Gustavo blew my expectations away with his work on my dog Maggie. He arrived on time and I shared that Maggie has had bad experiences with groomers in the past. He was patient with her, sent a reassuring message and took his time with her haircut. I sent a photo of the haircut I wanted for Maggie and Gustavo gave her one of the best haircuts she's had. When he dropped her off he told me that she did well during the groom and Maggie even said goodbye to him which is a sign of a good relationship between them. Marco drove right up, super friendly, and took a look at Toby to see what he was working with. Toby has a small growth on his upper eyelid that creates a lot of gunk around his eye. Gustavo was our grooming yesterday, and he was great at listening to our requests for DOOM. Though a little late due to traffic, the session itself was almost less than an hour, which was fantastic! DOOM had a bath, as well as the teeth, brushing and mouth spray, and we had specifications on what parts of his fur should be trimmed, which would just actually be around his feet, and Gustavo executed perfectly. We actually had doubts for this groomer, as a previous one, returned to our dog with red eyes, which was alarming since it wasn't communicated prior to the session ending, which for us was a really big deal. We gave them another shot, and Gustavo did really well. We had a slight language barrier issue, and Gustavo whipped out the Google translate, which I think was very proactive, and answered any questions that would help put us at ease. On top of that, he also sent a few pictures during the session of DOOM to put us more at ease, which I really appreciated. Safe to say, I will happily be rebooking for the next grooming session. Fernanda is amazing and is the only person I trust to care for chewy and my late dog, Butter. Chewy is currently 14.5 and has laryngeal paralysis, and cannot stand for very long. The last time I took him to pets mart for grooming, the groomer let him attempt to jump on the table which resulted in him tweaking his back. After that experience we decided to never go back and Fernanda takes perfect care of him. She works with him through the difficulties he has during a groom. I cannot thank her enough. read more

Really unfortunate experience. I had been using the same groomer for over a year and was always happy with the service. Unfortunately, she was no longer with the company, so I scheduled an appointment with a different groomer. Shortly before my appointment, I received a text saying the groomer was on the way. About 15-20 minutes later, I received a call from the business confirming how to locate our home. After waiting another 30-40 minutes with no one arriving, I called the office. There was no answer at first, but they eventually called me back and explained that the groomer had experienced a medical emergency and would not be able to groom my dog that day. I completely understand that emergencies happen, and I sincerely hope the groomer was okay. What was disappointing was the lack of communication and follow-up. The person I spoke with didn't seem particularly apologetic, and I had to ask whether someone would call me to reschedule. I was told they would--but nearly two months later, I've never received a call. Things happen, but good customer service is measured by how a business responds afterward. Unfortunately, the complete lack of follow-up left me very disappointed. read more

I have used Wow my Dog for over 2 years for our sheepdog Sugabugga. Unfortunately, every time you book a new appointment, the groomer you had used in the past no longer works there so you have to start from scratch with a new groomer explaining your preferences. We booked an appointment for a bath (no haircut) and when the groomer, Patricia, showed up we said no cutting...we were very clear. About 20 minutes later, I received a text from her saying that because she was matted, she would need to do a hair cut...a shorter CUT.....and more expensive. I responded to keep it as long as possible. There was NO MENTION of her having to be SHAVED! I knew that she had a couple of mats as I brush her often and cut out her mats when I find them but she was NOT severely matted as she stated. Imagine our shock and dismay when Suga came out COMPLETELY SHAVED! Her underbelly and private parts are shaved down to the skin which has resulted in her itching and scratching like crazy. We have been putting baby powder on it to try to lessen the irritation but it's really bad! I would NEVER use them again despite the manager calling me to try to make it right. How can you possibly make this right?! read more

I had my mother's little terrier mix and my huge, water hating ridgeback groomed by Filipe. While it was a bit challenging to communicate my specific wishes due to language differences, he did an excellent job on both dogs and did everything I had requested. I was nervous with my ridgeback being groomed. She is two and has only been bathed twice because she hates it so much. She is also very difficult with having her nails trimmed (in fact the vets were not able to clip more than one nail). I was so stressed about how she would handle it all but when I peeked in through the front window she looked calm and happy as a clam dog. Filipe manage to do a great job on all of her nails.
