I gotta say from the outside this place always gives off a bit of a sketch vibe (to me)...BUT it magically transforms once you walk inside. Really! This is our second time here and I have been equally impressed both times. Ambiance is modern. Service has been top notch both times. Looking around everyone employed had smiles on their faces and genuinely looked to be having a good day. The drinks here are not weak, by any means. They know how to pour a drink :) The list to choose from is quite big and also creative. Let's talk about food...specifically the fried pickles. Bomb dot com you guys. Not dinky little fried pickle chips. Oh no. Not here y'all. Here, you get giant breaded pickle SPEARS. That really just sets the tone for the quality of food you are going to get. After a 10 hour drive, we were tired and hungry, so after checking in at the connected hotel we were happy to find a restaurant on the premises. We walked in and after a few minutes decided to leave as the live music was so loud everyone was shouting just to be heard across their tables. This place is amazing. The food, drinks, and ambiance were great - but what made this my favorite spot during our trip was the incredible staff. They made us feel like regulars after just one night. The Chi-Town and Chicken Alfredo pizza's were delicious and wings with sweet chili sauce were phenomenal. They had a different type of soup every day and I enjoyed it every time I ordered. This place has totally turned around. I. Previous trips to "the broadway" the staff was great the the food was delicious but they had carpet and blood red walls. We hadn't come to the Still Room just since we haven't heard the greatest things about the hotel it's connected to, but we are SO glad we did eat and drink here because it was by far one of the best meals we've had in Missoula. The burgers were on point and so were the cocktails. To get "quality" food in town you have to go to Plonk or somewhere else that's $$$$ but the Still Room exceeded expectations and we were impressed. We consider ourselves judgmental when it comes to food, and I don't leave reviews often, but this place deserves a good one. Lastly, they are one of the few restaurants we've been to that really are on their game with COVID measures. And the atmosphere was still great! PS - re: older reviews, we didn't smell any cigarettes or urinals. And the service gets an A+. read more

The service so always pretty terrible. You have to wait forever between drinks, and when you want to leave expect to wait another 30-45 minutes to get your check and have it processed. On multiple occasions they've messed up on what to charge. The hamburger was dry and the fries looked as though they scraped the bottom of the fryer basket. I asked for ketchup and received 3 tiny packets which exposed me to more germs than any bottle would. I really needed about a pint of ketchup. I choked down the burger and half of the fries. I should have refused the meal and left but I was hungry and tired. Not only did we wait 20 mins for our drink, and another 45 for our meals. But our server NEVER checked on our table. We waited for drinks to be refilled, we had to walk up to the bar any time we needed anything. Once our food did arrive, we couldn't even eat it. The nachos were so spicy, and the waiter had zero regard. We threw $13 nachos away with out eating them. There's is only one reason I am giving 4 stars. This is a bit of a story so bare with me. The first time we came there were about 8 of us, and it was our friends birthday. Our waitress, simply amazing. It was actually her day off and she had been called in. For 8 people she was attentive and on it. There was a mistake in the order and she comped it. We paid out and decided it was time for shots and pool. Our 2nd time around there 9 of us and we received the same amazing waitress. She was on it. The service amazing. Her attitude stellar. Again pool time and even more shots. And then sadly we came in for our 3rd time. Our normal waitress was working. But we got a petite blonde..... this time there were only 6 of us. She got our first round of drinks somewhat quick. After that everything became super blah. She skipped our table multiple times. People who arrived after us got their food first. The 2nd and 3rd round of drinks kind of took awhile. We were playing Trivia so it was ok. She made a mistake on the beers and said it was comped. So no worries right? Wrong. Check time. So she said she had to cash us all out at once. We said ok bring us the bill. First thing we noticed was a service charge. She said because there were 6 of us. Weirdly though after having 8 and 9 people previously we never got charged for this. Then I look at the beers. She charged us for the comped beer. I bring it to her attention and to the surprise of the table she said since we drank it she had to charge us anyway. Let's just say your meager 22 dollar service charge could of ended up in 50 dollars in tips with pool time, more shots and more tips. To the owner, know the only reason we will be back is because of Kae. She is a hard amazing worker who deserves some lime light. As for Amanda, our other waitress..... terrible. The food is great. Wonderful burgers and solid pizza. However, the service is about the worst in town. If it is mildly busy, expect at least an hour to get your food and forget trying to get more than one drink. If you are eating with friends, you better bring cash, because the servers cannot split tabs even if everyone ordered the exact same thing. Finally, if you do order a pizza, you will need to specifically ask for plates, because they will just bring you a pizza on a scalding hot platter and expect you to eat it off of that. I want to love this place because of the atmosphere, convenient location, and great food, but the service needs a complete overhaul before I eat here again. read more
