Firs time going to this blue bottle yesterday and here is my review: I ordered an oat milk latte unsweetened. I asked if they had stevia, they said yes. But no they didn't. No worries though because the latte was so smooth and mildly sweet on its own. I enjoyed it, it is what I look for in a latte. Service was fine, just what I expect. They took my order and it took about 3 mins to receive it. Great. The surrounding is very touristy but filled with locals too. I mean I love SF I love this area. I will say their bar with the sugar, napkins, etc. was a little messy but over all the inside of their workstation looked crowded but tidy. read more

Yesterday stopped by, I ordered a cherry blossom latte (seasonal drink) and a matcha lemon pastry. The cherry blossom was delish it reminded me of a chocolate raspberry truffle. The heart design on it was so cute. The matcha lemon I could not taste much of the matcha but was good. This coffee shop is inside the Ferry building and usually has a line, their coffee is delish. Blue Bottle is my favorite coffee chain, and I will always stop to grab an iced mocha when I find one. This location is no different, and one of my favorite parts of the Ferry Building is knowing that I'll get my Blue Bottle. It's nice to get it, and then sit outside and enjoy the water. Definitely a busier location - took a while for us to get our drinks. Not sure why, but my coffee was more expensive here than at other Blue Bottle locations. Overall, good choice for your caffeine-fix. read more

The customer service was okay but I was impressed. I've heard so many good things about this coffee, but for the cost I could have gone anywhere. The employee helping at the Register seemed semi new so when I asked questions and he didn't really know that didn't help. I haven't had this place since way back in the early 2010's when I was in SF and was very fond of it. When visiting I was very excited to see there was a location here in the Ferry Building/Marketplace. I ordered a cortado and friend ordered a sweet blossom latte and a matcha lemon loaf (dry and could use a matcha icing imo). I thought it was ok, maybe it's nostalgia but could definitely get better quality coffee for the price in the area. Great location though. read more

Blue Bottle has always done the job! Though a local Bay Area establishment, I wouldn't often gravitate towards getting a sip from here. Out with my friend; he needed caffeine, and our walk led us here. Being in the ferry building, customers come and go. It can be busy or quiet. Since they're a stall, you line up, order, and take your drinks to go. Service was fine, and drinks came out at a reasonable pace. I got an Iced Matcha Latte with Oat Milk. It's what I needed. It was creamy, earthy, and tasty. I wouldn't mind getting it again. My friend enjoyed his coffee. If you're looking for coffee in the Ferry Building, Blue Bottle Coffee is one of the better options. Me and my girlfriend were around the ferry building on Saturday. We tried the NOLA coffee cold brew my girlfriend got just a regular latte. The total amount was about $12. Service here was very fast and reliable. It was super crowded in the vary building. A lot of tourist coming in so definitely come early. read more

We stopped by to get some coffee to go with the bread we got from Acme, and enjoyed them outdoors. Coffee is really nice and smooth, but definitely on the pricey side. About $7 for a 12 oz latte. There was a short line which moves pretty quickly, and staff is really nice and helpful with suggestions as we are new to BB. They have a lot of pretty coffee mugs on sale. Saw a small jar of instant for like $23, and their bags are about twice as much as the average bags. read more

Another visit to the fabulous Ferry Building on a typical cool morning in SF...a Blue Bottle Coffee visit was in order! The line moved quickly and friendly staff made my order quickly as well. I ordered a latte - so smooth and creamy! - and purchased a bag of beans to enjoy at home. Friends ordered and enjoyed their cappuccino and oat milk matcha latte as well. I didn't order any baked goods on this visit, but did eye them. I've had a few in the past and they were always fresh and delicious. Thanks Blue Bottle for fueling my morning! Needed a fuel up, there was a line at Blue Bottle but it moved quickly. I got their iced matcha latte which was delicious - just lightly sweetened. We tried their regular croissant, pull up everything croissant, and a zaatar onion scone. I would pass on the scone next time, but the croissants were buttery and flaky. read more

As one of the representatives of the second coffee revolution, Blue Bottle is, in my eyes, on the same level as Philz Coffee, treating coffee as a fine culinary art. I really enjoy their rose and cucumber flavored sodas, and the coffee milk in their refrigerated section is also very tasty. Not to mention their own NOLA New Orleans style iced coffee, which is incredibly rich and delicious. As for the price, it is actually quite reasonable, a bit more expensive than Starbucks and about the same as a bubble tea shop. On regular weekdays there is usually no need to wait in line, but on weekends and holidays you will basically have to line up. Grabbed a cup of Joe before my spa services in Santana Row. I am slowly but surely switching over from Starbucks to Blue Bottle Coffee since my coffee palate is maturing. Gawd ... what does that even mean? I'm a coffee snob? Once I find something that I like I stick to it. My chosen drink here is the Hot Nola Breve.......Breve (hella fancy word for, use half & half) . Fairly popular coffee spot that is ubiquitous in SF. This one is located in the Embarcadero, ferry building area. At lunchtime it was still fairly busy but the line moves fast. I got the iced NOLA (New Orleans style coffee which states it is sweet and creamy), which tasted like regular coffee with a little bit of creaminess. A quick pour with lots of ice is $6.24 which is a bit pricy for what I got, though it was decent. I see the appeal if the drinks are discounted via membership / regular customer app but paying full price is a long shot compared to comparable / better coffee shops in the area. read more

