Great place with an amazing beer selection and the friendliest staff I've ever encountered at a bar.

When alerted to my allergies, he made sure to check with the chef and make good recommendations on things I could have and still enjoy my time out. Each staff member were very friendly and pleasant. Ambiance - 5/5 This location was very clean and orderly - even the restroom! There was plenty of seating inside and outside. The temp within the building was perfect - not to cold or hot. Food - 3/5 Now, for the most important part - FOOD. This is where they fell a little short for me. I ordered: - The Salmon Salad (one of the specials) - The Philly Cheesesteak (one of the specials) - comes with a side (fries) - 5 wings with blue cheese Due to my allergies, I changed out the strawberry dressing for blue cheese and ranch. The salmon salad was pretty good overall. I believe the strawberry dressing would have given it the balance it needed of a hint of sweetness from the fruit. But it was still good. Where things fell short was the cheesesteak. I did it with the wings as take out. The flavors of the cheesesteak were off. I shared it with others and we all said it was a seasoning on the meat or something that didn't go well. It didn't have the taste you are familiar with when it comes to a classic cheesesteak. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't something we would order again - you know things just ain't forever one. This was one for us. It might be something great for someone else. The wings and fries were good. The fries had a good seasoning to them and the wings weren't hard - so all good in our book. We will definitely return to try other items on the menu.

Men's bathroom was a hoot with monkey themed wallpaper. Unfortunately the women's bathroom got boring blue and white flowers. :( My husband got the chicken sandwich, he loved the chicken but the biscuit was hard as a rock and dry as the Sahara desert. The Brunch menu is very heavy on breakfast choices. There were also three salads and several different versions of hamburgers. The fries were good, and the hand mixed cherry Cokes were awesome! My prime rib burger had an odd taste to me. This is probably a much better place to go for regular lunch or dinner. We were just passing through but we enjoyed the hospitality!

Not sure what to expect, we decided to finally check it out on this Friday. Am happy to report that we really liked the place! There's a bar, but other tables and chairs. So while it's fairly small, there is room to land after you've scored a glass of wine or a brew. I chose a very potent stout (over 13%),while Husband did a Brueprint brown ale. In addition they have shelves of beer and wine that I enjoyed perusing, especially because the selections are not common ones. When I mentioned to Annette that I didn't recognize any of the chardonnays, she said "good", because the goal is to supply ones you can't find elsewhere. So I picked one that sounded good and am happy to report that after trying it out I do indeed love it. Annette also pointed out that they do tastings, have food trucks, etc (including this Saturday). Anyone care to guess where we'll be for awhile Saturday? :)

Heyday is always a cool, laidback spot in this neighborhood where people can come for drinks, food, trivia, live music and random events. I also loved that they have included the buckets of champagne and juice options. It's continued to expand here and provide more options and that's always a plus. I'm usually a regular for the pizza and drinks, but now I can add the brunch to my list and continue adding more interactions will cool bartenders here. They truly make it feel like a neighborhood even when you don't live here.

First off, there is a dedicated event space room that is free to use as long as you give them a heads up in time and make sure it's available. Already that's a sell for me since a lot of venues require you to pay for a space. There are couches and tables / seating so it makes for a perfect place to hang. The employees have always been wonderful and offer quick service. The food and drinks are also top notch! I think it's quite impressive when a brewery offers cocktails that are on par with what you might find in an actual cocktail bar. Incredibly rare find! The food offerings are also delicious and perfect to share with friends. The venue itself is fun and spacious. There are some pinball machines and they often have live music as well. I also appreciate the outdoor space they have available! Anyways, great spot. Check it out for yourself!

I have been to Postino many times before, but this was my first time at the Raleigh location. While it's been 4 years since I've had Postino and the menu has changed a little, the bruschetta board is still a permanent fixture. We ordered a bruschetta board for an appetizer and I ordered the half panini & half salad for my entree. The bruschetta board is a must order because you can get 4 different kinds. The top tier choice is the salami pesto one. It's my absolute favorite. For my panini, I got the caprese one on ciabatta bread and the half of the mixed greens salad. The salad was delicious. This was a ton of food and felt very satisfying. I always love the vibe of Postino's, but this location was way too dark with only a small candle at the table. Service started off good and we were able to order our food without a problem. However, our server was done with his shift right after we ordered so we got a new server. Our new server had no idea we already ordered and was a little behind coming to our table for water refills. Despite that, we were in and out of the restaurant within 45 minutes. Postino is surrounded by other shops and restaurants, so they had a ton of parking available outside the restaurant. Highly recommend this place if you want good food!
