We were trying to kill some time and just randomly stumbled into this place. Rex greeted us right away and gave us a quick breakdown about everything in the store. He was very knowledgeable and proud. I love these types of small businesses, they carry everything that we love. I even got a quick free tasting of a Belgium scotch that he sells. All the labels on the glass bottles are handwritten which makes them extra special. I'm obsessed with the few things I bought and now I know where to go when I need a gift to give!!

Best Old Faahioned! This 200ml was $29.99. Worth every penny!

What a GEM!!! Was walking around the shopping center being tourists that we are and randomly came across this store like 2 min before closing. The gentleman who is the owner of the store welcomed us in (my wife & I) with open arms and began explaining the store and what their items were. After a few free sample sips and 30 minutes later (although they should have closed 28 minutes), we ended up buying this small batch of Old Fashioned. I'm an avid Old Fashion drinker and this might be the best I've ever had! This 200ml equals to about 3 generous servings. So very well worth it. Will certainly be back to try others! Thank you for the exceptional service!

I wandered into VOM FASS by accident while exploring Ghiradelli Square. The oils and vinegars were really interesting to learn about and taste test. The guy here is really knowledgeable and super nice. I'm not the biggest fan of vinegar but there are so many types here and the ones I tasted were all so unique. More along my line of interest were the spirits. Some are available for sampling and I'll tell you I am a fan. One negative though is that not everything was in stock.

Wow! This store is amazing! Vom Fass Oils Vinegars Spirits as their name, they have many oils, vinegars and spirits for purchase in store or they can ship it to you. The very knowledge gentleman here is super helpful and friendly. He will tell you everything you needs to know about how to choices what kind of the oils or vinegars to pairs of the food and adjusts to your tastes. They have many delicious vinegars here with different tastes and the original vinegars with different aged up to 20+ years vinegar. The older one is more sweet! You can try it before making your decision! I like the 18 years original vinegar the best! This is a very special store in a very famous location. You will definitely be able to get your taste buds take care if you like vinegars or oils for your food.

If you ask any great chef what the secret to an excellent meal is they will tell you two things: freshness and quality. In skilled hands, something as simple as quality oils and vinegars elevate an everyday offering into something that will have family and friends equally impressed and delighted. The beauty of this shop: They offer a great variety They offer non-rushed samples How it goes down: Walk in and when you are greeted, you will also be offered a sample of anything you are curious to try. Try samples. Start thinking of what you would use it for - or you can cheat because you aren't a great home chef and ask what you can do with the ones you like. Pick a vessel to put your selections in. They will fill and label your glass vessels accordingly. When you get home you will find cards that describe what you've purchased and if you flip it over, there is a recipe! Their website also offers recipes and if you have a good one to share, they just might post it. Why settle for average when it is so easy to elevate what you create in your kitchen with quality ingredients? Start here. Do not pass go, do not collect $200. Thank me later.

While sight seeing at Ghirardelli Square with visiting family members, we found ourselves in front of this store. My first reaction after trying to pronounce the sign was what kind of place is this? As I peeked into the window, my second thought was, that it was just another specialty condiments store. But when my boyfriend went inside, I decided to follow suit as my curiosity became peaked. It turned out that this shop had more to offer than expected! I was amazed at the large number of choices you get in flavored oils, vinegars and powdered seasonings. This unique store displays casks of infused oils such as extra virgin olive oils, infused oils, nut oils, seed oils, and wellness oils, featured with smooth tasting flavors like pistachio, walnut, garlic, avocado, basil, chili and a whole lot more! The vinegars are aged in oak barrels while blended with their own special recipes that included ingredients such as apple, cherry, lemon, grape, ginger, white or red wines and even beer! The friendly and helpful staff were very enthusiastic about their products and offered free tasting of any number of the oils and vinegars separately or mixed together. At first it seemed strange for me to start tasting the oils, but the nice flavors quickly eased my mind. Then when they combined it with a flavored vinegar, I realized how delicious mixing them both together could be! So many options are available here that also include a large variety of spices and seasonings. Just find the flavors you want, purchase the size and number of bottles you want to fill, and then they fill and seal them for you so you don't have to worry about any leakage before getting them home. This is definitely a shop that caters to anyone who enjoys gourmet cooking. Now, the possibilities can be endless in creating your own unique recipes or give to someone as a gift. And it's nice to know that you can also order from them online! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1P4m_29MOpU