The team inside handled it really well, and we got our four drinks in a reasonable amount of time considering the weekend rush. This was my first visit to this establishment, and I didn't know much about them, so I went with a cold brew to see what they were all about. I asked for just a tiny splash of milk, and it turned out fantastic. Smooth, rich, and seriously crave-worthy. The NOLA beans they used delivered exactly what the sign promised--sweet and creamy chicory coffee. I was impressed. They also have a simple selection of food items if you're looking for a quick bite, and some merchandise displayed in the middle of the checkout line. It's definitely a bit on the pricey side, but for the quality and taste, I think it's worth it. The space is clean and inviting with a nice aesthetic. No matter who takes my order, the process is straight forward and they honor even the most complicated orders. The cafe is always clean and clutter free. Even though they literally sell everything but the floor tiles, it doesn't feel like a museum gift shop. Not busy at all. An elderly man trying to decide what to order so I give him some space. The clerk should easily see I am waiting for the man to complete his order. I walk up to the clerk and he walks away to chat with another employee. When he came back I asked if he could not see I was waiting. Said no. Clerk needs to know how to make eye contact and "read" customers in line. Next: over $5 for the smallest mediocre coffee. Not worth it. read more

After visiting almost every Blue Bottle in the city I can confidently say this is by the far the worst location. During my first visit I watched an employee who was supposed to be training another employee based on their conversation and out of nowhere began berating this poor employee in the middle of the store, another employee had to pull her away where I and everyone else could hear her screaming threats at the employee she was supposed to be training in the back. This employee had glasses and dark hair. I assumed an outburst would result in a firing but when I returned a few weeks later, hoping to have a better experience not only was she still there, when I asked another employee what happened to the girl who was screamed at, they said she was fired! Also during this visit, my drink was taking a little longer than usual and I saw other people who ordered after me getting their drinks. I attempted to ask another employee if they wouldn't mind checking on it, he was shorter with dark hair and he put his hand up and said "sorry, busy" not even making eye contact before walking to the back. I never got my drink and had to ask another employee for a refund, I was told the employee who rudely brushed me off was named Manuel. I will not be returning to this god awful location again and will be sure to tell everyone to avoid this place at all cost. read more

I've heard about Blue Bottle Coffee for years, but just had the chance to try it out. On an early Friday morning, around 7:30ish I walked from our hotel to the Ferry building with a couple coworkers to grab coffee. There was no line and they had a variety of options for drinks as well as food. I ended up getting the seasonal option and an everything pull-apart croissant and they were ready quickly. We walked around a bit before finding a place to sit and enjoy everything. The coffee was delicious and I loved the attention to detail with the latte art and the little topping. The everything pull-apart was good, but I would have preferred a fluffier version versus how crispy this was. It wasn't bad, just a personal preference. I love a fluffy croissant experience. From other reviews it seems you should avoid peak hours if you don't like a wait. We walked around the Ferry building a few times during the trip and the lines can get long. The staff there was also really nice, even though it was early. read more

Cappuccino was delicious, but I think I was given oatmilk instead of almond. I never saw an almond milk container. They had oat and a plant-based cream out where I could see them though. Everything moves too fast with all the people who move through the building, so I'm not really sure. It was so creamy and delicious, though it was a bit much milk for a cappuccino, medium. Maybe I should have added the word dry when I ordered. Amazingly fast service. I will definitely return and look for other locations. The place was busy, but the line moved pretty fast, so we didn't have to wait long, which was a nice surprise considering the sizable crowd. My understanding is that they don't serve anything that isn't listed on their menu, (ex. no 'vanilla latte' just the listed 'caffe latte'), but everything on it feels a bit more unique than your standard coffee shop offerings, so we didn't really mind. I ended up getting a caffe latte, which was really good, and definitely a big step up from what you get at most big chain coffee spots. That being said, it was also a bit on the expensive side, two drinks came out to $16.50, which is a quite bit more than we're used to. Overall, if you're willing to spend a little more for a top-notch cup of coffee, Blue Bottle is a solid choice. read more
