Not good. Wouldn't come here. It looked busy and it was, but the food was no bueno. The sprouts literally tasted sour and raw. Dissapointing to say the least. This is a great place to hang out with friends and enjoy food and drinks. Staff is friendly and attentive to people which is hard to find. Great selection of food pizzas, burgers, salads, and nachos. They have a full bar with a good selection of craft beers, ciders and wine. During the summer they have 2 outdoor areas for sitting or playing some corn hole bag tossing. read more

We have been coming here since they opened, and used to love the place. We supported them during covid and ordered take out, all the time. We were excited when they got pizza ovens, and enjoyed the pizza. We have enjoyed the new outdoor space and the remodeled indoor space. The problem is that the food has consistently gone down hill. The smash burger used to be amazing, now it is just a normal burger on a cheap bun. The Florence dip is now just "meh". The pizzas are burnt and unevenly cooked. It is such a bummer, as we really enjoyed going there for years. We started going elsewhere for a good burger, but that place is now owned by the same owners and I fear it is heading in the same direction. We decided to give it another try with friends and we all walked away disappointed. read more

Very good food. I had the chicken bacon ranch pity and my husband got the basic burger. He pulled off all the "rabbit food" (spring lettuce and spinach) the burger was cooked to perfection and the flavor was "spot on"! My pita was so full I ate it with a fork. Left the pita behind. We both had the spuds! Amazing flavors. Red potatoes with olive oil and rosemary.YUM! You seat yourself then walk up to the counter to order. They bring the food out when it's ready. I would definitely come again to try another item. It was a steady trickle of people that made it easy to get a seat. Can't go wrong eating here. 2 thumbs up. read more

This is a great local place to grab a drink and some good food. The place is decorated in the typical Montana style which I personally love. They definitely paid attention to detail when designing the inside of the restaurant. It has a very casual atmosphere and you seat yourself upon entering. Menus are on each table and when you are ready to order you order up at the counter. Each table has a number on it and your food and drinks are brought out to your table when ready. The food is pretty good, and my only complaint is that the portion sizes are on the smaller side for the price you pay. The burgers are DELICIOUS and are made with locally raised oxbow grass-fed beef. Did I mention how delicious they are? The beef patties are thick, juicy, and bursting with flavor but the bun they come on is small in size. Burgers are my love language so I probably would have given them 5 stars if they were bigger. They don't serve French fries here so your options are potato or corn chips or a salad as your side. Burgers and fries go together like peanut butter and jelly so if you are expecting fries, then this is not your place. The staff is friendly and helpful and are always willing to give you recommendations on beer if you are not familiar with the Montana beers they have on tap. I have yet to have one of their mixed cocktails but the Montana Sunrise drink on their menu is at the top of my list! read more

This place has been predictably good up until a recent visit. We started w/ grilled Brussels Sprouts that came out like chopped cabbage vs. slicing each one in half or qtr's. and they didn't use any Balsamic (they must have forgot, thus flavor was MIA). Next as to the beers we typical get the Vanilla Porter which they said "we no longer carry" so they sold us on something equivalent which was a Plisner type with vanilla flavoring, again far from enjoyable vs the Porter thus both items went unfinished. Next was the mains: I had a cesar chicken wrap (again in the past a great choice) which had a TON of dressing inside it to the point to flowed out (way too much) and the GF had a mushroom burger with little flavor and came with red potatoes cuts as a side as they said they dont make or wont make fries?! The side again had no flavor. (a burger place and no fries, interesting) All I can say is maybe theirs been a change in the kitchen but wont be going back till we see some updates. PS Staff is great but unfortunately the food/kit is out of there control. read more

Ok, the choices in the area are limited, but even if there were 50 other restaurants nearby, I would still come back to Backyard Tap Room! The service is amazingly friendly and the food and beer selection is great. We had the nachos with steak - very good and steak was tender and flavorful. The mac & cheese scoops and sprouts were really tasty and the burgers were outstanding. I had the Smash Burger and the beef was the star here - cooked perfectly and really tasty. If you're anywhere near Florence and hungry, this is the place to go - 5 stars all the way!!! read more

Omg; if I could give this place more then 5 stars i would! The food is amazing; the staff are super Friendly, and you get the amazing food pretty quickly! They also have amazing drinks and they have themed days/night.. like a day for parents with toddlers to come there and meet other parents for toddlers, and also bingo night and cornhole tournaments! You're still in the middle of renovating, but so far what I've seen of the inside is absolutely amazing and it makes you feel very comfortable, while still feeling Like it's more upscale too. I definitely recommend anyone passing by or not that far to try this place! read more

Heard good things, so we decided to stop in 1/18 & enjoyed a great experience. 13+ breweries available. I had the Blacksmith Blonde & my husband had a Mexican Lager. We shared the steak nachos. Went there with my honey last week. The ambience was great, food was fantastic and drinks were perfect. We were both disappointed it took no less than 55 minutes to receive our dinner order which was only a burger and nachos. Our waitress apologized but in my experience, when it takes that long there should be a free round of drinks offered or maybe a percentage off the bill. That didn't happen. We'll come back but maybe we'll plan on a three hour outing just to be safe. read more

My family and I have tried this place multiple times, as there are few choices in our area. If you want to be severely underwhelmed, you have found the place. The food is ok at best, depending on when you go and way over priced for what your getting. The atmosphere is as cold as the service. If I wanted to stand in line for my food, I would go to McDonald's. If you want to know who the regular bar hounds are, just look at who's getting real service. Trust me, it's obvious. We have never felt less welcome in a restaurant. If scowling and ignoring customers were a sport, I would give these women the gold.....particularly the older woman. We waited 45 minutes for our "appetizer" and my husband's meal to come out, only to wait another 10 for my meal. All of the food was noticeably cold. We tried to be understanding although it wasn't a terribly busy week day, but the staff's "can't be bothered" attitude was hard to miss... which was especially frustrating as we had to tip when paying for the food ahead of time, and we gave a 20% tip and then felt completely ignored for an hour. You seat yourself and order at the counter.
