It was nice seeing so many people taking the ferry from the city and discovering what we've always known about this place. We stayed in one of the bungalow suites, which was perfect for spending time with family. The food was great, the staff was friendly, and the whole place had a relaxed, welcoming feel. One of the coolest moments was watching a Brazilian concert from the rooftop. I never would've imagined seeing something like that in my hometown growing up. It was a great time on the Rock.

The space is well put together, inside of a former Army church, surrounded by abandoned buildings, it's a really nice venue to view art in. It's been restored by not too much, it's still rustic. They offer beer, wine, and snacks, and were playing your standard electronic ambient music. For the most part I also really enjoyed the selections of pieces from artists they were showing. The main room has great acoustics and we got to see a cello player perform. The garden out back is a great space that's both part of the exhibit and a location to hang out in. There are old velvet couches sprinkled through the overgrowth, tiki torches and fairy lights highlighting both artwork, old mechanical equipment, and neglected garden decorations. If you go through the garden, around the back to where this massive hulking abandoned building is, you'll find a direct route to the beach too. Definitely worth stopping to take a look at if you're nearby.

She came up with the concept of rubber duckies as the theme which we then loved so much that we centered the entire shower around it. Everything from the idea to the execution was performed beautifully. She kept us in the loop about everything (which we appreciated so much) and made sure we were happy every step of the way. Also as a special gift she made us a beautiful diaper cake which we were able to display as a centerpiece on our dessert table. Would recommend her to everyone for any occasion. Amazing job!!
