While the intake and folks we met (Diane our social worker, sharolyn our nurse and Mike the Chaplin) were nice and seemed knowledgeable, the promises of care we would receive have been bitter. I'm giving 2 stars because the folks all seemed very sweet and caring, at first.. While my father was alive (he was in hospice 1 week and passed a week ago) the nurses were great, and present whenever we needing anything. They were great at calling back and very attentive, at the time. However, my father passed 8 days ago and not one call from anyone. The social worker said that counseling would be temporarily provided, yet we have yet to receive any calls from the nurses or social worker to check on things. Not one condolence. I wasn't quiet expecting this, as they seemed to care in the beginning. We are saddened by the lack of true empathy and care they seem to have for those left behind. As they are well aware to care for a dying loved one isn't a task for the weak of heart. It would have been helpful to have someone compassionate and caring to speak with this week as we try and live on without my father. Very disappointed

The home care nurses were very nice and professional, but when Bob went from the emergency room to a Hospice room, everything changed. The doctor was cold and never introduced herself or told me what she was doing with Bob. The nurses would bring in meds and say the doctor ordered them without even asking us if they were okay. At one point, my husband said, "this is hopeless". One CNA there, Shawna, was the only one who ever asked if I was hungry or thirsty. She brought me water, coffee and food. I was in shock. The chaplain came in and insisted on reading the Bible in a loud voice even thought I said twice that our priest had just been there. No one asked me about a chaplain. When Bob dies, a voice over the microphone asked me what funeral home I wanted to use. I had no idea. Finally I called our priest and he helped me. Then, I had to walk out of the hospital alone and when I got to my car, I just collapsed. I finally called a friend to come and get me because I could not drive home. Shawna gave me a hug when I left---everyone else just watched me leave. And no one has ever called me. I laughed when i saw their brochure and saw that they "offer bereavement groups for the family." And, please, don't bother calling me know.

There were 3 people who came in AFTER me and they got to them before me. I'm not one to usually complain or go out of my way but it's disappointing to drive all the way to whitefish out of my way because Kalispell is awful and still get the same treatment. My daughter was born in whitefish hospital and the care has always been so good up until now that's why we chose it. But it seems just like every other company in the valley it's all corporate and no longer entirely focused on patient care.

Oh my gosh what a nice place. Friendly, very caring and quick to get to the patient. It was my husband I had to bring in the emergency room and the staff made us feel good about treatment and after care. I really liked this hospital and the staff. Kudos to them all. Would never hesitate to have to return here for any medical care.

At my visit at Mindful Motion Physical Therapy, Kat examined me and then spent over an hour to educate me about the etiology of my problem and how to fix it through a series of exercises. I left my appt with three different rubber bands I needed to perform the exercises. For a full exam, over an hour of the physical therapist's time, and the rubber bands, she charged me only $60. Note: She does not take insurance. I was so impressed that I sent my husband there also due to his persistent back pain. His experience was similar. If anything, she spent even more time with him and also charged him just $60. I love the fact that we found out what was causing our persistent problems and received the tools (information and bands) to fix the problems. No expensive x-rays, no prescriptions for pain-killers or anti-inflammatory drugs. I am so impressed with her! If you like to be empowered to fix a problem instead of covering it up with meds, I highly recommend Mindful Motion. Kat is also has a very nice office in downtown Kalispell. The building is right behind Wheat Montana on Main Street, though the entrance is on 1st Avenue.
