I ordered a mini chocolate/maple swirl with chocolate sprinkles and it was DELIGHTFUL! Very smooth, rich, and creamy soft serve. The maple flavor was a nice twist. This is really just a window attached to the candy store, so a lot of people were milling around on the sidewalk after getting their ice cream! I'll definitely be back!!

They also have soft serve, which is both delicious and more reasonably priced. Super beautiful space, and super nice employees! -- I frequently visit this candy shop at least once a week as it's the only way to get my steps in this winter (I live in southie, so I make the commute by foot) AND because my sweet tooth practically compels me to spend an exorbitant amount of money on swedish candy. So, I feel like I have formed a strong opinion about Madeleine's. First, it's colorful, it's beautiful, and it's incredibly welcoming with the way they have been decorating for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Feels like I'm in Stars Hallows. They always have a new candy of the week to try for free at the counter, which is also a fun way of distracting me as I tap my card again and again for a (10 dollar) baggie of bubs. Yes, ten dollars for a baggie of PRE-packaged swedish candy. That's where this place loses its star. Week to week the mix of candy can change, and often times I'm left with candy that I don't really want. But is it worth it as a midweek pick me up? Yes, sometimes. BUT they also added a soft serve window that rotates flavors by the seasons (maple is my favorite), and you have the option to add a generous amount of bubs for only $2. The ice cream is much more reasonably priced. That makes a visit here worth it. This place is a must-stop in the south end area if you have a sweet tooth but expect it to be on the pricier side.

There was one guy working who was super helpful in answering our questions. After looking at the selection of chocolates we decided on getting mini truffles. They can come in as a box of 1, 2, 4, 8, or 12. There were a few flavors we picked that were sold out, but ended up getting sea salt caramel, strawberry, strawberry cheesecake, sweet dreams, Dubai, peanut butter, red velvet, and white chocolate. The sea salt caramel is a fan favorite and definitely one of the favorites I tried as well. The mini truffles are priced at $2.50/piece so a box of 8 will set you back at $20. I wasn't a big of the white chocolate or Dubai, but these are definitely great chocolates to treat yourself or to give as a gift. I'd definitely recommend trying them out and hope to come back to try out all the other flavors.

They have a variety of pastries as well ; it's reflected in the photo below . This is strictly a bakery you pick stuff up they have no seating . The ambience is friendly and warm . I've been purchasing Fastachi for many years, excellent product. Visited the store today, was…read moredisappointed they no longer carry marzipan (tho still listed on website). Usually I take goods home w me but today wanted to order a gift for out of state delivery. Presume the quality of the gift will be nice as usual but the staff member acted as if she had better things to do. (It was not busy at the shop, only one other customer who was being taken care of), almost asked her if she was okay, came close to walking away without completing the order. Clearly, she dislikes her job and isn't interested in customer service. It's a bad look for Fastachi. We all have bad days but this person had a serious disregard for doing her job. Makes one hesitate to return.

Now they have canceled that option ...no phone calls accepted/returned new policy! I made 5-6 efforts yesterday to place an order and the computer program just will not accept the information and keeps stating that I need "To follow the format,..." which I thought I was doing. I wrote to their website/email and no response. I would just forget Fastachi totally at this point, never attempt to order again, however I had discussed some options with a client who chose to receive treats from them. I don't understand why I cannot simply order online and have it go through. It has never been a possibility for me over perhaps five years trying yo order online. Never had such a problem with other vendors! They even identify on the website the l item I want, which is a variety of chocolate bark as requested by my client. But, when I double click on it, I get all the chocolate treats and I cannot find the bark. I'm very very disappointed and not sure how I will handle this. Such inconvenience and lack of customer support. They apparently have expanded their services to other stores and have what looks like a large corporate clientele. I cannot understand why they no longer accept phone calls when their system to place orders just does not work! I would love help with this particularly for this one situation and then I wouldn't bother them again and not purchase their wonderful treats as gifts. To me this seems like a very poor resolution of a problem that should not exist in 2025 with current communication possibilities via computers. I'm very upset and disappointed. Marcia Tritter