Located at Ghirardelli Square it's a small shop filled with the most fragrant oils and vinegars. Vom Fass is staffed with some very knowledgeable employees and I also had the opportunity to meet the owner she's a sweetheart and was very sincere and thanked me for making a few purchases. After a few tastings we decided to go with a bottle of Basil Infused oil paired with a Calamansi Vinegar the ratio is 2:1 oil to vinegar. This citrus vinegar combined with the oil is going to go great on a fresh spring mix or I'm thinking it might go great on grill asparagus or some blackened Grouper. This store has a large selection of dry ingredient seasonings as well. They also have a website and ship anywhere in the lower 48. You can't go wrong spending some time in here.

This was my second time here. If you love olive oil and balsamic vinegar - excellent service - wine - and friendly conversation... you must stop by! Yes, you get to taste the flavors and yes you will want to take some home... they also ship... FYI! We bought some oil and vinegar that together was like a delicious Smokey BBQ... it's amazing, we can't wait to get home and start cooking. We spoke with the owner Mr. Jamie and he was so friendly and pleasant. I sipped on a fabulous Pinot Blanc that I had to bring a bottle home with me, so good. I cant believe I don't remember the other gentleman helping us, he was so nice and knowledgeable about the wine. I just enjoyed this part of our visit so much. The shop is beautiful, the service is outstanding, and I am going to keep my fingers crossed that they pop up in Reno for some of our amazing events!

We had the pleasure of speaker with the staff at the Vom Fass Oils Vinegars Spice stores. They have very good products. We did some olive oil tasting and purchased some for home use.

Rex was super nice and wecoming. We tried so many different oils and vinegars. Wow. They were awesome! The hazelnut oil is crazy good. Mango vinegar was super tasty as well. Ginger seasame oil pretty good too. Ugh they were all so yummy and Rex knew all the concoctions that could blow anyone away

This is a new oil, vinegar, and spices store in Ghirardelli Square. You can sample all of their products, and that we did trying a pistachio oil (delicious..tasted very much like pistachio), garlic olive oil (also great), avocado oil (ehh..), chili sunflower oil (interesting but not too spicy), and a fig chili balsamic vinegar (the winner! really delicious and interesting). They have a huge variety there so come ready to try some different things out (but note that the people who work there need to 'pour' the sample for you due to some weird health code rule, but there were a lot of people working there all of whom were very friendly and ready to help). The prices seemed reasonable for a specialty store, and varied depending on the expense of the ingredients. For the fig chili vinegar, I had to buy a re-fillable 100 ml bottle, which was a little pricey at $3 but a one time purchase, and then the vinegar itself was a little less than $10. They were really excited to meet some locals since the majority of people who go to Ghirardelli Square are tourists. They have a pile of 20% off your next purchase cards ready for people who live in the area. All in all I will definitely be back there to buy more things for myself and for others as gifts. Worth checking out!

I definitely feel like the team implementing the 7:45AM start time to line up has helped a lot. Not only is it better for the neighbors, but it also makes the whole experience feel a lot less chaotic compared to showing up super early and scrambling to get in line. Everything feels much calmer and organized now. As for the pastries: To be honest, it really depends on what you like. I'm one that gravitates towards pretty much anything with meat and chocolate. Because of that, most of their savory/meaty and creamy pastries are always a must for me. They're super flaky, flavorful and decadent. You can really tell how much time and effort they put into making everything as high quality as possible, especially since you can see them making everything from the window while waiting in line. All in all, I think there's been a lot of improvement over the past year with some trial and error. Their pastries have always been delicious and I personally think it's worth the wait. I recommend getting to the area closer to 7:45AM so you have a better chance of being towards the front of the line. If not, it's still better to come before opening, I just wouldn't recommend getting there right before they open. By then it's not guaranteed that you'll get everything you want since they do run out depending on how many people are there.
