I met confectionary chef, Amy Hinden, during a recent trip to Avila, California. She is the nicest…read moreperson and I am blown away by her delicious cashew brittle. Everyone is always a fan of peanut brittle but cashews are far more flavorful and have a better texture than peanuts. When I tried a sample of Amy's California Cashew Brittle, I fell in love. The brittle has the perfect crunch - not too hard and not too soft. The cashews are fresh, plump & whole - not broken down pieces. I loved the buttery taste and consistency. California Cashew Brittle is the best brittle I've ever had. What I love about California Cashew Brittle the most is that there are no preservatives, it's always made fresh and it's made in a home kitchen. CCB is a family owned and operated business and I am always a fan of supporting local. Amy sells her CCB in 6 or 12 ounce bags. You can order cashew brittle off of the website (californiacashewbrittle....) or call her directly. She accepts large orders and will package as you wish. My 12 ounce bag of brittle came in a clear bag and a beautiful gold-ish colored ribbon. It was perfect for the holidays. Amy will also consider special requests for packaging and ribbon colors if you are trying to give away brittle as party favors or match the theme or color scheme for a party. California Cashew Brittle will be available at local farmer's markets within a few months. If you live in the Avila/ Santa Maria/ San Luis Obispo area, you're in for a treat when you can sample CCB. One taste and it'll leave you wanting more. Support local!

Was never a huge fan of Cashews to begin with, unless they are stir fried with chicken .. but…read morecashews in a brittle?? ... definitely the best thing to hit my taste buds in a loooong time!!! I recently discovered California Cashew Brittle at the "Savor the Central Coast Food & Wine Festival." It was quite the overwhelming scene with food and drink samples literally everywhere you looked. I would have never thought to stop for a sample of a cashew brittle, but low and behold the guy working there (I think his name was Pat or Matt??) called out to me and asked me to try a sample - of course, I obliged. It was love at first taste! As my mind was being blown, Pat/Matt explained to me that the cashew brittles were made fresh from scratch inside his home kitchen with all natural ingredients. I was actually holding a wine sample in my other hand (chardonnay) and the cashew brittle surprisingly paired exceptionally well with it!! There are 2 sizes of bags that you can buy, but they can do custom sizes and orders as well. These are perfect for the upcoming holiday as stocking stuffers or for any other occasion as well. Turns out, Pat/Matt is a Lakers fan just like me, which made it an easy decision for me to place an order on the spot for my holiday party. If I could give 6 stars, I would. Go to www.californiacashewbrittle.com and get yourself some of this goodness ASAP!!!
