I came here trying to find a coffee shop to do some work while I'm in the area. Overall very cute and clean, has lots of seating! They have some pastries but mostly drinks. They sell merchandise of various items such as shirts, cups, etc. I recommend checking it out if you're interested in a local coffee shop in the area and plus the service was great!

Good cup of coffee after not so good coffee at the hotel, just wish it came in a real cup that was the main reason I stopped in, I should have went with the cold brew. The muffin top was good but, the bottom was a bit overly moist for my taste. The barista was super friendly and her smile made it worth it, she easily talked me into the muffin with that smile!

While visiting family, needed a place to unwind, grab a tea and snack, and get in an hour's worth of work. This place hit all my points, and then some. The place is very welcoming, bright and clean, has a nice couch and other seating to relax. My English Breakfast tea and muffins each day were perfect, and expertly prepared by Matt. Matt is reason enough to come in here, extremely outgoing, personable and knowledgable. In the back is a meeting space and a large Christian library with hundreds of books to read. Must stop by and visit while in The Villages, and ask for Matt.

This place is a GEM! My sister and I always visit here when we visit my grandmother. The coffee is out of this world. Best expresso I've had in a while, so smoothe! We both chose limited time flavors that were delivious. She had a salted caramel and I had a butterscotch /white chocolate latte (with less pumps to make less sweet). The butterscotch was the favorite. We always see the owner in there making the drinks and he is so friendly and kind. He mentioned they have a Christian library in the back too which is super cool. You must try this place out if you are visiting!

I've been coming to The Villages for decades to visit my parents, and though The Villages appears to have everything, it was missing a good coffee shop. Well that is no longer the case, as now there is The Standard, and it's not just good, it's wonderful! The coffee it's self is smooth & bold, and unlike S*bucks it's neither bitter nor burnt tasting. There is also an offering of delicious looking pastry treats daily, along with packaged items such as trail mix, nuts, chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered nuts, and even healthy Epic bars. The staff is always smiling, friendly, conversational, & welcoming, and they make you feel like they enjoy being there and want you to enjoy being there too. The space is open, and comfortable. The front has a variety of table and chair options for both small and large groups. Then in the back there is a reading/meeting room. There is also outdoor seating available. The bathroom is large and clean. When I come to The Villages The Standard is my first stop, as it's a great "welcome to The Villages." Then when it's time to go leave, I make sure to grab my final cup of coffee from them for my drive home! My favorites are the chili mocha latte, regular latte, & matcha latte. The chili mocha has a really good spicy kick to it. The regular latte I like because I can really taste the flavor of the espresso as I don't add any sweetener or other flavors to it. Same with the matcha, as I don't add sweetener, the flavor of the matcha really comes through. The Standard is open Monday-Saturday 8am-4pm, closed on Sunday A MUST visit when in The Villages!

Been going here for years and it's still the best coffee I've ever had! Matthew, the owner, is very friendly and talkative and really does a good job at building a relationship with each and every customer, as does every member of the staff. The environment is super open and inviting with tables in the front to sit and enjoy your coffee and a library in the back that is fascinating. If you're in the area it is a MUST but just beware, it will forever raise your "standard" on what really makes a good coffee. ;)

A really cute coffee shop. More on the expensive side, but the drinks are good and the ambience makes up for it.

First Watch understood the assignment…read more Let's start with the Farmhouse Hash because wow. This is not your average "throw some potatoes in a bowl and call it brunch" situation. The potatoes had that perfect golden crisp, the eggs were cooked just right, and every bite somehow managed to be rich, savory, and balanced all at once. It is the kind of dish where you keep taking "one more bite" until suddenly it is gone and you are mildly offended about it. The Barbacoa Chilaquiles came in strong with bold flavor and just the right amount of attitude. Saucy, layered, and satisfying without turning into a soggy mess, which is honestly rare. The Elevated Egg Sandwich lived up to its name. Clean, fresh, and put together in a way that makes you feel like you made a responsible life choice while still enjoying it. Hardwood smoked bacon did what bacon should do. Crispy, flavorful, no complaints. And the Project Sunrise coffee was smooth, easy, and exactly what you want backing up a meal like this. Everything felt intentional, balanced, and actually worth the price. This is the kind of brunch that makes you forget all the mediocre ones. Five stars without hesitation. Just note the quality of food they use, and enjoy.
