Terribly unprofessional staff. I tried calling numerous times to let them know I was at the wrong address and they never answered. When I arrived I was not greeted or acknowledged. Then three female staff members we loudly arguing in an office. Loud enough to hear through a closed door. When I was seen I was informed they never called my insurance to get approval. They have a week to do this. Then it was explained to me that they could still see me, waive the $80 fee and later check my insurance. Like they're doing me a favor. At that point I asked to cancel my appointment. I can't believe how this office runs with such unprofessional staff!! read more

Worst place ever!!!! The Dr. promotes he will do Sports physicals walk in no appointment starting at 6:00 We came once a little past 6:00pm and they said the Dr. was gone. The girl that helped us out was nice and it's horrible the Dr. puts her in that situation We came back another day at 5:45 like the girl told us and the girls were not as nice. They said the Dr. was gone he had to leave early. Why would he commit to offer his services if he is not going to be professional and deliver his promotions. I would give 10 stars if i could! My girlfriend and I unfortunately got into a bad car accident a month ago and were referred here by a family member. Since coming here for treatment, everyone has been so helpful and sweet with us. Letty, Nancy and Janelle do so well with the clients, the girls are definitely part of the reason i actually look forward to my physical therapy days! Even Dr. Okada is so hilarious and fun-spirited. He always knows how to make his patients laugh, which i think is awesome of him :) It's so nice to know that even though something terrible has happened to you like a bad injury from a car crash, you can come to a place like this with an amazing, warm and welcoming staff to help you through it all. Hello Oxnardians, Just wanted to update my last review. I have had a very lot of stressful issues this year (Family & Friends) which caused me to develop painful nerves in my upper and lower back. WOW, I just received treatment from Dr. Okada and there ALL GONE! Obviously I still need several followup treatments so they don't come back but I feel fantastic, I have felt this way in years. Although I did not see Dr. Okada I'm extremely disappointed with the staff. I made an appointment for an initial visit for 11:00am. When I arrived at 1045 (15 min early) there was no one at the front desk/reception. After waiting a few minutes I had to go in the back and ask if anyone was there. A man came out and I had explained I had an 11:00am appointment. He in turned called a staff member and indicated I was here for an appointment and allowed me to talk to her. She said I did not have an appointment and there must have been a communication error. I had indicated to her there was not a communication error because I had spoken to the person making the appointment two separate times before confirming the appointment. I was offered an appointment the same day in the afternoon and the following day at 11:00 am. Needless to say the doctor was not in the office anyway. read more

I am writing this review from the perspective of a person who is deaf and disabled and to those people who are experiencing hearing issues. I went to this office twice. It was not a good fit for my disability. On my first visit it went okay. I did tell several of the people working there I have to read lips because I am deaf and they seemed willing to accommodate that, but on my second visit there were numerous patients they checked in to the treatment area and then one of the workers came back and just basically started loudly giving instructions to people. I stood up and told her this was not going to work with me or my disability. There would be no way I would be able to understand instructions, or details I needed to know or get the care I needed or anything like that it seemed based on this set up. Plus they were wearing masks again (as was I) so my ability to even know what to do was non-existent. The first person who was giving the directions to us 4 men who were sitting on treatment tables told me to talk to some other woman about my concerns and there was nothing really said to me to try to accommodate my disability or possible need for treatment. No one asked if I had concerns or questions or what my needs were. It was just strange to me. Fortunately my injury happened so long ago that it seemed to have healed on it's own anyway. But had gone in anyway because I thought maybe the treatment can or will be preventative for the future because I am getting older and try to stay on top of things like that. I was very disappointed by my experience of this practice as a disabled person who is deaf and on the spectrum. I don't think their office is really set up to accommodate patients with needs such as that, and that in my view is unfortunate because that is the location my HMO insurance referred me to. For the most part the office staff seemed pleasant enough but as far as working with me and my needs as a deaf and disabled person they didn't accommodate any of that and like I mentioned if you are deaf or disabled like me, I would seriously consider a different practice if you are able to do that. read more

I started the year in quite an unfortunate way , a car accident that left my car with significant damage &' body hurting real bad. I was recommended this clinic , not far from where I live , great atmosphere , friendly staff , &' charismatic doctor! I feel like I have been well taken care of , I see progress with less body ache&' enjoy appointments making recovery a lot less stressful. I have been coming to Doctor Okada since I was 4 years old..I have since been in 2 auto accidents and he has helped me with my recovery in so many ways ...I can not recommend him enough he is the best! 9/5/19 This is an update for Okada Chiropractic, my wife has had a really tough year, her and my daughter have been in 3 accidents this year. I am very optimistic about my migraine relief following my visit with Dr. Okada, Dr. Kim and their staff! I initially called to inquire about acupuncture since I had been experiencing weekly migraines that had become an ongoing migraine. I spoke to the office manager Jonelle who recommended that I should have a combination treatment done. I agreed and they were able to get me an appointment that day! Upon meeting Sonny Okada, I received x-rays, a chiropractic adjustment and massage. There may have been some heavy breathing, but that was because he was using enough "elbow grease" to release the extremely tenses muscles in my shoulders and neck! I thank him for that! It was by no means inappropriate! Immediately after I had ultrasound therapy on my neck and shoulders done by Christina. By the way, my two children age 8 and 2 were with me throughout the one and a half hours I spent in the office. They remained right outside the acupuncture room where I received my treatment. They were able to sit and watch Mickey Mouse and check in on me if need be. Dr. Kim is very thorough and a sweet man. He has extensive knowledge and experience and is genuinely interested in your wellbeing. Overall the office was professional, kid-friendly and caring. I am already feeling some relief from my chronic migraines and am so glad I came to see Okada Chiropractic Health Care for my care! Definitely going back! read more
