I have been working out at the Studio for over 3 years now and this is my second yelp review for the Studio. The trains at the Studio are amazing. I continue to learn what it means to live a healthy lifestyle. I am healthier now than I have ever been. My joint mobility and strength is better than it has ever been. The community at the Studio may be the best part of working out there. They are supportive, positive and fun. We hold each other accountable. But the thing I like most about the Studio is the workouts. I am able to push myself as hard as I can go for 60 minutes. I can show up to class and I don't have to think about what I'm going to workout that day. The trainers have already figured it out. All I have to do is do my best. I would never work this hard in an old school gym. While working out they have knowledgeable trainers making sure my form is correct so I don't hurt myself and so I can get the most out of my workout. read more

I have never really been a gym person.. I find them quite intimidating and honestly not always very welcoming. However, after giving the Studio a trial run, I was hooked! The trainers are extremely welcoming and passionate about fitness but in a motivational way. They all seem to genuinely care and want to see you do your best. It's refreshing.. The classes are set up in a way that makes you push yourself as hard as you're willing to go and the trainers give you the nudge to push further than maybe you thought was possible. There are multiple classes throughout the day, classes provided online and live zoom classes to fit any schedule. I would highly recommend it to any newbie looking to push themselves past their comfort zone as well as an advanced athlete. 10/10 would recommend to anyone I know, every day of the week! read more

Great workouts! I started going because I was more comfortable with the open space when COVID cases were high and stayed because the coach who teaches the class I usually go to (Marika) is wonderful. The workouts are challenging and well-balanced and there's a nice sense of community. I wish I could make it more days/week, but I like the option of membership or drop in passes. read more

Helya is FANTASTIC. Not only does she have a body of a greek Goddess (seriously girl friend, I need your bod. Your hubby is a lucky man). She is incredibly sweet, welcoming and smart. Unfortunately, I was only able to attend one class with a colleague of mine, Ashley - who has lost SIGNIFICANT amount of weight taking classes with Helya at The Studio. However, the work out was extremely frustrating. Why? Because she actually WORKS YOU OUT, it does go by quickly but she is putting your ass to WORK. She is great with comforting you and really coaches you on your form, and she is a true inspiration; just from looking at her! She also has a podcast which offers a variety of answers to many questions that YOU as a member can write on her community board. She tries to answer these often, and I really value and respect that. TL;DR - Helya is a hard working, dedicated, and a sweet woman. When I get the funds, I will be trying to attend her more regularly. read more

The Studio continues to amaze me. Helya has created the best culture, trainers, and classes for an effective, positive workout. I am 3 months post-partum and rejoined The Studio after receiving clearance from my OB/GYN. The trainers have been exceptional at modifying moves to ensure I ease back in at my pace. Form is HUGE here in all of the classes (HIIT, LIIT, Circuit, Yoga, etc.). If a move is too difficult or strenuous, then there is always an acceptable modification. The trainers are great at providing cues and motivation throughout the workout. read more

