    Spinach pie and Greek salad

So so. The service was very slow. My spinach pie was good, and the Greek salad was fresh. $15 was slightly on the high end for the portion size. My son ordered Fettuccine Alfredo for the same amount, and all he was served was a very small portion of pasta and nothing else. He was still hungry.

Literally the worst Italian food I've ever had. It's hard to believe these good reviews are real, instead of purchased. Three dishes and two appetizers and they were bordering on inedible. Piccata had a bland flour/cornstarch thickened heavy gravy, that was tragic. Chicken was overcooked and dry. Other paste dishes had herbs thrown in by the buckets. Canned sauces that someone without culinary training thought they were making batter. The bruschetta liters had more red onion than tomato. The calamari was just overcooked frozen rings. Prices were fine dining level and this was like a teenager cooked for their family the first time. Also, everything was slow. One hour between order and plates at table. Inside was extremely loud.

Our first visit to Mt Dora. We were walking and found this cute restaurant. So in we go. We ordered a little of wine. The server was very attentive. The bread was warm and delish. My husband ordered shrimp scampi and I had the eggplant Rollantini. We will differently go back when we visit Mt Dora again.

I tried Olive Branch for the first time yesterday and the food was so good. It had a lot of amazing flavors. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to a friend or family member. The waitress we had was so sweet and helpful. The atmosphere was very nice.

Mediterranean Dinner Salad with House Dressing

We found the Olive Branch from friends that had been there earlier in the week and loved it. Our plan was to meet up with family to catch up and enjoy a meal together and this was the perfect spot! Our server, George, took fine care of us with humor, style and a good knowledge of their menu. Each of our dishes were on point and cooked to perfection...PS- the House Dressing is the go to, take my word for it! We will be back!

Olive branch is a cute family owned restaurant in downtown Mount Dora. We went for lunch and sat outside, under one of the umbrellas. We were seated immediately, and our waitress was at our table before we knew it. We all ordered the Gyro, $14. It was a good size and very flavorful, it was served on a lightly toasted pita and had lettuce, tomato and onion. It was served with a little cup of tzatziki. The Gyro was also served with a Mediterranean side salad, which included olives, cucumbers, and feta cheese, as well as crispy golden french fries. Our server really knew the menu, when asked about any of the items she was able to clearly elaborate on them, she also shared, with passion, the several items that were her favorites. I also heard another server at a different table speak with equal knowledge and confidence.

I was pleasantly surprised with Olive Branch, and I enjoyed my Friday night dinner. It's a restaurant located in downtown Mount Dora and closes around 10pm. We were able to enjoy the live music, on the outside patio with the fire lamps; It was a great setting for a dinner date. Our waiter was exceptional and accommodated all of our needs. We ordered the chicken Marsala and, with it being such a large portion, we split the meal. Our waiter was kind enough to do this before bringing the meals to the table. The food was good, but a bit bland without adding my own salt and pepper (but not terribly bland). We also ordered a few cocktails, which were made well. The prices are reasonable, ranging from about $9-14 for drinks. Overall, I look forward to returning again.

Sold 3 stars for me. Our server was great and was very personable. My beer was not very cold. The French Onion soup was luke warm and the chicken marsala was uneventful for $29. Overall, I thought this place was very expensive. In addition, the ladies room needs a deep cleaning of the baseboards, grout and in the corners where the tile meets the wall. On the plus side, they take reservations when many other restaurants in this small town do not.

First time in Mount Dora & was looking for outside seating for this beautiful day. Had great service from a young man named Junior, he was super sweet and patient with our large party. Food was good, had fried mozzarella, mussels, Mediterranean salad, gyro and it was all very tasty

Wonderful spot tucked away in Mount Dora. The food and service was great. Price point seems steep at first, but well worth it. The portions are generous and the food is great. Had the lasagna and salad it was very savory and cheesy. Would benefit from some brightening up the interior decor.

Even on a busy Friday evening, I was able to snag a cozy round table in the back for my friend and me, which was a pleasant surprise. Bonus points for the upstairs bathrooms not requiring a code (unlike the ones downstairs)--a small but appreciated detail! I ordered an espresso martini that was dairy-free (which I love), but it ended up being a bit too sweet and slightly watery for my taste. I only took a few sips before deciding not to finish it--not bad, just not quite for me. Since I was the DD, I didn't bother swapping it out, but it was still the right call. My friend's gin cocktail, on the other hand, was light, mild, and super refreshing--she loved it! Also, shoutout to the bartender for bringing the drinks over to our table--such a nice touch. I'd absolutely come back and give another cocktail a try. The atmosphere & service alone makes it worth a return visit!

That's what we did that morning. Ambiance was great. It felt like each little dining area was a different room in a big, semi-haunted mansion. Eclectic books and paintings and mirrors and other baubles adorned much of the walls, making for plenty of looking around time during you meal. Very fun. Service was really good. The pacing of the meal was great, and our server was very friendly. We were always with drink, and she knew the menu backwards and forwards, even the special dishes of the night. As for the food, we went whole hog with two apps, two mains, and a dessert to share. Out of everything we ordered, only one of them remains on the current menu, which is a great sign. I love a rotating, seasonal menu. It shows effort, and it definitely encourages return patronage. We started with the Ciabatta Board (toasted ciabatta, house butter made with sun dried tomato, roasted red pepper, parmesan, garlic, chive). This was nice. It was very sun dried tomato, so if you don't like them, don't get this. But very soft, toasty bread made this very lovely. We also got an escargot app which was very creamy and soup-like. The snails were complimented well by the spinach. And the whole thing came with a nice little breadstick. I saved some of the bread from the board for some sopping. Pro move. For our mains, we got a miso butter New York strip and some sort of Asian themed duck. For both mains, the proteins were cooked very very well, and the portion sizes were a good size compared to what I was expecting. Both sets of taters were good. The mash was very smooth and creamy, the roasted baby potatoes were cooked all the way through and were nice and naturally buttery. Both were served with a seasonal veg mix that was pretty ok. It rounded out the plate, but it won't change your world or anything. We finished off with one of the best slices of cheesecake I've ever had. Incredibly smooth with the perfect cheesecake density, the perfect amount of chocolate chips inside, and a nice little crust that added that little bit of texture that is needed from the crust. Overall, quite a meal! To survive in a small town with these prices and those quality ingredientes and that unique of a menu design is very impressive. I will certainly be back.

Asked for a water immediately, and set my things down before going to the restroom... which was clean, easy to find, and well stocked, so zero issues there! Hehehe..... When I returned, I had a water and the bar menu as well as the lunch menu waiting for me. I ended up getting the Crooked Can/Frog and Monkey collaboration IPA, which was lovely. I ordered the turkey and brie sandwich, because reading it on the menu outside was what had originally drawn me into the restaurant, and a cup of the French Onion soup rather than getting the fries that came with. The soup was up first, and it was delightful- nice, hardy chunks of onion without being too big/sliding off my spoon, a well developed broth, and a fantastic amount of cheese. The sandwich was lovely, great slices of turkey and decently sized pieces of brie and apple to go along with it. Unfortunately, when I went to get the second half of my sandwich, I noticed what looked like a dark beard hair on it.... as I was dining alone, and my long hair was tied up, definitely not mine. I called over my server, and I pointed it out to her... she asked if I wanted to have a new sammie or get it taken off the bill. I asked if I could pay for the soup, since I had finished it, but not the sammie and she absolutely agreed to that. I wrapped up my meal and left to keep going on my day.
