I've suffered from back issues, limiting my mobility for 10 years. I had epidurals that would offer temporary relief. Dr. Jason Hartman suggested the M.I.L.D procedure and it has been a game changer for me. I had the procedure done in January 2024 and was only able to walk a half of a block prior. The reviews that are negative about this group correct I have a platinum Blue Shield PPO. Yes it's through the exchange. No one should be denying service with this plan. I can choose any doctor. There is definitely probably some sort of bias or prejudice towards the amount of money that the insurance companies will give out, even though I can get the best neurologist, Ventura county or Santa Barbara with my medical program I'm just looking for something closer to home read more

In the past, I've had issues with former doctors listening to what it was I tried to say and my blood pressure would spike really high. Upon my appointments, Dr. Hartman truly listens and asks the proper questions. He makes me feel as ease and calm which makes my blood pressure not spike. I've had several visits with Dr. Hartman and each time I know I will be treated with respect and understanding and I want to say Thank you to him and his staff...!!! read more

Not sure why they have five star rating. It's a Workers Comp mill. PROS 1) front desk staff very nice in the Oxnard location 2) easy location to find 3) initial consultation easy to obtain CONS 1) They had me complete a 15 page questionnaire that was repetitive. 2) First I saw an MA, then a PA then the MD ...1 hour later. 3) The PA spent 4:28 minutes editing a document while I was sitting in the room with a robe on. He was impatient and pissy. Said my back problem could be cancer. Give me a $&@$ing break. 4) Saw the doctor who spent 3:59 minutes with me. Since I am not a candidate for surgery (wow what a surprise) had minimal interest in my case. Referred me to his pain management colleague ... thanks doc. 5) MD ordered MRIs. A week later I asked that they change the order to include my hips too. OMG, you can't imagine how disinterested staff was. Said I had to return to see MD and request the change. Newsflash I work, I am in pain and I don't have time to kiss the ring!!! read more

Wonderful place great caring professionals at least the one that I've met I've not met all of them there used to be a doctor in athani there did a horrible job on my wrist my right one especially big giant bones sticking out the right side of my hand My index finger no longer works out for the surgery he should have put a cast on it to protect it he didn't that was his big mistake other than that Dr Hartman is absolutely wonderful at anything that he does would recommend him to anyone only I don't want you because he's already so busy he hardly has time for me anymore anyway it's that way everywhere though so I do recommend it they are good caring professionals and guess what they actually have their own surgery center there very clean professional the most caring professional people I've ever seen in a very long time Go there it's at the bottom of East Korea That's all I can tell you okay good luck bye Victoria read more

If you check the "Not recommended reviews" you won't find any, there's a reason for that. At first I had an issue with the wait time, but I spoke with the receptionist and never had a problem after that. They're a very busy office but still manage to provide both professional and personal attention at the same time. The Physician Assistant, Jesse (Jacobs), is not only a great guy but thorough and knowledgeable as well. Please don't take my word on Dr. Moelleken, Google him yourself. Stand back as his Creds blow your doors off! I had a serious industrial accident and came here for Post Op care. I've never had an occasion to doubt or question that decision in over a year. I'm nearing the end of my treatment and I can wholeheartedly recommend the S.O.C. without hesitation. His front office girls are awesome, as well! read more

The spine and Orthopedic Center has the best doctors, sugeons, and staff in this area. Like anyone else the doctor's office is the last place I would ever want to be . Immediately I felt so comfortable and so safe under the care of these professionals. The front office staff welcomes you and walks you through the new patient process which can be very daunting for anyone who is not feeling well. This goes the same for all of the nurses and nurse's assistants that prep you before the doctor will see you. I've had such different experiences dealing with this particular injury and I couldn't imagine ever ending up on the operating table under anyone elses care. I was fortunate enough to find Dr Matthew Pifer who agreed to fix my broken leg after numerous other doctors were intimidated by the injury. He is intelligent, kind, confident and the epitome of who you would want to take care of you when you are injured. This Doctor is by far the best doctor i ever had in my life, and i trust his skills 150%. I was so scared when I first got hurt and dr. Pifer made me feel confident that he would get me back to my active self. Shout out to his amazing staff all the wonderful women working the front desk, Zack, Art the xray pro, and the especially Mr. Jesse Jacobs who continues to monitor my progress each week. read more

I was referred to this place by my chiropractor. & as soon as I walked in the receptionist didn't even acknowledge me. Kept talking on her phone & answering the phone before helping me. & when she did finally put the phone down. She helped people who got there AFTER me. That is just very rude & not professional at all. Ever since that the receptionists have always been rude. I shouldn't have to make them acknowledge me. They should do it on their own. But besides the rude receptionists. The doctors & the doctor assistance are as sweet as can be. Very helpful people. Just those receptionists. Maybe they need some customer service classes. read more

