This is the best/only place to get a decent meal with a reputable bar in town. Reasonably price with a great atmosphere.

My wife and I went there for the first time last night after hearing amazing things about this restaurant. We drove from Leesburg and it was very well worth the drive. My husband and I took my brother-in-law here last night. My sister raved about the place. Our experience there was terrible. My steak was cooked right but was cold when I got it. My husband steak was fair. My brother-in-law steak was terrible. He ordered mild well, he got rare. We sent it back. Instead of putting it back on the grill for a few minutes, they microwaved it to death. It came back tough, dry and tasteless. Plus I noticed everyone around us got rolls to nibble on. But we didn't. And they didn't give us a discount on our bill for the bad meal. Most places would have. I was so mad when I left. The Station is very good for lunch or supper. The supper menu will be higher priced, but the portions are also larger. This atmosphere is quiet and casual. The soups are always served perfectly warm, without being too hot. You do not have to wait several minutes for your soup to cool, but you also don't have to send it back to be reheated. First time for us. The side salad was tiny. The "So called Grouper" grilled was marginal at best. Appear to be some other type of fish! And didn't taste like it was grilled. (We lived on the gulf coast for years)...Also too much seasoning. The bread loaf and fried cheese grits were good. Not worth the money. read more

This is always a great place to eat in Americus. I usually eat a burger of the HOG Calzone. Their burgers are awesome and have a great grilled taste. They are closed on Mondays and it is expensive. Other than that its great. read more

This is a wonderful local establishment for lunch or dinner. They will get you in and out at lunch quickly, and they offer smaller portions from their dinner menu. Honestly, you can eat lunch here for about the same price as a fast food place like Zaxby's. The conductors crepes are my favorite, but the shrimp and grits are a close second. My husband orders the filet mignon almost every time we go, and he says it's always cooked perfectly. Do yourself a favor and trade out the regular salad for the sidecar salad. Spinach, boiled egg, wonton strips, and pecans with the best warm bacon dressing. Their regular salad is ok, but the sidecar salad is excellent. The kitchen closes at 9.....and it really closes at 9. They have made it happen before when we ordered at 8:52, but I recommend getting there a little earlier! I think the owners really have this restaurant thing down to a science, and I wouldn't change a thing. Love it! read more

Food was awesome. Service, eh. Don't get me wrong, it was fast. TOO FAST. I felt rushed and uncomfortable. Our server did not introduce herself and she didn't speak, she didn't say a word. Shuffled plates on and off the table, even removing my fork with my salad plate before I even finished the main course. Before asking if we would like dessert or another drink she bluntly asked if the ticket was separate or together. When obviously I was in the company of two teenage girls. I did then order another glass of wine, and felt as though the maître D was eyeing our table in hopes we would leave immediately. We were first asked if we had a reservation . After looking at the approximately 20 empty seats we said "no" and were told there would be about a 15 minute wait. In town on business and anyone that knows Americus knows you can't find a good place for dinner. Thanks to Yelp I did! I had the chef salad and potato soup. Soup is made in house! Dressing for the salad avocado ranch was great. Only complaint I would have is they were skimpy on the meat for a $9 salad. Paul was awesome on the phone and very friendly in person! Great mix of ingenuity and southern flare. My buddy and I went there for lunch and told the waitress: 1. We will never be here again. 2. What would you recommend? She pointed out the crepes and chicken breast with spinach sauce. Sides she recommended were: - Fried macaroni and cheese. - Fried cheese grits. So we ordered it all. The crepes were perfectly cooked with a great sauce. The chicken was slightly overcooked, but wasn't too noticeable. The chicken breast was great, still slightly overcooked, but nonetheless good. Overall it was a pleasant surprise as we went to Andersonville National Historic Site. The atmosphere was pretty laid back and had a nice casual southern business flare. I would have liked to have gone there for dinner because the bar section looked like fun and old school. Maybe in ten years from now I'll be back. In the end it was a good experience and I would recommend anybody to go there. read more

The food is always excellent. The restaurant is always clean. I'm sure their scores are high from the authorities. The wait staff needs a little more training but are responsive to you once you get their attention. So try the side car salad or the Hart salad for your side . They are both great. Station is a great spot for dinner. It's a casual atmosphere with staff giving the southern hospitality you'd expect in a small town in Georgia. The ribeye was delicious, and went well with a Shiner Bock (which I was surprised to find on the beer menu). A number of other regional beers from not only the south, but elsewhere (e.g. Yuengling from Pennsylvania), enhanced a bar menu that I expected to be rather milquetoast. The Station has good food, good drinks, and a good atmosphere. As a local, I would recommend making a reservation even if it's just an hours or so ahead of time just to ensure that you will have a table for your party. There is a section that allows smoking as well as a non-smoking section which are divided in a way to where it almost seems like they are different restaurants which appeases smokers and non-smokers alike. This place was recommended to me during a business trip to the area. The food is probably good, but they allow smoking at the bar, so when I discovered this, I chugged my beer and got the heck out of there. But the stench of smoke still managed to attach itself to my clothing and make my clothes smell like an ashtray. I had to take a shower after visiting this place for all of 10 minutes. It is 2016 for God's sake! I will not patronize a restaurant or bar that still allows smoking. It is absolutely disgusting, and if this is the best steakhouse in Americus, it is a shame. Ruby Tuesday may be a chain, but at least you could order a steak there without needing a shower after leaving the joint. read more

This restaurant delivers on the food. Steaks come out perfect every time. Pizza is the best in this small rural town. Service while good is almost too quick. Drink prices are high. Atmosphere is battleship gray and could really be spruced up to make dining more comfortable and entertaining. read more
