cool stuff

they have every tea and spice imaginable here. it is so fun to smell everything, especially while reading the tea labels to see whats inside. the girl helping us out was so kind as well, she recommended us her favorite tea (they have a really awesome cafe here) and added some lemon and honey. out of the millions of drinks my boyfriends and i had on the trip, this was our favorite. warm, sweet, healing us against the cold of the wharf. highly recommend coming here to check out their stuff, especially good for souvenirs :)

Mango iced tea with boba

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The Spice & Tea Exchange was a very unique store at Pier 39, which once you enter has a wide array of different spices, teas, and tea making trinkets as well as some candles for you to browse and sniff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] At the back of the store there is also a bar area where you can choose from a variety of fresh brewed teas that can be made either iced or hot and you can even add Boba to it. When I went, I decided to get one of the ice tea mango flavors and add Boba to it. The disappointing part however was the taste of the tea which was incredibly watery and flavorless. It unfortunately tasted like a worse version of Lacroix, and the only redeeming factor was the little burst of mango flavor from the Boba. [[HIGHLIGHT]]That being said, the store itself is really cute and has some really lovely tea themed knickknacks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This little tea shop right on the pier is so cute! They also really have TONS of tea leaves and accessories to choose from. I've really never seen so many! Ordered the iced earl gray crème latte; and it was amazing! Honestly one of the best tea lattes I've had here in SF. You can just taste the quality of it!! Staff was extremely nice and knowledgeable! The time we were there, it was just her and the store was pretty busy, but she was able to tend to everyone! She was also nice and heard her answering several questions people had! Overall would highly recommend this place for a pickup on the pier!

I went a bit crazy here, I bought 12 tea pouches of different flavors. Got 13th for free.

Stumbled upon this store & me & my daughter said "OOO, TEA"! (We love tea!) Came in and the store was sooo fragrant. The 1st associate gave us the heads up about the products, all the associates were sooo friendly! Teas, spices were available & w/mask on, we can open the jarred items to smell the fragrance. Items come in different size packages. We were given a basket & got the small packs, I didn't realize we got 12! But got the 13 for free, SCORE! Can't wait to finish our purchase, we'll be back for more!

I absolutely love tea! I was so excited when my significant other pointed out this cute little spice and tea exchange shop located on the second deck at pier 39. I ordered the pomegranate green tea with lemon and the international breakfast with oat milk and honey. Due to the shop being out of to go cups, we decided to drink our tea in the shop. Check out these cute heart shaped mugs! Customer service was outstanding and wifi is available.

Amy was so wonderful helping me pick out some spices today!

I walked in here after seeing the word "tea" on the building. But I ended up walking out with a bag full of cooking spices. The smells are ridiculously good! Amy and the owner, Jennifer, spent so much time with me letting me smell different things and try different things. I am so glad I wandered in here and can not wait for my next visit to San Francisco to re-stock on my spices. Thank you guys!

Daily defense Hot tea

I discovered The Spice and Tea Exchange three years ago. I first went to their smaller location at the Pier 39, and I am a regular at their store. When Covid hit and the store was closed, I became their online regular customer. I am definitely a TEA person, and I love Caffeine free teas. One of my most favorite teas at this location are: Mint and Basil, Aurora Blue (brews blue, pretty cool), peach turmeric, ginger lemongrass, chamomile twist, daily defense. I have also tried their: dried rose petals and dried lavender flowers. I also like their white pepper and paprika spices. In the sugars, I have used their flavors of: apple cinnamon, cardamom, red raspberry, coconut, ginger, rose. I know a lot of their products are very underrated and are must trys for the people who like natural products. They also serve hot and ice teas freshly made in store. I got myself a nice hot tea on a rainy San Francisco Valentine's Day evening. Totally worth it.

My husband and I honeymooned in San Francisco, and spent quite a bit of time around the wharf and Pier 39.

They have a lot of options in stock here, so I loaded up on spicy chili crisp, chiu chow style chili crisp oil, and some mala red oil chili sauce by the classic Lee Kum Kee brand. I also bought a bag of chewy 陈皮糖 chénpí táng that I saw next to the cash register while I was at it. Altogether after the 3% credit card fee, my total came to $18.08. Such a bargain, I will be back.

Luckily my other half happen to find a parking spot right in front of Golden Way. I had plans to go to the other store, I went last time but this works out perfect. The jumbo dried shrimp right in front of store caught my eyes. Stopped by real quick and got everything I needed, wish I could grab more but I had to limit myself since I didn't bring an extra luggagge. Golden Way, a great name, Lets go shop the Golden Way, reminds me of a store here at Chinatown, although very small cramped store it's very organized. Owner does a great job at storing everything and making use of all the spaces. Lots of Asian products here but no fresh produce or frozen products . Credit cards accepted as well, which is great! I ended up using my credit card for my entire purchase since usually cash is preferred in Chinatown. My co-worker wanted a specific soy sauce but no luck in finding it. What did I end up buying here at Golden Way, a LB of jumbo dried shrimp ( I think it was $24. or 25. lb) dried salted fish, dried scallops, long rice noods, pickled veggies, siracha, sauces, condensed milk, preserved eggs. Why on some of the products, Prices actually lower here. The only thing I wish Golden Way does is have prices on some of products, I had to ask how much?! The owner is nice & patient with me. I will be back again! I can't wait to use all those goodies, it made it safely back to Oahu.
