I'm sorry, you could've told us before we dropped our dog off that you had an infestation? This is incredibly unprofessional and overall disturbing that you wouldn't notify me just so I you wouldn't lose money. My husband and I are now covered in bites, and my poor dog is so uncomfortable. She then let it slip she had 2 dogs scheduled ahead of us with a pickup time for 1. So she gave our appointment away, basically. I offered to wait because she said it would be 2 before she could be done. She said I would need to reschedule so she didn't rush my puppies through their appointment! I get their food through an auto ship and they keep raising their prices. In one month, they raised their prices over $30 a bag AND decreased the size of their bags from 35 lbs to 30 lbs a bag. Last week I changed my auto ship because they had dropped their prices $37 a bag. Today, I got a notice that I was getting my auto ship, that I couldn't cancel it, and that they had raised their prices over $30 a bag again. I don't know what's going on with them but that's pretty messed up. They SAY the price increase is due to shipping but there is a Royal Canin plant 40 minutes from my house. It's not like they are shipping it across country. I could go pick it up myself for the cost of 4 gallons of gas.

Avoid Petco Cookeville grooming…read more Abysmal customer service. Made an appointment in advance for my two labradoodles. Followed Petco rules, including forms with vaccination records. Records came from our kennel, which has the vets' records on file. Two weeks later, when I arrived for my appointment, groomer would not accept my records. We were able to contact our vet up north for one dog, but the vet for the other (in Crossville) was closed on Saturday. I asked the groomer to call the kennel so they could send a photo of the other's record, but she refused. It had to be from a vet. When I told her the record is the same one the vet issued, she said that did not matter. The record must be from a vet. When I said that is not what the online registration form said, she said that did not matter. When I asked her to look it up, she raised her voice and said it did not matter. The discussion became a little heated and she refused to groom the pet. The manager, Seth, said it did not matter what the registration form says, that is their policy. I contacted the kennel, and they were willing to text a photo of the vaccine record, but groomer and manager said no. If they want a specific document, they should request it. Two weeks - and an hour drive from Crossville - all wasted.

I called to tell them and all they told me was that they do 500 dogs a week and only one out of every 500 has this happen. I was also told that my dog had crusted poop on his bottom, which is completely untrue and that's why the groomer had to shave so closely. My dog sleeps next to me so there's definitely no poop. They made everything out to be my fault and they took zero responsibility. I had to purchase a soft E-collar and antiseptic medicine to care for him - another $84. So overall, this grooming experience cost me over $400.
