Delicious coffee shot with vanilla ice cream
    Melly M.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this amazing place! I think between two visits we have tried the majority of their items, from baked goods such as cookies, brownies, blondies to blizzard/ milkshakes to a coffee milkshake.... Yes this was as divine as it sounds. I just drank all of mine and I cannot stop thinking about going to get another! It's Americano with ice cream! (You can choose to add it with chocolate, vanilla or swirl soft serve ice cream.)Doesn't that sound heavenly! The most glorious thing I've ever had. Not exaggerating! You've got to try this place! Can't wait for a birthday for a reason to order a big cake! I travel 25 minutes to get there and don't mind one bit!

I must have been here two dozen times. The brownies are fudgey. The chocolate chip cookies are chewy with a pinch of salt. Absolutely everything I've had is incredible. I got these cupcakes made for a birthday ... unbelievable. The cake tastes like the most moist airy and delicious home made you've ever had and the icing is a creamy sugary dream. Thank you and keep up the awesome work!

A great spot for a coffee and the cookies and baked goods are too die for. Awesome addition to Kerr street.

I've ordered the custom cookies for my son's birthday for the past couple of years and they're always a hit.

Every time I come here I find that the average demographic leans a bit older so I'd like to share with younger people especially if you like to cook with hard to find ingredients. This place is especially great if you love making Italian dishes and baked goods like me and don't want to drive all the way out towards Mississauga and spend more than anticipated at other specialty stores, or even somewhere like Fortino's where you get charged an arm and a leg for certain produce and meat. Everything here is so fresh, and I love that they sell their prepared handmade pasta at the hot table for CHEAP. I got one serving of their handmade tortellini in alfredo sauce for just $6.99 and I was able to make two meals out of it without any extra sides or drinks. I haven't tried anything else because they had already closed most of the hot table when I got the tortellini but what was still out looked really good. Their desserts are pretty good too, I prefer their cookies over their cakes as I feel I've had better elsewhere, but nonetheless have a great selection with good pricing as well. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area, I feel like even if you came in without the intention of buying something, you'll still manage to make a purchase of some sort lol.

Patisserie D'Or has been on my bookmarks for YEARS and I just stopped by since I was finally in…read morethis area of Oakville! Honestly, my first impressions of the interior weren't great. It looks really tired and dated, in desperate need of a refresh. Interior is more small town general store as opposed to French patisserie. The refrigerated display was covered in condensation so honestly, it wasn't invited and difficult to see the cakes/tarts that were hidden behind the water droplets. I felt as though this did a HUGE disservice to the baker 'cause this definitely prevents people from being able to properly see the products. Adjacent to the display case, were croissants (chocolate, almond, plain) and pain aux raisin. Clearly some items were in demand because there were less of certain items. Plain Croissant was $4 which, based on the size isn't too bad. "Fancier" croissants were closer to the $5 range. I didn't see any fresh bread, but they had frozen bake-at-home ones in the fridge. Not sure if it was because they were sold out. I got the pain aux raisin and it was pretty good! Not super flakey, a bit more moist, but not dry either. Not super buttery. This was in the early afternoon. And the pain aux raisin was DEFINITELY better than the poor example that I had at Gouter (Etobicoke). That was tiny and not very fresh! Overall, Patisserie D'Or could've been better, but if it's in your neighbourhood, it's probably a bonus.

However, the size was definitely smaller than before. In the past, 1 box can only hold 3 pieces of eclairs and now 4 pieces can fit in. Same price as before. Since I didn't see Monica in the store for a couple times, I asked the lady who served me the whereabout of Monica. That lady told me that Monica and her husband (the French chef) are no longer working there, and she is the new owner now. That's why I noticed a few changes there. The TV was gone and they now have breakfast menu for dine in. New changes are good. Hope they will have more new baking items soon. Unfortunately, since the French chef Mr. Jean-Luc no longer the owner, why they still keep the original website from the old owner. That is misleading.

Let me start by saying there are not many authentic French bakeries outside the downtown core, so it's such a relief when you finally find one in the GTA. In comes Tradition de France. Right when you walk in, you are greeted with a "Bonjour!". They offer a wide variety of items but I mostly just come for the croissants and more specifically now, the almond croissants. I'm not gonna lie, they're pricey. It's $6 for one almond croissant BUT, take a look at my pictures. The size of one of these is my face+. You're insane if you think I personally, could finish one of these in one sitting lol. This is defs a two-part pastry lol. This croissant is so big and does not look like your average croissant but boy is it GOOD. It's buttery, no fake almond extract taste present and the almond filing texture is just right. It's filled to the point where the bottom of the croissant gets a little soggy, which is exactly what I look for in an almond croissant. The plain butter croissant is also perfect. Flaky and buttery with all the layers. Again, it's so hard to find authentic French bakeries outside of Toronto, so Tradition de France is a good place to start, if you're looking to get your croissant fix.