I have been a member of The Studio for almost 6 years. The Studio is so much more than a gym, it is a community of people who are supportive and loving and who push each other the be the best. The trainers are beyond amazing. They will keep an eye on you to ensure that you have the proper form to prevent injury and they will push you to do just a little more to get the best out of your workout. They learn who everyone is, so after just a class or two you will be known by your name which is always a great feeling. The biggest thing right now is how The Studio has reacted through the pandemic. The Studio has pivoted gracefully into doing everything possible to keep the members and the trainers safe. They are currently open for in-person classes at a very limited capacity, so sign-up in advance! But they also offer a ton of amazing home workouts via zoom or recorded videos that can be done at any time. All of the trainers are still available for questions and you can still do personal training either in person or via zoom. The owner of The Studio, Helya, is the most amazing person. She has so much knowledge in fitness and nutrition and she works with her members in any capacity they need to get healthy. It isn't a focus on "weight loss" because there is so much more to being healthy than just the number on the scale. She wants us to make lifestyle changes, not do crash diets and extreme workouts that can ultimately do more harm than good. Helya has a heart of gold and is truly the best. Good place to work out, doesn't smell bad, and it's clean. The Studio Ventura is a nice gym to go to where the trainers know your name, remember your skill level and work with your ailments. The workouts are never the same and they hit different areas of the body at different intensities. It's easy to feel intimidated going to a gym and feeling like you have to keep up with everyone but not here. You make the workouts as hard or easy as you want and make modifications if you have an injury. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of people to compete with if you are the competitive type. If you are looking for that nightclub feel then this is not the place for you. This is a no frills operation and the class sizes aren't more than 12 people. Classes are available a few times in the morning and a few times in the afternoon, 6 days a week. I find a lot of value in the small business environment where you're more than just a number. I have made a lot of great friends at this gym. Give it a shot, there are usually smoking deals for newbies. read more

I joined this gym for the January challenge, and while I was hesitant I was still able to check out the gym before I committed. The place was well kept, and everything taped off for proper social distancing while working out. I loved that they had a water dispenser as well. The coaches on the the other hand are equally as great. Each one bringing to the table something unique, whether that be yoga, strength, mobility, or animal flow. There is something for everyone here. In addition, there are no excuses to not workout. What I appreciate the most is the pre-recorded videos on Instagram in case you get too lazy to physically go to the gym. I LOVE The Studio!!!!! If you want real results come here. I have tried so many different gyms and workouts. They all have their benefits and help in some respects. But the studio helps you gain strength, endurance, and flexibility so quickly it's incredible. These workouts are NOT EASY! They are high impact and intense and you WILL be sore. My advice is to come at least 3 times the first week you start, do what you can and work through the soreness. It will go away after that first week if you keep coming and you will feel AMAZING! The focus on correct form and the push to keep challenging yourself and growing is excellent here--you really don't get that at other gyms unless you're going to pay for personal training. My favorite classes are Friday's--Animal Flow is so unique and challenging, I've never done anything like it! One last thing, this place is great for men and women! read more

I absolutely love The Studio. The Studio has small group classes that focus on high intensity interval training. The classes are the perfect size - small enough to get the attention you need to ensure your form is good and you're doing the moves correctly, but large enough to keep the energy up and keep you challenged. This gym is truly for everyone - I started going after taking years off of working out and I was immediately hooked. In just 6 months of going to the Studio I dropped from 22% body fat to 18% and also got way stronger, have more energy, and feel so much better on a whole since joining The Studio. The Studio is really focused on form - I've dropped in to a lot of other gyms (CrossFit, HIIT centers, etc.) while I'm traveling and those instructors are always impressed at how good my form is! I visited this gym to try it out in December and then I joined a January fItness challenge there. After 25+ classes, I can say it's the best gym I've visited. The classes are small and there's so much support to help you wherever you are on your own fitness journey. There's a wonderful, supportive community of members and teachers. I've been taught the proper form for all the workouts and given direct feedback on my progress. HIIT classes are never boring because the activities rotate and they're designed to target all your muscle groups so it's a total workout. This is definitely a boutique gym/ studio in that there is no other like it. It is privately owned and a lot of TLC goes into making this gym safe and accessible during COVID (they follow all guidelines). Even prior to COVID this gym was exceptionally clean and tidy. I will compare the coaches to a box of chocolates. They all have a deliciously, unique flavor (unique specialties/certs) and though you enjoy them all, some days you just really need more of flavor X. The workouts will have mixes of HIIT, Intervals, muscle endurance, strength, yoga, Animal Flow, and mobility, mobility, mobility (! This gym is very mobility and corrective exercise oriented, which can help gym goers move past, or work with limiting injuries . There is also extensive training on Kettlebells if you prefer them (there are always modifications). They have Zoom classes available and an extensive library of easy to follow mobility videos and workouts. The mindset here is to develop great habits that benefit in the 'long- run", not just "the now". No egos here...just support. read more

