I was super excited to see she had Hot Cross Buns which I had always wanted to try but never found a bakery that sold them. Once again I was left very disappointed. The bun itself was very dry and the cross on top was so hard you could not eat it. I was literally able to peel the cross off the bun and it did not break. The last thing we got was what I think was a Chocolate Chunk Pecan Pie ??? It was like a chocolate chess pie with pecans and chunks of chocolate baked into it. Once again very disappointed. The pie should have been sweet but was very lack luster and flavorless. One bright spot, however, was the owner who was pleasant despite the culinary shortcomings. I appreciate her kindness and the effort she put into creating such a beautiful space, but when it comes to flavor, there's room for improvement. Here's hoping future visits bring a better balance between the bakery's stunning presentation and the taste of its creations.
