two beds in a hotel room

We were warned of our stay that it might be nosy because it's above a bar. However we gambled on it being a Sunday night and the bar closes at 10pm vs 2am. The location was convenient to walk around in but it is old (no stairs) but the room was remodeled. I'm sure if there were more hotel guests, it would be louder. I think we lucked out and it was a quiet night. Our room was #2 so it was split junior suite. Super warm at night. Free parking.

This is a lovely breakfast and lunch spot . Inside is a warm updated feel but simple . The servers were attentive and the prices reasonable at 11-13$ per entree . It is a great go to location in beautiful heart of Steveston.

Veggie omelette with the Polish sausage added to the plate and no toast.

It's been awhile since I came here for breakfast. The last time we sat down and left after not being served for about half an hour, so needless to say my review back then wouldn't have been so favourable. We came here today because it was a place my uncle and aunt liked to have breakfast. The veggie omelette was quite good. Just under ten dollars you get the omelette with deep fried potato nuggets and toast. I opted for no toast and ordered the Peruvian sausage which cost $5.50 for just one sausage made by D sausage hause nearby. It wasn't worth the price. I should have opted for the sausage links. The sausage I got was a bit dry. There was only two waitresses there on a busy Saturday morning. So service could be spotty trying to get coffee and stuff. Overall, I'll give them a decent 3 stars for serving good food, and decent service. If it was just for the omelette alone, I'd give them 4 stars.

Jacuzzi at the end of the bed. Yah Baby!!!

Unfortunately it wasn't executed well. Pork was under marinated, there was no tamarind taste, nor a hint of chili on it. What could have been a very tasty Thai dish turned out to be mediocre and disappointing. Presentation was nice and appealing though. Server is very nice and friendly. Ambiance is appealing. Nice to be on a sunny morning. Glass panels lets in bright sunshine making it a perfect brunch spot.

We were informed we could sit anywhere outside. By the pleasant server. We were given the menu and perused what we wanted. I ordered grandma's clam chowder which comes served in a sour dough bun hollowed out. I also ordered waffles with fried chicken. Wifey got the sweet and salty which was French toast with soft poached egg/hollandaise. The waffle I ordered also came with a soft poached egg/hollandaise. For beverages I got a regular coffee and wifey got a lavender latte. The plating was absolutely beautiful for the dishes. My first bite of the waffles and chicken was delightful. The chicken was moist and seasoned well and the waffle was nice and soft. There also was a salad on top which was dressed in a sweet dressing. That was standard as greens go. The clam chowder had a decent amount of large clams in it, the texture and creaminess was good. I did feel the base or soup stock used was a tad light for my liking as I wasn't catching the essence of clam chowder flavor. Other wise it was ok. But filling it you intend to eat the whole bun which I did cuz I love sourdough bread. Wife's french toast was lovely, I had a small taste and to me it was good. Nothing mind blowing but decently good. The hollandaise used to be tasted buttery and legit. The meal on a whole was very good and we love the patio seating. Would definitely come back again.

We arrived in time for our reservation but there was no one at the front. We waited for a few minutes for someone to notice we were there, and were immediately seated. It's a nice looking place - very classic whites, and feels like a fine dining restaurant. We decided to try the following: - Beef Carpaccio: Good. Maybe a bit light on the meat, as it was buried by the arugula and pickled shallots, so seemed unbalanced, but overall tasted great - Seafood Linguini: Mixed. Linguini was good. Scallops were really good and tender. Mussels were tiny. Red snapper was tough and dry. As a dish, it was OK, but could be better. Seafood is seasonal, so I'd think they would be better off rotating what seafood is used. - LuLu Island: OK. Same issue as the linguine. Prawns were fine. Mussels tiny. Red snapper wasn't enjoyable. Broth had flavour, but didn't come out very hot. Service was pleasant but slow. I only saw one server and one busser, so not enough staff to handle 6 or 7 tables they had. Starter came n reasonable time, but main dishes seemed to take over 20min. Took awhile to get our plates cleared, and probably 15+ minutes to get the bill. Overall, it was OK. Food was OK, but not special. Service was nice enough, but couldn't keep up with timing. Glad I got to try it, but not special enough to go back.

There was no lineup, so we were seated right away. The food was definitely on the salty side, which we couldn't enjoy much. My daughter ordered the kids menu which comes with sausages in curry and some cabbages. She had a few bites and refused to eat it. I had to sure my food with her. The sausage was really salty, not to mention dipping into curry which is also salty. I order the chicken cutlet curry with small size of rice. The rice was very tasty, apparently they only use Japanese rice. Chicken cutlet was nice and moist, however, the curry was pretty salty, typical Japanese style. The pork cutlet and fried shrimp were crunchy, pretty standard. The soap bottle in their bathroom is broken, and I'm not sure why they won't change it right away, and the dispenser part no longer exists. It's pretty hard to use, same as the motion detected faucet, is not set up properly. I personally wouldn't go back, however, if you are accustomed the Japanese curry taste, this might be the place to visit.
