Ms. Shay told her that the appointment Ms. Kaylee D. had was not the time she scheduled. She told her she could wait or reschedule. Neither was acceptable and she wanted a refund. I found JAI MARIE on Instagram, I booked her via her website. She did a virtual consultation, I sent her videos and photos of the current state of my hair and asked her if I'll need to add color correction to the service. She proceed to tell me no all I'll need is highlights all over to achieve to look that I want. She stated that I can ONLY purchase her hair from her website because she only work with their hair. She claimed the hair was RAW hair, day of service I arrived at the salon, she proceeded to tell me that she cannot achieve the look that I needed without color correcting my hair first. I said go ahead, she then said she cannot because she has a client right after me. She said she would test strand my hair to see how it takes with the color. NO TESTING was done! She slapped dark brown dye all over my hair without forming me. It wasn't until after the wash that I noticed my hair was completely DARK brown and I asked her what was the purpose she said "don't worry I will fix it " it's going to look good". She ensured me she could achieve the look that I wanted without color correction. While installing the microlinks, I noticed this was nowhere near my desired color from the photos. I asked to stop, when I turned around and saw the brassy yellow microlinks strands, I almost cried. At this point there was no going back. She again ensured me that the process was not finished and more will be done to achieve the desired look. I expressed my concerns about my hair, by the end of the process, (8 HOURS). The end product was a brassy yellow nightmare that I couldn't wake up from. I explain to her this was not vision nor was it what we spoke about. In order not to cause any problems, I paid and I left upset with the entire experience. I text her the next morning and explained to her how displeased I was. I ask her if I can get a refund for the bad coloring job $250 out of $557 I paid, not including $410 for the RAW extensions, which turned out to be falsely advertised hair. She told me will not refund any or portion of the services because she spent 8 hours in my hair. 8 hair hours of damaging the hair I purchased and my natural hair, 8 hours of anxiety, 8 hours of my confidence in all hair stylists. I tried reaching out to other salons to see if they could fix this mistake, everyone I reached out to said no expect for one salon. They did a consultation and during which they informed me the was not RAW like she claimed, the hair was over processed, and incorrect installation of the microlinks. So now I have no choice but to take them out. It's like I flushed $1000 down the toilet I am so traumatized and upset, tears are running down my face as I'm writing this review.
