This group (Ventura Orthopedics) of INCOMPETENT IMBECILES has got to be The Stupidest bunch of people out there, dealing w/ patients today! Unbelievable incompetence! After the agony of suffering tearing EVERYTIHNG POSSIBLE in my knee, I made the mistake of letting Community Memorial Healthcare (Ugh, the worst....) REFER me to a Dr. Mark Ghilarducci. (I lost count whatever JOKE this guy is in this story...), He comes in, does his perfunctory little routine, ending w/ "you're going to require a Full Reconstruction of the Right Knee....and we'll get you started on PT, and you'll f/u w/ me in a month or two!" My wife and I leave, thinking this guy's got it goin' on, and maybe we can stick w/ these guys? Nope. After scheduling two months worth of PT, the very next day one of their staff calls telling me that they no longer accept my insurance! Typical. America the "GRATE" sucks too. So I have to go back to my PCP. (A child that they gave a certificate to, but has to get an "okay" from anybody else before doing ANYTHING at all!). I have to wait for them to refer me to somebody else. It's all a waiting game. By the time I get another referral to another QUACK, and this idiot is worse than the first one... I could have driven to Tj and back and gotten healed already!!!!! Then V.O. Calls me back, telling me that the clinic doesn't accept my insurance, but Dr. G does, and he would like to continue w/ my treatment. Great. We make an appointment. We keep the appointment . Only to be told, by the Dr. himself, that they are no longer going to see/treat me, due to the insurance mess! Those of you who are dumb enough to even call this place, don't say you weren't warned. Ventura Orthopedics places PROFIT over people daily.

Sense my problem was a war wound from the Vietnam era, the VA was in charge of my treatment and when they started outsourcing some of their care so we would not have to drive to the valley or Los Angeles for treatment, I was lucky enough to be sent to this facility. I've been dealing with a lot of different pain and it's been a headache dealing with even the simplest of asks with the clinics. Even the hospital I usually attend didn't do my foot x-ray the proper way. I wanted them to try again and they sent me to Dr. Vines in another clinic. A proper scan was done. Initially, he referred me to the Hanger Clinic. That place should never make orthotics. A foam mold is not accurate, and I was given mixed messages. Get used to them over time? No thanks. It felt like walking on rocks. When I went back to Dr. Vines, he saw their mistakes right away. This is where I finally felt cared about by at least one doctor. He went out of his way to get me to his main office. He could have sent me back to have them remake their mistakes and call it a day. I'm finally getting the treatment I need and most importantly feel like I have a voice. At least with one health problem, I'm not just another number in the system to be waved off. He will probably never know just how much his kindness and words have meant to me in a really bad year. I am only knocking off a few stars for the odd cancellations during last winter from the front desk. I had to wait a month and repeatedly try to call without receiving a callback. I still have pain off and on in my heels and toe, but I have opted out of surgery for the time being since I want to focus on physical therapy as an alternative.
