    Carolann being awesome

Carolann is awesome! She helped us with tea and made us cups of different teas and was super sweet. Thank you! Lots of different teas, sugars, and they seem awesome We tried Coconut oolong, Golden Monkey, and breakfast teas. All were really nice! They even had a deal but 5 get the 6th item free (the cheaper item of course) still awesome.

A wonderful collection of spices herbs teas. I cannot des rice the majesty of this place. The tea collection is marvelous with a unbelievable selection to please any palate. The spice are unbelievable. I bout a dry rub and the aroma was to die for it was if I could taste through the smell. It smelt of 100 bbq picnics. Then the sugars. You only think of brown and white anf that doesn't even scratch the surface of their selection of fine sugars and salts. Words escape the true nature if this place If you are a foodie or preparer of fine foods..you simply must come to see this place. By land air or sea get there. Bring your wallet it us pricey. $$$ for sure but we'll worth it.

It's gonna be a little pricey in comparison to larger stores but in my opinion worth every cent. Have been multiple times now and as someone who enjoys cooking as well as loose leaf tea, it's my form of heaven. Staff is always very helpful, friendly, and ready to assist even when busy.

Pros: Wide assortment of fresh loose leaf teas, infused salts, herbs, and seasoning blends. Cons: Does not yet have the ability to brew drinks for customers Bottom Line: If you wish to experiment with infused spices of fresh herbs in your cooking this is the place to come. When I walked into Mount Dora's Tea and Spice Exchange I was greeted by a very friendly staff. The staff made sure that they were available for any questions I might have and were considerate without being overbearing. What I especially appreciate is that there is no pressure to buy any products and that the staff allows you to smell as many of their products at your own convenience. You won't find this sort of autonomy at Teavana. The store is beautifully arranged and especially inviting. The black truffle sea salt and sriracha sea salt piqued my interest and will be an interesting combination to use. There is a fair assortment of teas, however, nothing that is too out of the ordinary. Where the store really shines is in the degree of fresh herbs that they have and their signature blends that are specially made for anything from a low country boil to panaag curry. You can find anything from cat nip to savory and anise seeds. I was really surprised to hear that the store was a franchise, albeit not a very large one with only 30+ stores. The store definitely has a personalized feel and is a much better alternative to other tea and spice franchises. Having this right next to the local olive oil/vinegar store is a potent combination for cooks.

Umeboshi and pink guava were new to the store; I tried flavors that might not be new, but are new to me. The store associate helped us find items and explain things to us. I left with the pineapple balsamic and the cranberry pear balsamic. Others I liked were the champagne vinegar and the mango balsamic and the grapefruit balsamic. I didn't like the key lime. The lemongrass mint was interesting, but very strong on the mint. Overall it was fun to see what they have and try new ones. I still left with only my favorites. I still have plenty of olive oil so I didn't buy any of those, but I did try the spicy Calabrian pesto oil. Oh- they have ice cream samples if you wanna try the balsamic on ice cream!

Having been introduced to infused olive oils and flavored balsamic vinegars as simple salad…read moredressing, my wife discovered Mount Dora Olive Oil Company (OOC) through word of mouth. Although Mount Dora can be a fun destination on its own, we spent a good amount of time in this store. Sampling is permitted and is necessary if taste matters to your palate. Another key to success is using the laminated pairing card that OOC provides. Once we found an olive oil we were particular towards, we used the chart to narrow down the balsamic vinegars. The balsamic vinegars on their own were quite tasty! However, we had to stick to our original goal and figure out the pairing. We eventually chose the Lime olive oil and Blackberry Ginger balsamic and the Garlic Olive oil and Neapolitan Herb balsamic. We also purchased the silicone pour caps that are reusable and easily cleaned in the dishwasher (we were told). The employees were very helpful in their assistance and recommendations and suggestions. We found out from them that the infused oils are imported from Chile and balsamic vinegars are imported from Italy. If enough is purchased during a trip and you're a part of their rewards program, you can get free stuff. On this visit, we crossed a threshold and received a free small bottle of balsamic vinegar, of our choice from the selection available for this reward. Reviews at home since implementing the simplifies salad dressing options have been very positive. One taster said, "mind blown." Our mission has been accomplished. If you ever have some time in Mount Dora, definitely stop in here and give your taste buds something different.

First, It didn't seem like the food was fresh, the fries tasted stale, the spinach pie was a huge blob and the presentation was awkward. The spinach pie was nearly the size of the plate and was nearly flat as a pancake. I was so confused why they even bothered placing it on a bed of lettuce. I ended up with wilted lettuce at the end. My biggest complaint is they need to pay attention to their cleanliness. I had something floating in my glass, there was a large cobweb hanging from the main light fixture, and when my food was brought out, the tray was covered in crumbs. At least wipe it down after clearing a table.

I ordered the minestrone and clams-linguini with red wine sauce. Her salad came out and the greens were fresh, but the salad was drowned in dressing. The pasta and chicken were over cooked. The portion was huge, but I think for the price it missed the mark. We did get some bread and it was lacking flavor aka love. My soup came out and the broth was flavorful, carrots tender and everything else was over cooked, especially the pasta. It tasted like the soup and pasta were cooking for hours causing the pasta to be soggy. As a chef, there are several techniques that could have been used to improve the soup texture. The broth was the best part of the soup. My main dish came out and it missed several profiles such as flavor, texture, and freshness. I could tell the clams were canned and the pasta was boxed. Pasta was a bit over cooked, but not as bad as the soup. The portion was huge and presentation was awesome. Overall, the ambiance was awesome. Live music was playing. Staff were friendly. Place was clean. Not sure the price justified the overall dining experience for me. They say you eat with your eyes, nose, and mouth. It definitely looked tasty,

We lived in the area back in 2005-2007 and Vincent's was one of those places that just stuck with us. You always wonder if places you loved years ago will still hold up... especially these days. Thankfully, Vincent's absolutely does. The food is still wonderful--rich, flavorful, and comforting in that nostalgic way that reminds you why you fell in love with it in the first place. Nothing felt watered down or "modernized" for the wrong reasons. It felt familiar, intentional, and genuinely cared for. Change isn't always progress. Sometimes staying loyal to who you are is the real win--and Vincent's has clearly done that. We left happy, full, and grateful that this place is still exactly what we remembered. Unfortunately, this visit left us a bit disappointed. We later noticed that a 20% gratuity had already been added to each of our tabs, which was not clearly disclosed. As a result, we unknowingly left our usual 20% tip on top of that. We absolutely respect and support fair compensation for servers, but automatic gratuity should be clearly communicated upfront. When we casually mentioned it--without asking for anything to be removed--the response we received felt dismissive. More concerning, our waitress (Becca) then appeared to discuss the situation with another table in a way that felt unprofessional. We still appreciate the quality of the food and have enjoyed many visits here, but transparency and professionalism matter. Since we rotate local restaurants for our weekly outings, experiences like this do influence where we choose to return.
