeable and makes our concerns heard. When we were worried about our son's crying nonstop they got us an appointment the next day to check things out. You only ever see a doctor here, and portal messages are responded to quickly. I was always happy with all the dr's here and appreciated that we ALWAYS saw a dr at each visit. There was rarely a wait of more than a few minutes, which is great when you have a baby or toddler. The dr's were always very supportive and reassuring, even when my son had trouble gaining weight as a newborn (they continued to encourage my breastfeeding) and later when he had some very delayed gross motor skills. I would have stayed with these pediatricians forever if we hadn't moved!
