Honestly if you're visiting here and wanting to get a haircut, you'd be better off going to sports clips bc at least you're expecting it not to be decent. I walked in with about 5 inches in length and plenty of hair on the side. I asked for an inch off the top and a mid skin drop fade. I walked out with completely uneven top, majority of the top right side deleted, and a high skin fade undercut. This short stocky blob started high with the fade and completely cut off the right side of my top half that combs over. He was cutting my hair as if he was running late to an appointment. If you're willing to trial and error with different barbers, by all means. read more

I have had a difficult time finding a barber that will listen. The two I found and was happy with moved. When I came to the Spot Barbershop as a walk-in, I waited my turn. When I explained what I wanted to the first barber who attended me, he realized that it would require more scissor work. He specializes in using clippers and doing fades (and very good at it from what I saw). He explained that since scissor work was not his specialty I would get a more satisfactory job done by Grace if I was willing to wait for her. I was impressed that he would refer me to someone else to ensure I would receive what I needed. I did wait just a few more minutes for Grace who did an excellent job and gave me exactly what I wanted. My wife was very happy. I will be back. I sure hope Grace has no plans to move! This barbershop charges a little more than most others in town. The wait was pretty bad. We waited about 45 minutes. Another guy who was waiting just left cuz they were taking so long. Idk usually how long each haircut should take? But my child was next and we waited about 45 minutes. And the same clients were in their seats and I don't know how long they were there before we got there. That's pretty annoying. All in all we were here for almost 1.45 hours. My son was drained lol. Barbers here are good at what they do but maybe less talking more focusing on hair maybe they'd be a little quicker. This ain't no picnic lol. Maybe I'm being a bitch but waiting for a long ass time does get somebody cranky. They do provide good cuts though for my boys. I arrived this morning about 10:30. As Soon as I walked in someone was at the register, he asked if I had an appointment. I said "No". He then asked me to sign in. I did and took a seat. As I waited, three barbers finished with their clients, their seats became available. Not one of them acknowledged me, as I watched them drape aprons over their chairs, and then they went to the back of the room and started talking. As I continued to wait, one of the barbers began to sweep up, while the others went on talking. I was the only customer waiting, so I waited another 15mins, when another customer walked and was immediately called over to one of the chairs. I stood up, look at the barbers standing around, still got no acknowledgment, so I left. I understand if someone has an appointment, however, I find it highly unprofessional to call someone that just walked in to your chair, without recognizing that someone has been sitting there waiting. read more

I have been getting my haircut and beard trim at The Spot for almost a year now. In that time I have had the same barber perform each of my haircuts and beard trims, Grace. She has done a phenomenal job each and every time. I have a classic fade with a part on the right side. Grace is very detailed, takes her time and gets the cut done right. She is also very pleasant and friendly to converse with. I prefer to make an appointment, and am able to get in and out easily. From my observation, the barbers at The Spot know their craft, are friendly and helpful. Each person walking out looks sharp and detailed. Went yesterday to get a haircut for my son and after searching on Yelp I don't mind paying little more for quality work. So we arrived and was helped right away by this woman (forgot her name). Showed her the picture from Yelp one of the haircuts they done for another kid, with his hair parted and faded with line up. Overall she did good job with a nice fade and took her time. but I was so distracted my husband was waiting in the car with my crying toddler. I didn't noticed til we get home he didn't get his line up? The sharp clean lines that frame his face? Line ups so important to me it makes the haircut! $26+$7tip which is cool but I really want that line up I showed her.. now it's gonna bother me for another month read more

My boyfriend had been looking for a new barber for a while and at other places the haircut wasn't good or took too long. We came to The Spot because of the reviews and he decided he'd give it a shot. We were hesitant to go because the pictures on yelp didn't give us hope. However, when we walked in we were shocked. The Spot had a great modern, clean style & was not what we expected. We were greeted and asked if we had an appointment and if we didn't we could sign in and wait for his name to be called. We were only waiting for a few minutes before my boyfriends name was called. He was taken to a chair and (I assume) was asked what kind of hair cur he wanted. The lady who did his hair (I didn't catch her name) didn't talk as much as the other barbers but was polite and listened to what he wanted. While The Spot is a little more expensive than other places the quality is worth it. His total came out to $22 because we paid in card (would've been $20 in cash) not including tip. Only given 4 stars because it was a great first experience and we will be coming back for his next hair cut! :) read more

Bobby was my barber and did a fantastic job, was ultra attentive and did things for my haircut that I would normally have to tell other barbers to do. Great conversationalist, as well. We brought our toddler here for his first haircut. The wait was a little long but bearable (30 minutes). You could tell that all of the barbers had experience and were awesome at their job. There were times when some of them were a little unprofessional in the way they spoke or being on their phones, but it is a very laid back place..so it wasn't a huge deal to me. My toddler cried through most of the haircut but he had never experienced it and was scared, so that had nothing to do with the business. They did offer him a lollipop and were very patient with him, making sure they did an excellent job even with all his moving around and crying.
