You can access it via a tucked away escalator or you can take stairs between the wings of the building. In 2005, the Elevated Acre had a redesign of the plaza. The remodel included adding additional gardens, more seating, a tiered amphitheater, a promenade overlooking the East River, varied landscape elements, and better access with the escalators and stairs. The elevated acre is easy to miss. The entrance is discrete and without knowing the stairs or escalator could lead up to this beautiful garden. Every time I went up to the Elevated Acre, it was so quiet and serene. Amid the skyscrapers in the Financial district, this is a great location to escape to. The plaza features landscaped gardens, benches, and plantings. The other side is more open with a lawn, terrace and a amphitheater. You can view the East River, Brooklyn Bridge, and Brooklyn from the Elevated Acre. You can come here for lunch, or evening events! The elevated acre does host outdoor movies, performances and gatherings! The varied topography helps to buffer the street noise too! It's generally open daily with hours in the morning to the night. There is a few restaurants near Elevated Acre like Patsy's Pizzeria & Bar. This is such a great area and a must visit if you're in the Financial District in New York City!

The new large screen for the FIFA games has really added something special. Seeing people gathered together watching Switzerland play Colombia, cheering for their teams and enjoying the excitement of the game, made the whole place feel alive. I also noticed the new games and activities for both children and adults, which is such a nice touch. It makes the Winter Garden feel even more welcoming and gives families, friends, and visitors another reason to spend time there. What I love most about this place is how it changes with every event and season. The beautiful palm trees create such a unique atmosphere, and I've enjoyed coming here for The Nutcracker during the holidays, the Lunar New Year celebrations, and many times simply to relax and spend time with family and friends. Every visit feels different. The surrounding area makes it even better. Having places like Le District nearby, along with cafés and shops offering crêpes, ice cream, coffee, and pastries, makes it easy to stay and enjoy the experience. The mix of restaurants, cafés, and stores, including luxury shops like Louis Vuitton, adds to the feeling that there is always something new to discover. No but it is a free entrance. I came here on a Monday and it was pretty quiet with little crowds. They had a children's museum and several veterans buildings. Most of them were closed due to their hours being only on weekends. Our main goal was to visit the Chinese temple. There aren't visible signs so we got lost for almost 20 minutes, hiking through unnecessary dirt. Once found, it was unfortunately closed! It was such a bummer. There is one food place in the entire garden but I felt it was pricey and opted to eat in the city. Would I return? Probably not but i can see if someone wants to relax at a park to read a book and free of the NYC noise then this is your park! Best to wear sneakers here, you will WALK! We arrived and were greeted and taken to our reservation after a few minutes. Right off the bat, it looked great with pink everywhere. The "glasshouse" was a bit small, and my chair was wobbly; I felt like it was going to break if I moved too much. There was barely any room to stretch your legs. Our server came by, gave us the menu, and disappeared. After a while, he eventually came back to take our order. The place was packed, I'll give them that, but given that we paid for the special dinner package, they would be more attentive, given the price we paid. We finally got our drinks, which were not included in the dinner experience, by the way. The package only includes the guava tea, hummus appetizer with pita bread, and a choice of one entree each with dessert to finish it off. Anything else you pay for separately. For my drink, I got the Blushing Bourbon, which was really good! As for the food, we started with the Crispy Coconut Shrimp app, which was good with the sweet chili sauce. As for the limited choice of entrees, we went for the Golden Chicken Milanese and the Sakura Teriyaki Chicken Bowl. The Milanese chicken, while it was huge, needed more seasoning; it tasted so bland, and the mustard sauce did not help at all. My friend did not like the Teriyaki chicken bowl, but I did, as it was much better than my dish. The portion, however, was small. After we had somewhat finished our food, we were served the raspberry macarons for dessert, which were good but tasted like regular macarons, so nothing special. Of course, the check came quickly without being asked, with an 18% tip automatically included. After paying, we went around exploring photo ops. There was a lot to take pictures of, very Instagram-worthy, but that's about it after experiencing it.
