My dad had the vegetable quesadilla which was completely burnt and smothered in oil. I had a small café latte which was good, but my overall experience was negative and I would not go back! The seating was very aesthetically pleasing and I liked the layout, however the couched were super uncomfortable and the table was low so it was difficult to eat. This place is generally packed all the time which may be a good or bad thing to some. The parking lot is shared so it's like playing musical cars during peak hours. I went here on a Saturday evening to study and the place was pretty packed. The cafe offers ample seating, wall outlets, food, and drink options. I wanted a smoothie, but their smoothie machine was not working at the time so I opted for the iced quench tea instead, which honestly had hardly any flavor. I ordered a chai latte and it was a bit underwhelming. I prefer a chai latte with a strong aromatic punch of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and clove spices that this chai latte lacked. Instead, it tasted like tea watered down with frothy milk. Service was fast and efficient. The ambiance of the cafe was really nice and modern. There was plenty of seating available and free wifi. Parking on the plaza can be a bit challenging as it is a very busy plaza. I had to drive a couple laps to find a parking spot. read more

I am shocked at the rating because I had a wonderful experience here! We came around 12:30 and the place was packed! The place is uber cute and offers a lot of seats (including a mix of comfortable couches, high top community seats, and tables). They menu is extensive and majority of the food is made in house. They were prepping their salads and the food smelled phenomenal! I ordered the Kale Caesar Salad (Plant-based and dairy friendly. Kale, garlic roasted chickpeas, croutons) and their soup of the day (tomato basil). The salad had a great flavor and huge portion. The kale was perfectly soft with a good amount of dressing. The soup was delicious! The perfect amount of basil and the flavors were spot on! My friend got the Roasted Sweet Potato & Beet Salad and the Paneer Tikka Wrap Sandwich (the wrap was ridiculously flavorful). I was lucky to try and and I would absolutely order it again! We finished the meal with their Peanut Butter Chocolate Seed Bar which was very fresh and healthyish tasting. I 100% will come back! read more

Not bad at all as the whole plaza where its located has some serious businesses like service canada , notary public offices around.lol I have visited this plaza on many occasions and the cafe would be closed so thats how i know that the hours of this cafe are limited but to my surprise its open from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm almost every weekday and weekends until 9:30 pm. Maybe changed recently or it's temporary because of corona virus. I don't know. All i know is that they have yummy food. Few choices of lunch or dinner like salads, wraps,bowls but unique to its core. Very much everything is house made. I loved the currey chicken coconut bowl which i could customized with either quinoa or brown rice. Very light taste of turmeric but didn't feel coconut milk or taste in it. Even otherwise it was yummy fragrant with turmeric. They even have fresh grinder to grind the coffee for you. The retail of this store also have store swag or store labeled items like water bottles, tea mugs , t shirts and caps to purchase. The seating is comfortable as there are big lounge chairs to sit. Inside is beautiful, very simplistic and lots of little decorations. I got a smoothie which was expensive for the size but was good. I got the coconut turmeric chicken bowl which was beautifully presented and very yummy. Lots of flavour, would recommend. My friend got an iced vanilla latte and said it is really good but also a bit expensive. Chipotle chicken wrap is good but might be a little boring if she did not add avocado. Overall good experience, no one in the cafe seeemed that excited or happy to be there but it's ok I brought my own positive vibes. I came here to study and I found that the cafe is too loud; not because of the people talking but the music is louder than expected in a cafe. I have my noise cancelling headphones on and I can still hear the music. In addition, it is ridiculously cold in the cafe. My hands are numb that it effects my concentration in studying. I ordered a matcha latte and it was made exceptionally. The only thing is that because it is so cold in the cafe my drink was cold after 10 minutes of it sitting there. This place is seriously a gem in this area. It's a very cool cafe with lots of delicious breakfast and lunch options. Plus bonus points for the study/work friendly and bright environment. I could literally spend my entire day working and eating here. I'm so in love with their bowls and salads. They are healthy, not greasy, and combination options are endless with the protein add-ons and different sauces. All of their sauces are homemade. I also really like the hot sauces on the side. My one complaint is that portions could be slightly bigger especially for the salads and sandwiches. The price doesn't justify the portion size. Also you can add a soup to a sandwich for $2.99 but if you wanted to get the same side soup along a full salad then it's $3.99. I hope they change that cause it doesn't make sense. All I want would be a better priced soup-salad combo. read more

