I had a long distance move and had to downsize. Ely was there every step of the way for me. The young men that packed and moved my things were all incredibly hard working, polite and willing to go the extra mile for me. Everything arrived in great shape and arranged as I wanted. I just can't thank this group enough. They were wonderful and I highly recommend them. It was a stress free move and actually fun to talk to all these hard workers.

I was frustrated that the owner/spokesperson Ely insisted I needed two 26-foot trucks and a five person team to move out of a 1096 sq ft space into a 784 sq ft home. Ely stressed me out for an entire week while I agreed I would probably need one full size truck, I was giving a lot away before moving (which I explained) and two large trucks would be overkill. The move ended up needing half of one 26 foot truck. Afterwards, I get no acknowledgement or apology from Ely on his mis-diagnosis. he had me stressed for days on the cost of my move. I am sure I paid for the extra large truck they needed to fill with gas and drag around the entire move. At this point, I'm just glad it's over.

I called PODS to move from Texas to Maine. The sales agent assured me that they would deliver my…read morePOD to my new residence between Bangor and Augusta. The delivery of the empty pod to pack was great but when I called them with address for delivery, the nightmare began. I called on Sunday with delivery address and agent says computer won't take address call back Monday. Monday, spent 3 calls, first two disconnected while on hold, last one over an hour and 15 mins. She assured me all good and someone would call me Monday or Tuesday. At end of Tuesday no call so I check email. She had just sent an email saying she was sending my POD to New Hampshire. I frantically call and next guy stopped it from going to New Hampshire but could not get the computer to take my address. So he said he put Bangor in and it worked. I pull up documents from PODS account and address says Portland ME... Another 2 phone calls, same story. Today, I finally asked for supervisor and turns out they were never going to deliver the POD. My POD is 69 miles from my new home and they won't deliver it. I have spent over 6 hours on the phone with them this week, disconnected countless times, been assured that the delivery address is corrected for the right city, assured POD delivery on July 23rd, and ultimately, told after all this "Don at the Gardiner Maine facility is too busy right now (today is July 11 scheduled for delivery 1:08 hrs away on July 23) and he only has three drivers." The supervisor continued to say "they can't make them deliver it and the only option is for me to go there and get my belongings." I have already paid in full and since we are elderly and disabled, I have to spend an additional $1,500 to have my belongings moved 69.8 miles. The moving company said this has happened to so many people here because they've done several of these trips to Gardiner facilty. Worse, PODs supervisor said that he won't even refund the delivery charge on the bill even though they are not delivering because he cannot, it must go to corporate... I then contact a moving company. PODS reaches out claiming to want to resolve issue... Lillian, dispute contact "customer advocate" says not sure, research, but then a week later Saturday calls and says my POD will be delivered! Go ahead and cancel my movers. Turns out POD hired movers will uoad our belongings in the parking lot 69 miles away and reload them into truck and bring them the last few miles.... They will call on Monday. She then says "can they cut the lock?" I said okay but voiced concern at their unloading and reloading my stuff in a parking lot. She assured me " she has worked with them for 10 years" and great company. Monday at 1:30 pm still no call so I called Lillian and left messages. Finally, movers call around 3 and in her questioning me she says "can they cut the lock?" I said okay but then she says oh, but it's not a circular lock purchased from PODS is it? I looked at photo we took... of course it is. She says will you'll have to hire a lock smith because those locks need a metal saw and our drivers only have bolt cutters "AND PODS KNOWS THIS." I start calling PODS and reach Lillian and she calls the Gardiner facilty while I hold again... She says they can cut the lock tonight but then your POD will be uocked on the street all night. I said, DO NOT DO THAT we will drive there, 69 miles, to meet your movers with our POD lock key. Get there next morning, POD lock cut off and my belongings had indeed been left unlocked and open on a public street all night. My husband helped the mover since his guy called in sick and we finally got our stuff. Three weeks, 49 emails and 29 phone calls to get my belongings and they refuse to refund any of the charges other than my nonrefundable deposit to movers that I arranged. DO NOT USE PODS. YOU WILL REGRET IT.
