I got to say they went beyond the call of duty. I called 3 days before a huge holiday and they fit us in. That's huge there but then my husband forgot and he brought our girl in 2 hours late??? Right there I'd send him away but no they fit him in and did a great job. Ellie was bathed and combed out, trimmed and beautiful by 1:00. The place is clean, close and they are nice. I took my Maltese in to Sudsy Dog on 10 August 2016 for a nail trim. Carol butchered my dogs nails. She told me the nails were too long, that is why they bled. They had been trimmed less than a month ago. Several of the nails we bleeding profusely. I had to ask for a towel to wrap her in when I left for home. One of her nails had been cut to to less than 1/8 of an inch long. That is way too short. Carol wanted to blame others for that fact that she cut the nails way too short. The man who works there had to clean the blood from the grooming table and Carol's hands as well. They were covered with blood. Please do not allow this women to touch your dogs nails. She is totally incompetent to be cutting nails. Perhaps it is time for her to retire. If it were allowed, I would have given zero stars. read more

Very bad experience.kept the young dog from 9 to 5:30 and called us to let us know that the dog was too active and would not stay still for a trim. They started the trim and the poor thing looked all chopped up like a lawn mower had gone over her . Terrible and we had to go to someone else to fix the awful look. Do not use them if you have an active dog. read more

It's a little strange. When I called initially I talked to a man, who told me at some length that this isn't a single business, they are all "independent contractors." Well I don't care how they run their business, frankly. But this turns out to mean that he himself wasn't available, and they don't refer business to each other. Later we stopped by and Yvette was available. She seems very good, and did a great job on our dog, but it looks like results at this place are....uneven. YIKES! DO NOT GO HERE! I brought my cocker-mix and Yorkiepoo here last week. Their first and LAST visit at this place! I dropped them off at 9am and was told they would call me when the dogs were ready. At 3:30 I hadn't heard from them so I called, and they weren't done. I didn't get to pick them up until 5pm. They were in kennels when I arrived. The guy that had helped when I dropped them off went to get Lucy out and said that she was still bleeding...there was blood on the towel in the kennel. He didn't say anything to me, took Lucy over the owner, an older lady, and they looked at her back paw and dabbed it with a towel. Then he brought her back to me and she had blood on her paw and they didn't say a word to me about it. I realize accidents happen, and that their claws can sometimes be cut too short....but to not even tell me about it when I'm right in front of them?? She didn't seem to be in pain, so that was good. But the worst part was once she was in the car and we were on the way home, I noticed she was bleeding all over the front seat. And then she was bleeding at least an hour after we got her home. She was leaving pools of blood on the floor by her food where she was sitting. It also appears that neither one of them hadn't had any water all day, because they both drank together out of their large water bowl nonstop until their bowl was empty! I've never seen them do that before, even after a walk! My husband had to hold her and apply pressure to her paw until it stopped enough for us to wrap it up. I know that this happens, but to send her home bleeding that much? The groomer could have at least apologized! I think they kept her longer than planned just to see if it would stop bleeding. They also nicked her belly several times, too, and you can see the cut marks from the trimmer where they didn't use a guard, just the blades. It looks hacked off, and she's got several cuts on her belly. I took pictures. I called them and left a message telling them what had happened, and that they should know that it was much worse and they should've called me and told me about it. I asked for them to call me back, and no return call was received. read more

Do not go here!! There are plenty of other groomers in the Tri Valley area. My one year old Tea Cup Yorkie, Tito, has been going to Yvette for all of his grooming appointments since he was a puppy. The last time he went will be the last time. I dropped him off at 11am and asked if there was any way he could be done by 12:30pm (I had a AT&T appointment at 1:00pm), she said it wasn't possible and he would be done by 3pm. It wasn't ideal but I was willing to make it work. Out of the blue I received a phone call from her at 12:00pm that he was done! (Shocking because I was told there was NO way it would be possible) I unfortunately was in a hurry to get to my cable appointment and didn't take a look at her work (she had done just fine in the past so I didn't think it was necessary). I arrived home and was shocked at how terrible the hair cut was. I would have much rather waited until 3 to pick him up than this terrible cut. Very disappointing service! On a side note...I was talking to some friends about my experience and if they had any recommendations for other groomers. As soon as I mentioned the companies name they all cringed, so I am not the only unhappy customer. Wish I would have asked sooner. read more

