After years of getting my hair done by Lily, she has completely destroyed it. Hair breakage, scarring alopecia, split ends, my long hair has been ruined. I've tried to grow it for 2 years now, but the damage turned into split ends up the hair shaft and I keep having to get it trimmed. My hair broke off in odd parts, so now have to get a pixie cut. She'll get you the color you want for the most part. But completely ignores the integrity of your hair. This last visit, she had bleached my hair and left me sitting under the heat lamp for a long time, while she argued with a customer for hours. The customer complained about her hair getting ruined and wanted it fixed. I had to say something to Lily after it felt too long and she looked as if she forgot about me. She quickly tried to wash everything out and tone, but by then my hair was falling out in big chunks in the sink. I now have scarring alopecia and thinning hair. The severe breakage and scarring caused bald spots that I will never be able to fix. Lily is also a messy stylist. Bleach splatters everywhere, she got it on my arms, my clothes, left it on my ears and neck that burned me. I never asked to go this light for my hair either. Seeing this color completely shocked me. The hair around my ears were yellow while the rest was lighter. It was awful. I regret going here for so many years. My hair was so long and now I've had to cut it pixie style just to hope for new healthy hair again. Her balayages were not worth it. She can't do root touch-ups for black roots with blonde bleached hair without causing you to end up with breakage in weird spots on your head. Go at your own risk. read more

Not only do I always feel welcome at THE STUDIO HUE SALON: AVEDA, Lily is genuinely kind and always does an amazing job on my hair. I found The Studio Hue during COVID! I know my hair does exceptionally well with AVEDA products and Studio Hue is an AVEDA salon! Also, I prefer going to a salon where stylists are familiar with Asian hair. :-) I am now at a point in my life where the gray is not forgiving. Haha! I like highlights to disguise the gray, and of course, root touch ups are also essential! The other service I like to include is the AVEDA deep conditioning, which leaves my hair silky and soft. It lasts for at least a couple of weeks, and I can tell my hair loves the much needed hydration! Other services are available, such as nails and waxing, too! read more

I chose this salon for my first visit after reading so many positive reviews about Lynn, so I went in feeling confident. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. I brought in inspiration photos and specifically asked for long, soft, blended layers. Instead, I left with numerous very short pieces throughout the top and sides of my hair that stick out and don't blend with the rest of my hair. The final result looked nothing like what I had requested, and I was genuinely upset when I got home and was able to look at my hair more closely. After I posted my review, the salon reached out promptly. They offered to have another stylist fix my hair, but I declined because I didn't want to risk losing even more length trying to correct a haircut that was already much shorter than I wanted in certain areas. They also refunded me in full, which I genuinely appreciate and believe was the right thing to do. The salon asked if I would remove my one-star review because they had refunded me. While I appreciate their effort to resolve the situation, I don't feel it's fair to remove an honest review that reflects my actual experience. Reviews exist to help future clients make informed decisions, and my haircut experience was real. A refund addressed the financial aspect of the service, but it didn't undo the haircut or how upset I was with the result. I do want to give the salon credit for their customer service after the fact. They responded respectfully, offered a solution, and refunded me without making the process difficult. However, I'm still disappointed with the haircut itself and, because of that experience, I won't be returning. read more

She really listened to what I wanted and, more importantly, she was completely honest and upfront with me about a service I was considering. She actually recommended that I not have the service done because she did not feel it was the best choice for my hair - and that was a service she would have been paid for. That kind of honesty and integrity is rare and really impressed me. She did an excellent job on my haircut. I have a short textured bob and lots of hair, so a good cut is very important to me. I am 64 and not interested in an old lady haircut. Lily fixed the mistakes made by the last hairdresser and delivered a phenomenal, modern high quality cut. Even though this was my first time having her do my hair I have to give her an A+. It usually takes a stylist multiple haircuts before they figure out how to handle my hair, but in the case of Lily, she knows what she is doing. Got a great haircut by Mimi! She walked me through all the recommendations she had for my desired hair style. She let me know that I have fine hair and a lot of it. So we went with a U shaped haircut with face, framing layers, and plenty of thinning, especially in the back of my head. She shampooed and conditioned my hair and finished it off with a blow dry. Unfortunately, I was shocked by the price at the end of my service just because I was expecting to pay $45 but she ended up charging me 60. That was a huge surprise and a $15 jump is big. I didn't ask for anything other than a standard haircut which on the website says, comes with a shampoo and condition. I don't think I'll be back because of that, but nonetheless, it was a great service, she was a nice lady, but I know of places with cheaper haircuts for the same level of professionalism. read more