Since joining The Studio I am down 30lbs & stronger than I have ever been. Helya and her team make working out fun & engaging - not to mention a killer workout. I started going to The Studio for the Yoga Flow class on Monday nights taught by Deanna after buying a Groupon. A couple classes later and I was hooked! Deanna is a great teacher- her flow is always different and dynamic each time, you'll never get bored. She is very considerate of each person in the class and asks for feedback about what elements we would like incorporated next time. I've been taking group classes at The Studio from the beginning, and I absolutely LOVE them!!! The Studio offers such a variety of classes, so I'm getting all types of workouts throughout the week. I love how I can get a balanced week of strength, stretching and cardio all from one place. The other big thing that sets The Studio apart from other gyms is the comfortable and personal atmosphere. All of the instructors here are amazing, and they genuinely care about everyone who attends their classes. They focus on me as an individual, and they push me to do better every time I'm there. I've come a long way since I've started classes here, and I know it's because of the support from everyone who spends time here. Even the other people taking classes have become friends and a support system for each other. The Studio has been an incredibly positive experience for me since I rarely did any sort of physical activity before coming here. This is honestly the best fitness studio I've ever been a part of, and I have tried soooooo many places over the years. The trainers are extremely knowledgeable, professional, and approachable. There is no space to feel uncomfortable or intimidated, everyone is supportive and happy to be working out together... I felt very welcomed from the moment I joined. The group classes offer a great variety, there is really such a good mix to keep your body balanced. Yoga, cardio, weight lifting, high intensity and more... I felt like I received a very well rounded workout from week to week. I definitely saw results and felt results very quickly. I really think if you're looking for an amazing workout, motivating trainers, and a sense of community than this is the place for you. This is the longest gym membership and again, the trainers know what they're doing and they CARE. They pushed you and believe you can do great things even when you doubt yourself. I found this studio through a Groupon Deal, I decided to try it out and from the beginning they were amazing. Helya and her team are very knowledgeable, they make sure you are doing the exercises correctly, they always give you options for the workouts so you can do them in your own "level", they studio is spacious, clean and the classes are not too packed. The other thing I like about there is the variation, they always change things up and make them more fun. The team is friendly, and always make you feel good, in a week I made friends with everyone which honestly keeps me motivated to go. First off, this review is LONG over due. I LOVE The Studio. I moved over several months ago and came from a Crossfit gym. I loved Crossfit! The intensity and heavy lifting was my jam but after several months of being in pain (not due to the Crossfit gym but I think my body just couldn't handle it anymore) I did a challenge at The Studio with a good friend of mine. After the month long challenge I realized I wasn't hurting. I made the switch and couldn't be happier. Helya and her team of amazing trainers give me a great workout every time! I'm the type of person that doesn't feel like they are getting a workout if they don't feel like they are dying during it. That being said, the trainers are very good about providing modifications if you have an injury or are just getting back into the gym. They've added new class times which is awesome. The trainers are always willing to modify/ make workout more challenging. There is some heavy lifting still and once the trainers get to know you they know EXACTLY what you should be doing (*cough*cough*thanks a lot Helya for challenging me). The gym also offers fun challenges to keep people engaged. The people are great and very welcoming. The class sized are manageable which allows for extra attention to proper technique. I can't say enough good things about The Studio. I love it and I urge you to try it out! read more

This is due to a few things: an actual one-on-one relationship with the owner, Helya, who keeps me motivated and trying new things; classes that seriously kick my butt and WORK to trim me down and build muscle; a solid team of trainers that know me, my body, my goals and that I have respect for their knowledge and craft; a super supportive team environment of other members with whom I have seen grow exponentially over the past year. The trainers are especially knowledgeable, and no two classes are the same so it keeps my body guessing.
