I was in town visiting family and wanted to get out the house....actually, I wanted to go smoke hookah. Because this place was so close to where I was visiting and looked cool AND was rated highly on here, I was on my way. Right away I was greeted and seated by a hostess named Rosy (she was seriously fun and amazing the whole time). The layout and vibe of the place is so awesome. The DJ played good music, the crowd was chill, and best of all this place serves wine and beer (and food). However, this place gets 5 stars for the customer service. I ordered a brand/flavor I smoke at home on the regular so when I got my hookah, I was certain it didn't taste like what ordered. I let Rosy know and the owner came out to try it. Rosy agreed it didn't taste like gum mint and the owner graciously changed it out. From my experience at hookah bars, flavors can come out differently if the head isn't cleaned well, but the owner insisted they all are. He even brought out the box of shisha so I could see what they're using and yes, it was the exact one I have. After changing it out, it still wasn't right. He came back to check on me and I was honest in that it still didn't taste like gum mint, but I told him it was fine. He offered to swap it out yet again, but at this point I wasn't trying to be difficult. His whole staff and himself had been so nice and I didn't want to be "that customer." The next night I came back with my brother and the owner along with another waitress from the previous night remembered me and once again received excellent service. I have to add that prices are very reasonable for both hookah (if you like Al Fahkar) and drinks, but it's such an awesome place that the bill WILL add up. Whether you're looking for a chill lunch with friends or romantic date night, this is the spot for you! This was by far the best experience I've ever had at a hookah lounge, and that says a lot for someone who doesn't smoke! The food here caught me by surprise in the best way possible! Not only was I super satisfied with the selection on the menu, but everyone ordered something different and we basically got to see a showcase of menu items. The lowest scoring menu item to us was still a 5.5 which is solid. I would highly recommend coming here, especially with friends. They have good music playing and service for us was a 10 out of 10. I was helped by Brodie and Korey and when I tell you guys they took such good care of us I mean it! Brodie was our bartender, he took the time to perfect each drink & always made sure we were topped off with refills! Korey took care of absolutely everything we could have asked for! We made an impromptu stop in around 7:30. Initially, our service was great. She was attentive and accommodating. We ordered drinks and hookah. Then as it started to get busier the service suffered. It seemed like she was the only server for the entire place. We had to ask for our coals to be changed 3x while watch her replace others who were there hours after us, she spilled a drink on one of us and attempted to charge us for a drink we did not order. Update!!! Compared to the last time my service was absolutely terrible. It was a little after 12 midnight. Untrained bartender, struggled throughout I was solo, no group, just myself and I found a seat at the bar Waiting to be seated is pointless when they don't even come back to take your order They ran out of hookah (unequipped with enough supplies) I noticed that they could've sanitized ones were costumers have left. Bartender ignored the fact that a customer was in front of him, would not serve me. (Temporary fill-in bartender/management) Instead tried to get a waiter but she continued to carry a conversation with others for over 30 mins. Poor management skills, and communication. A hour has passed, at this point. The reason for my 2 stars is the bartender did not serve me. Actually had no problem serving a women who walked up to the bar and asked for two shots. This is not okay... At one point he stopped and walked off and came back with a drink for himself The owner was only serving friends and not his costumer's. The business has been giving us the runaround and claiming the owner is too busy to reverse the charges. It's incredibly frustrating to witness a business resorting to blatant theft. I like what they are doing here. Hookah bars have evolved into a night club and it is fun. The vibe and energy is good and folks will likely enjoy this place. Also clean!! That said, I'd like to see an improvement in bottle service - this is the first place I've been to where they don't pour/make your drink. Please do this, at least the for the first drink. This really spot really surprised me and my husband with how nice and clean it is especially for a hookah spot. We love that they have a full bar for our friends that aren't really hookah smokers but can still have a drink and enjoy. Love the ambiance and music was so good! Good music played all night and kept us wanting to dance lol. The service was great the servers were attentive . Ok so this was my first hookah experience, so I can only compare this to other late night bar experiences, not hookah itself. Visited the spot with a group of girls last sat night around 9 or 10pm (and stayed past midnight). When we walked it is was SO quiet. There technically was a dj, but it was soft chill music, where we were looking to party. Thankfully the dj honored our requests and put on some more booty shaking music (although the music def could have been louder.) Walking in at first there are a bunch of banquet style tables with table cloths (kinda weird- again not the vibe I was expecting), but there were couches in the back. The first L shaped couch we were seated at was super uncomfortable and awkward to sit and chat with everyone, but we were moved to a pair of leather couches which was way better. Our waitress was new and seemed a bit overwhelmed but overall she did a good job. She just didn't have any knowledge of the different hookah flavors- she really needs a cheat sheet on that. We ordered drinks and a hookah, but we were required to order multiple hookahs for our size table. Not really a fan of that policy- we wasted a lot of hookah, and we ordered plenty of drinks. At the end when it came to our bill our waitress asked us what we each ordered, which was a bit of a nightmare, and she had to put all the hookahs on one tab instead of divide it eventually between each of us. Overall I did have fun with my gal pals, and out of the 3 hookah flavors I tried one was delicious. The music playing better music at the end of the night saved the party. That's exactly what we found at the Spot and more. Narek who I believe must be the owner, took care of us and really made us feel at home. He explained the different hookah flavors and types of hookahs and he was constantly checking on everyone and bringing out new coals and drinks and food. The falafel and hummus was excellent! It's close to my new place so I figured I'd stop in for drinks. The first time, the hostess' attitude was bland, and that's putting it nicely. No smile, no welcome, no customer service. I didn't think much of it. I tried it again on the weekend and upon entry was met by the same hostess. No welcome in, no hello, just looked at us and immediately asked for ID. I was blown away. Easily the best hookah lounge in all of Jacksonville. Ive been to a couple in the city and usually still haven't smoked a good hookah until this place opened up. I mean you get an expensive glass hookah for the price of regular hookahs at other places. Everything is brand new and classy inside. You can order food and small bites, Wine, etc. The owner and staff is also super friendly and accommodating. Hard to beat this place. Very solid. Tons of seating and DJ's coming every week.
