They knew were visitors and showed us where we should go. I loved that the lobby had coffee/water. Sure there is a lot nearby (kind of) but who wants to walk super far. The congregation and pastors are amazing. They are genuine people with interesting and humble opinions. This church doesn't feel like your average church, more of that new-age Christian vibe. They are very welcoming and friendly. Everyone feels like they belong here no matter what race, belief, ethnicity, age, sex, gender, or anything else they belong to. They have multiple rooms for mass and a decent amount of times. They are also accessible online and have recently renovated one of the areas. You don't feel forced to do anything here or donate. There are so many programs and events happening at this church it's kind of wild how they are able to keep up and organize all the events. The live music almost reminds me of a rock concert at times but it's still amazing to hear. They have projectors that display current events, pictures, and other stuff. I will just say as soon as I left it seemed I didn't make much of a dint after all, as most people here stopped replying to me who I considered friends. Not that we fell out of touch. I mean actually just stopped communicating with me because I moved away and apparently I wasn't super important to them after all. I won't be more specific than that. What I will say is consider what kind of crowds the sermons draw at any church. That will be the fruit. If they are very social-media friendly for example, the attendants will reflect that. Since I am not keen on being a Christian influencer or gaining followers, I guess it was inevitable it would be time to leave at some point. Just my experience. Some churches are there for you to grow out of eventually and that is OK too, everyone starts their walk somewhere. But I do not see a whole lot of actual paper Bibles in the audience to put it shortly.

Went to my first in person service today and felt immediately at home!…read more The greeter at the door was very friendly, as was everyone else to welcomed me in. Someone showed me to kids check-in and showed me where my daughter could go while I was in service. The kids workers were nice and the preschool room was clean, organized and perfect for littles. We arrived early so we enjoyed a cup of coffee in the cafe before service. Very yummy coffee and a cute cafe vibe. The service was also wonderful. Great music and preaching. I hope to return!

I never left any trash, was clean and quiet, and ran off anybody who was a troublemaker..I remember when I first started sleeping there, they had very soft red lighting that was kind of looked evil/gothic, but was comforting also....over the years, they installed much brighter LED lights that were much less pleasant, but more modern..I loved this church and the neighborhood after sleeping here so long... I once went to this church with a friend of mine who attended here - i loved the service and one of the singers sang a song so profoundly beautiful, it made my friend and I cry...I was so touched by the singing - this was this pinnacle of artistic expression... in December of 2019, i had returned to Sac only for a couple months - so naturally i slept here in my longtime sleeping spot...I was always quick to rise early and clean up my belongings and make sure no trace was left behind of my presence there...but some guy came out of the church from inside around 5:30 am as I was cleaning up my stuff, as i had done for many years...he gave me quite a startle as church staff usually didn't show up so early....he made me nervous...i tried to explain myself but I was so nervous...I got the feeling he was about to run me off...:( By the grace of God, I have had housing for over a year and a half now...I can't thank God enough, Praise Him - and a massive thank you to whomever at the Church was aware of me, for letting me sleep there...I wasn't sure if the church really knew I was there..but one day, a nice lady was sitting on the church steps when I got there - she said she attended the church and the Pastor knew I slept there and it was okay...my heart was so joyous when she said that..that just showed me the Pastor was a true man of God...
