This place is adorable! Outside there are ice cream cone seats, m and m figures, and several cute photo opportunities. Inside there's a bit of everything -- all sorts of jelly bean flavors and candies by the pound plus nostalgic candies and chocolates. Then there are the pastries and coffees. Oh, did I forget to say ice cream? This is the perfect snack place or after dinner "dessert" location. We wound up with some different candies, taffies, and jelly beans. Plus the gal working the counter was so nice and personable. We wound up having a long conversation, too. We came here first in the morning as this was the departure point for our historical tour of Tybee. My husband said the coffee was very good. We came back later for the sweets.

The Sweetest spot on Tybee! Waiting for our island tour, we stopped in. I ordered a cup of some really Great coffee. As we lokk looked around we chatted with Angie, a superstar in customer service and a treasure drive of information. Candy, candy everywhere and even something to drink!

What a great selection of candy and hard-scooped ice cream! The Sugar Shack has a fantastic atmosphere - complete with an outdoor seating area. The candy bag prices are a biiiit too high, but didn't stop us from loading up and getting great service with a smile at the counter.

Cookies and cream (I usually don't get this flavor but they didn't have great options)

So... everything here was just okay. I'm from a place that set the bar pretty high though and the south can't compete with the West Coast (it's only my opinion). They were super busy and based upon the time and day they're probably always busy (It's definitely a place for the locals). Most of the candy I bought I didn't like the texture, I felt like the guy in the white shirt was h*** and over charged me. I literally got a small cookies n'cream and a small bag of candy and paid $17. The price took me back but there was a lot going on so I just let it go because I knew I probably wouldn't be back anytime soon. The ice cream and sitting outside in a ice cream cone while I ate it was the best part. It's really a place that would make a child happy for sure and possibly take someone back to a childhood moment. They also reserve golf carts here and they all looked really nice but I believe the town shuts down early.

The Sugar Shack is a cute little shop to come for ice cream. I was really excited that they had peach ice cream, something I was hoping to try while on my Georgia vacation. It was delicious and very creamy! There is a shop inside that sells candy and other merchandise, then you go into the next room to order your ice cream. The employees were friendly. You can go outside to enjoy your ice cream and sit in their cute ice cream shaped chairs and colorful tables. Great place for families.

Ok mom and pop kind of place. Inexpensive and no frills but decent food. Outdoor seating.

Hand down you have to make this a stop when visiting Tybee. Great sandwiches, even better ice cream and shakes! Family/locally owned!

The ice cream tasted good but the place is filthy and extremely run down. They were out of some ingredients.

Long line. Small portions compared to the price. Ice cream was good. Not much atmosphere to eat your ice cream.

Denied us service because we were wearing face coverings that were not "masks" after waiting in line for over 15 minutes.

It did me last year, but this year we went ahead and tried it…read more Sundae Cafe is wedged between a liquor store and a convenience store, this is apparently a thing on Tybee island. What you find inside is a nicely appointed restaurant with a beautiful long bar which we highly recommend you eat at. Our bartender Christy was amazing. But more about her later, right now I will talk about the food. We started with the margarita scallops, which was chunks of seared scallops soaked in margarita on toasted wonton chips with a black bean corn, salsa and drizzle with a local aioli, YUM! We also had their fried green tomatoes, which came with apricot horseradish sauce and aoli. Kiki had the catch of the day, which was a grilled piece of grouper atop mediterranean couscous and a medley of mediterranean vegetables. I had the prime rib, which came with lobster Chili Churri butter and a brandy peppercorn sauce. Both entrees were amazing. Now back to our bartender Christie. To say that she wears many hats is an understatement. She greeted us when we sat at the bar, by the way, did I mention that you can reserve seats at the bar? She described the menu items in a way that you only expect to find from a waiter in the finest restaurants in the world. She addressed any and all allergy issues relating to these dishes all the while she is making drinks for patrons at the bar as well as handling the service bar for all the patrons in the restaurant. Without missing a beat, she takes our order.Buses plates from other customers and continues to make drinks for everybody in the restaurant. At this point I think I told her her new nickname should be the Flash. At one point during our dinner, we saw her serve a bottle of wine to another couple at the end of the bar. Her presentation was that of a full wine sommelier with pouring a taste for approval while showing the label of the bottle as she waited for the customers approval then pouring the glasses after approval was given. List of hats: Bartender Bar Back Waiter Sommelier Entertainer Influencer to a new generation of food service, people on Tybee island. ( She babysat the owner of Bubba Gumbo's.) Lest I forget she is also the General Manager of the restaurant. She is someone that I would like to call friend after meeting her once and eating at her restaurant only once.

Started with some bread, a scallop appetizer and salad which was pretty good. Our main dishes are spectacular, the flavors are amazing, best prime rib I have ever had, complements to the chef's. For dessert we had Banana pudding cheese cake. Melissa our waitress was excellent, knew her specials, friendly and professional kept up with us and made sure we had what we needed. The atmosphere is great, not a large dining room but it is a beautiful restaurant. The only thing when at capacity it is loud, so it is at times hard to hear your own conversation. I (we) highly recommend this restaurant when on Tybee Island, The restaurant is open till 9:00pm so make a reservation.