Well I don't know where to start , this make shift unorganized orginisation and I use the term loosely.Has cost me so much money time, discomfort beside deflimation of my character. Back in August dr.jacques again using the term loosely made an accusation against me that has effected my life severely in more ways than one. First I will start at day one I had been taking a strong pain med for ten yrs now,my spinal problems literally start at the base of my neck and end at the top of my waist with a couple of scoliosis curves in between I've not once asked for stronger or more meds. even though when I did have my back operated on they put bad stuff (cage) in back that caused UNWANTED BONE GROWTH as it grows scoliosis gets worse hence more pain.A couple months prior to seeing him I got into a car accident air bag did not go off I was ejected from car on life support for a few days broke my femur and other things.Been doing same meds 10 yrs for my back issues now I'm on a cane from very recent femur break he says to me well you aren't going to be able to get this medication from us we don't normally give this stuff out,so I will be DECREASING you're amount starting TODAY.If you argue with one of those GOD LIKE pain doctors well then they label you a DRUG SEEKER.When I get back home I call my attorney and tell her they need to find me a new doctor was told, oh he is ok just stick it out....? Well four to five months later I go in there he said that I gave him a dirty urine test .I have been to nearly 200( TWO HUNDRED ) URINE TESTS with not ONE dirty before or after that alleged one. Then said that I admitted it also.I asked for results knowing it was a misunderstanding,boy was it.Allegedly I had not one but NINE different things in my urine.Three or four weren't even scheduled drugs,three different types of diazepams three different types of alcohol prevention meds .I have not drank alcohol since 1990 . NO ONE would have that combination in there system NO ONE!!!!!! So i took the results the (LIST) down to my pharmacy asked the pharmacy MANAGER if he could give me the run down on each of the pills when I came to pick the list up he asked me didn't that doctor even read this before accusing you of it.HE was the one who pointed out the alcohol abuse medsand the nonscheduled pills(over the counter pills) I said obviously not.Well when such allegations are put upon you it nearly ruins you . #1. Withdrawal ( YOU LITERALLY BEG GOD TO TAKE YOUR LIFE)..... #2. YOU now have a very large black mark on your med. Hitory. #3. Then you PRAY TO GOD he blesses you with the ability to locate another doctor just to see you let alone give you pain meds that you have been doing for the last ten years. Which allows you to sit ,stand, walk ,and not cry. I could go on but this is much to much already.... Bottom line is this extremely unprofessional chop shop they have the audacity to claim they help people.Oh by the way when I went back to get the LIST of alleged drugs that were allegedly in my system an older gentleman looked to be in his sixty's spoke up and said they did it to me a couple months ago. You be the judge, EVERYTHING I HAVE STATED HERE IS F A C T !!!! Please if there any other people out there This has happened to please stand up for your RIGHTS !!!! I treated with them for 4 years. I cannot say enough positive things about all of the staff here. All of my appointments were like going to see friends who were helping me with my back injury. They are caring, professional and always accommodating. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone that needs help. Writing this review on behalf of my Mom, Angie Montes. Office has an amazing staff! Always courteous and helpful. The doctors are amazing. They truly care about my well being and treatment. My concerns are always addressed and the doctors really listen to me and help figure out the best treatment plan. I live over 1 hour away and I do not mind the drive to receive the best care. I have always been an active person up until my accident that involved my knee. I love to ride dirt bikes and go hiking whenever I can. After the accident, my knee would swell up like a balloon whenever I engaged in any of these activities. I could barely walk, and after standing for long periods of time, it was hard to bend my knee to sit, actually it was horrible. After my MRI and X-rays, they determined the Cartledge behind my knee cap was chronically becoming inflamed. I denied the shot to the knee that Dr. Pifer recommended the first time just out of terror that the shot was gonna hurt like crazy. I came back later and he insisted that I get the shot. My life completely transformed after that shot to the knee. I have lost 30 pounds, am able to do all of the activities that I love again and best of all, my knee is no longer the first thing I'm thinking about whenever I go somewhere, actually I don't think about it at all. It literally used to ruin my life. I feel now I have a second chance at enjoying life with the help of Dr. Pifer. My quality of life is completely restored and I am steadily continuing to loose weight and am active and enjoying my hobbies everyday and feel the best I have in years. I refuse to go to anyone else, Pifer is the MAN!! Thank you so much Dr.Pifer. Anyone else if your sitting at home, miserable and don't know what to do because of knee pain or other ailments, do your self a favor and get your life back, make and apt with Dr. Pifer!!! read more