As soon as I walked in, I wanted to give this place 5 stars, as their decor was so simple and comforting. However, my experience changed my mind. I really wanted to support this local business, especially since it is rare to find any cute cafes to hit up in Surrey... but a lot of things disappointed me. She did not smile at us at all, and she did not give out a good vibe, which is the opposite of what I expect from someone working in a cafe. I don't mean to sound harsh, but baristas are usually very friendly at other cafes I've been to. Anyways, yes the decor is pretty and they have a variety of menu items. However, the menu items are not really fairly priced. We paid about 30 dollars for a chicken quesadilla, a chicken sandwich, and an oatmeal cocoa smoothie. It took a while for the food to come out. All the items we ordered were delicious. The food was piping hot, which I really appreciated. The flavours were all also very good. The guacamole that came with the quesadilla was just alright - needed salt. The chicken sandwich came on fresh sour dough bread, which is what made the sandwich so great. I was very disappointed with the portion sizes. The quesadilla barley had anything in it, and I probably could have eaten two of those chicken sandwiches on my own. It's definitely not a "bang for your buck" kind of place. They need to consider reducing their prices or increasing the portion sizes. They also lacked in plating their menu items. The sandwich came on an ENORMOUS plate - made the sandwich seem even smaller than it really was. I was also expecting the cafe to be more clean, considering how new it is. However, there were a lot of flies in the open kitchen as well as dust and food residue left on tables. I was quite disappointed with the owners' lack of cleanliness, especially considering we went on a weekend and it was completely dead. Super in love with this cute+fresh coffeehouse in Surrey. I was in the area and figured I could do some work if there was a decent coffeehouse around and voila! The interior design is on point, the space has a ton of natural light, decent amount of space and I love how they really maximized on each square footage. You've got a comfy seating area in the from and the back and sandwiched in between you have a high bar-top and then a pod of tables great for opening up your laptop for studying or work. Also, the baked goods and pasteries displayed are super appealing and the food menu is also very attractive. They use all the right buzzwords that pique your interest and make you want to try everything! I had the couscous salad with a citrus dressing and a side order of the soup of the day (corn and jalapeno). Everything tasted fresh & clean and made with intention and care. Even the way the walnuts were perfectly and evenly seasoned and placed on the plate...it all made sense and made me so very happy. I will note that some people might order what I did and think it's a little under-seasoned, but as a person who appreciates food in its fresh state, I had no complaints. You want to add stronger seasoning you can add condiments from their condiment bar or ask for salt. I'm super pleased I found this coffeehouse and definitely want to come back often! read more

Good chill atmosphere, wraps were delicious and coffee is solid. Had the rice and vegetable wrap and it was fresh, hearty, tasty and a decent size. Price is reasonable for what you get. GF had the chipotle chicken wrap and while similar to mine, was different enough (more than just added chicken) that it had its own unique flavor. Added the hot sauce and BAM game changer!! This café has been on my list for such a long time and I've finally got the chance to try this place out. My tester at a café is always an Americano. freshly made with a side of espresso. Of course it was amazing. No burnt taste or odd after taste. I was pleasantly surprised. of course I would be hungry so I had to try their roast beef sandwich. My favorite part about the sandwich was that the beef had texture and wasted all mushy or gummy like other places. Good coffee and nice flavours on the food... nice menu and healthy choices, portions a bit too small based on the prices... I enjoyed what I had, but most of the seating was young people studying course work or hanging out on laptops and phones. Not sure how they make money--good food, but 1/4 of the seating space is for meals (revenue generating), but of that, even the restaurant seating was full of people using electronics and not buying anything. The rest of the seating is folks using someone else's internet for next to nothing. I didn't see one person parked on a computer/ phone buy one thing.... not once. We spent $30 on a meal and coffee, and most folks sat with only a few bucks spent perhaps when they arrived. Shame, the food and coffee are good, but they dont 't have the foot traffic of a Starbucks to generate line ups for coffee.... I don't know why I found the leeching of someone's revenue so upsetting. We had chicken tacos (Taco Fridays), bacon breakfast wrap, grilled cheese and cinnamon sugar waffles. All fantastic, breakfast wrap had oven dried tomatoes, a delicious edition. It would be elevated with some arugula or greens added inside, but none the less very very good. Grilled cheese for the kids (it is absolutely massive) was yummy. Waffles were really good, highly recommended. And tacos were fresh and delicious. Make sure you sample their 3 homemade hot sauces! Okay, food is good. But more importantly, coffee is also top notch. First time trying this place. I got ice vanilla latte, it was different maybe since it was organic $6 for a cup which I could get at Starbucks for a bigger size. I also ordered a macaroon, kinda pricey for such a small size $2.25. I did not like the macaroon it was very stale/hard seems like it was from yesterday, not fresh. I ordered from this cafe via the skipthedishes app. Since they're a cafe with vegetarian/vegan options, I assumed they knew how to be accommodating of special requests. I ordered one of their turmeric potato and cauliflower bowls as well as their chicken taco salad. To my disappointment, I realized after I got my order that the menu does not disclose ALL of the ingredients that go onto the food. When I got my order, there was unspecified white sauce on the chicken taco salad (probably a kind of mayonnaise or dairy based sauce), and although I had asked for no crushed tortillas, there they were. I had to throw it out. It's really irresponsible for any food place, but specifically one that caters to certain dietary concerns, to fail to disclose every main ingredient that will go onto the food. Finally made a point to try this place out. It was ok. Nice decor but lacking in the food/coffee served. Too bad BC it seems to have great potential. Ordered a Bailey's Coffee and Americano both were weak coffee, and with barely discernable taste Bailey's. Maple Cheesecake though decent due to the walnuts, was not as you'd expect. Barely discernable Maple flavour, and texture wise was more like a mousse, flopping over in whipcream fashion. Atmosphere reminds me of Boulevard Coffee in UBC, more hip and pretty in aesthetics, but the coffee lacks much to be desired. Having been a Vancouverite brought up with tons of cafe eateries with great coffee and food pairings, this one misses the bar. read more
