Compared to the cramped, dirty, try-hard bars in El Centro, this place is a welcome change. To the best of my knowledge, it hasn't been around very long, but I really hope its here to stay. The place is spacious, clean and has sofas to lounge on. I was told they have live music on certain nights, but there wasn't any when I was there. The staff is super friendly, the bartender was attentive and wasn't stingy when it came to making drinks. We even ordered a pizza from the bar, which ended up being surprisingly excellent. The bottom line is, if you haven't been to this club yet, you should make it a point to do so. There is so little in the way of "nightlife" in El Centro, and this place really is like a hidden gem.

The bartender informed us that live music is showcased on Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays. We decided to return to Thursday Night Rock Show featuring HWY 111. We actually met vocalist Niki Bente in the elevator on our way to Twelve! She was very friendly and personable. Niki Bente also preforms with Twisted Gypsy whom we had the pleasure of seeing at the Rock Yard on Saturday night. Rocking Show!!! HWY 111 was very entertaining as I danced the night away! The place was lively, filled with people having a great time. It proved to be a wonderful experience! I thoroughly enjoyed two different specialty cocktails from the menu. No manager came, but the "head bartender" came over and we explained the situation to him. We watched, incredulously, as the staff immediately reset the table with fresh napkins and glassware. They were going to seat another party where we had just been bitten by a flurry of bugs! Instead of taking our word for it, that we had been bitten by bugs over the span of 15 minutes, the bartender challenged us. He ended up raising his voice at us and offered no help and instead made us feel like we had done something wrong. Shame on this restaurant. Shame on their customer service, and most definitely, shame on their lack of basic sanitary measures! The bartender then said that we can either pay for the two drinks that we had partially consumed, or not. As things were escalating in a very negative way, we simply stood up from the bar and left.
