Excellent service and tacos. Marcelino catered an event for us at a home and was extremely friendly. He's the kind of guy that you could just stand next to, eat your tacos and talk to for hours. He was very well organized, clean, efficient and friendly. Definitely helps keep the mood at a fun event. Pork and beef tacos were my favorite, but chicken wasn't bad at all, either. First time trying taco catering. Although the meat is good, it can be better. It needs more flavor and juiciness. I am very disappointed with the sofritas vegetarian choice. It's just basically cut and placed the tofu on the serving tray and that's it. No seasoning or what so ever. The salsa are not authentic Mexican style. Very bland and not spicy. Very tomatoey, no texture. Chipotle would have been better. The guacamole I cannot describe how they made the guacamole. It was very mushy. Salad were not fresh. Some have brown texture. The rice was okay, not the traditional Mexican rice everyone knows. My guests says it's good. But you know maybe they are just being nice and respectful to say that. Tuition Tacos catered my Superbowl party this year and once again the food was a hit with everyone. This is the second time I've had them cater a party and I've been happy with the service both times. This is a great service for larger parties and can really make life easier if you are having a lot of people over. Everything was cooked fresh and there was a chef onsite, Alex, who did a great job serving everyone. We ordered steak tacos with refried beans and rice, quesadillas, and churros for dessert. There were a couple different salsas to choose from and cilantro, onions, and other stuff for the tacos. The churros were a hit, especially for the kids. Price wise, they are among the most competitive, and in my opinion the service is relatively affordable for what you get. In the area of communication, definitely the most responsive catering company I contacted, even on short notice. I didn't figure out what I wanted to do until two days before the Superbowl, and they still had someone available.