I was taking my dog here for years but the service has went down hill in the past year. Last time I took my dog in at 9 a.m. and finally went to get him at 5 p.m. although they did not call. He wasn't even done all the way. I paid 50 for nothing and I don't plan on going back again. read more

Even though I live in Danville she does such a great job with my 3 dogs that I followed her to Livermore. She is kind and does a great job with our dogs! I highly recommend her. read more

Do you want to trust them with your pet. I don't think so. I use to work with a groomer like this lady. Scary, but we do not let this go on. We had an appointment for my dog to get groomed today at The Sudsy Dog. My husband brought her in this morning and walked into to find a guy that worked there aggressively "man-handling" and yelling at a dog and shoving it into a kennel. When the groomer walked out for our appointment my husband witnessed the guy take an object that looked like a rolled up newspaper, opened the kennel, begin hitting the dog with this object and yelling more at this dog. My husband asked the groomer if that was a clients dog to be groomed, she said "No, that's his dog." My husband responded by saying "I hope you don't treat customer's dogs like this" she replied "Well he's a really bad dog." My husband stated "that's no way to treat a dog" and she replied "I'm not going to groom your dog!" My husband agreed by stating "I wouldn't leave my dog with you anyway" and walked out. As he left she continued to talk and express that my husband "has a very bad attitude." That's all folks. Very disturbing and disappointing. Just wanted you all to know our experience and beware. read more

I walked in to drop my dog off to get groomed and there was a guy who worked there that was shoving a dog into a kennel in an aggressive manner, and yelling at the dog. The groomer walked out to meet us. The guy took an object (looked like a rolled up newspaper) and opened up the kennel and began beating the dog and yelling at it. I asked the groomer if that was a dog that got dropped off to get groomed. She replied it was his dog. I said I hope you guys don't treat customers dogs like that. She replied she wasn't going to groom my dog. I told her there was no way I would leave my dog with them anyways, and walked out. The bottom line is DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL THERE. Where to start? Called to see if they had an opening today, they said yes hurry and bring her in. We have a Pomeranian Corgie mix small dog. They said hurry as though they had a small window and could squeeze her in, this was at 10:30 am. I had her there at 10:45-11:00. While dropping her off I see they have about 10-12 dogs already there. My dog was quickly stuffed in to one of many kennels behind the counter. They asked what I was looking for, I started saying short, was cut off by a response "ok short" and that was all the interaction besides them asking for my phone number. They looked swamped more dogs arrived as I was there. Hours went by, at 4:30 my girlfriend called to check in, the response was "I told you I had a lot of dogs" and basically got hung up on. Are you kidding? I was not interested in boarding my dog for the day, you told me to hurry and get her in said nothing about how many dogs you had already. A professional would have known how many dogs they had and based an appointment on it, I would have been fine if you said bring her in at 3-4. Just saying. Back to our story, we were fed up my girlfriend went down expecting to demand our dog back at 4:45, our dog was not fully groomed but back in a kennel. They put her back on the table and "finished" her when my girlfriend demanded her back. The fur was very uneven all over, long patches (obvious from a distance away) on her belly, there were clipper grooves and lines over her head to her eyes (this is an area to blend not run clippers any professional knows this), looked as though they trimmed her feet with bare clippers with many lines from nicking with the blade, had numerous nicks and cuts from the clippers in numerous places from her feet to her belly to her ears. She looked horrible, and to top it off they sprayed her with some god awful perfume you would expect your grandmother to wear, instantly stunk up our house. Needless to say she went straight to the bath, followed by an emergency groom repair job by Petsmart in Dublin (thank you Petsmart again). Petsmart was baffled as to how she was groomed, they took pictures before touching her for liability reasons, because some areas could not be fixed without going bare completely all they could do was try and blend things in.
