So, I needed 2 pair of pants hemmed and I've been putting it off forever. I shoved them in the back of my closet, and it was finally time to get them taken care of. (primarily because I needed them, so that was a motivating factor.) I was recommended to try this place out from my local dry cleaners, and boy, was this a great recommendation! For starters, they have really awesome hours. Their open Monday through Friday 10 am until 7 PM, and Saturdays from 10-6. They also don't require an appointment, which I loved! I was able to swing in here on my way home from work which was easy and convenient. It's located inside the Vince and Joe's shopping center next to Hamlin Pub, so it's relatively easy to find. Walking in, the lobby area is wonderfully decorated and clean. One of the nicest lobbies I think I've ever seen for a tailor/seamstress shop. There were two girls working here and both seemed to know what they were doing One of them had my try my pants on and she made the necessary adjustments to make my pants fit correctly. Surprisingly, they only needed a few days to get my pants done. I dropped them off on a Friday night and I got a text Monday morning saying they were ready? that's a quick turn around. Their prices are competitive, and it's $14 a pair for hemming. Since I had two pair, that's $28. Not to shabby. The other places were charging $15, and some even quoted me up to $20 a pair of pants? UM NO. Overall I was really impressed with the service and overall experience here. While its not close to home, it's easy to find, has great hours and they do good work for alterations. Also, the gal waiting on me said that they were under new ownership. I don't know how long ago that happened, but that's good to know. The reason I found out was because when I checked in here on Yelp, there was a 20% off coupon for first time check ins. She was confused about it and told me the check in was probably from the previous owners. I really loved my time here and their a good place. Will be returning in the future.

I'm very pleased with the amazing customer service we received! My daughter ordered a dress online and unfortunately it arrived a day before our event. The slit on the dress was extremely high and the dress needed to be hemmed. We called with the emergent situation and they were extremely kind and understanding. My daughter rushed there immediately per their request and they performed their magic. They cut off material from the bottom of the dress from the hem and we're able to add 4 inches of material to the slit. We were amazed how quickly they transformed the dress to perfection. The quality of workmanship, reasonable cost, and superb customer service will keep us going back for all our tailoring needs. We are extremely grateful!

Altered a couple evening gowns and made some changes to one for us. They looked great and price was very reasonable.

Very personable, friendly and professional, with reasonable rates. He seems to know how to fix any machine you can bring to him. I have a ~40 year old Pfaff 1215 that I use to make big kites and the foot pedal had died. As well, the machine was struggling with some of the 3 and 4 layer heavy nylon sewing that I do which I have to use heavy duty upholstery thread for which really works the machine hard. Victor took a hold of that thing and in just a few minutes figured out how he could set me up with a working foot petal (a factory replacement would have been $80) and also do a complete reconditioning (which usually runs $100) - both for $150. Victor is very knowledgeable about the inner workings and construction of the sewing machines he services and I can vouch he carries on the tradition of his father's commitment to good service. Nice job VIctor, and thanks again. My machine runs great! Todd Vest bzzh8c@hotmail.com

The owner may possibly be a skilled seamstress, but I will never support her business and I plan to spread the word. Go somewhere else to avoid her total lack of common sense lest you ask the wrong question and experience her fury. So sorry I ever ventured into her store. I had two lined winter blazers that I've never worn b/c they were too long, so I wanted to price the work and determine if it was worth the cost to have them hemmed. I left the jackets and decided to call a couple other places for cost comparison, and I did call Pat to ask if she could come down a bit in the price. She said no and that hers was a fair price. That was okay because I totally agree with paying small business a fair wage and do not have a problem giving workers what they're worth. Just because I asked the question and kindly attempted to negotiate a bit with her, she rudely told me that she will not complete the work even though I kept trying to tell her to just go ahead with the price quoted (she wouldn't listen) and then she just abruptly hung up. She was so outraged and insulted that I would even pose the question that she didn't take a breath to realize that I was trying to say the price is okay and to go ahead with the alterations. Before arriving at the store to pick up my clothing, I decided to be gracious and forget about our previous phone call and forgive her poor behavior, but she decided to be rude again and tell me that I had the audacity to call her and ask her to negotiate the price. She obviously doesn't understand that it's okay to ask for a better price. It's her prerogative to say no thank you and let the customer decide if that's reasonable. I did not pressure her in any way, but her behavior showed her lack of professionalism and human decency to a customer. She's a rude and disrespectful person. Please do not support a business who treats others this way.
