I had heard so many great things about this place and decided to give it a try! I walked in to a nice clean environment, it wasn't busy because it was early afternoon. After we seated ourselves it wasn't long our server came gave us menus and took the drink order! She was very nice. The food was delicious and the amount for the price wasn't bad either. I got Seafood Platter which was Flounder and popcorn shrimp instead of fries I had onion rings while my friend chose the Taco Salad and we both were so pleased at our choice. The taco bowl that held the salad and the separate bowl that held the salsa was edible wooo so much to eat! We thoroughly enjoyed and will be going back soon. read more

I came to this establishment in need of some food and to watch some of the Thursday night football game. I was very well mannered and polite to all of the staff...and they seemed nice enough but...if you are going to upcharge the hell out of someone after serving gross, small portioned appetizers and overpriced beers, you should at least tell that person that gratuity will also be added to your bill. For a small batch (very small and way overpriced) of battered shrimp and 2 bottles of domestic beer, I didn't understand why my bill was over $30. First of all, I am a grown man and a veteran. I don't need someone taking upon themselves to tip themselves with my money. Usually I tip very very well....so most likely their loss. And btw, the up charge for use of a debit or credit card versus using cash is ghetto business and it's printed right on the receipt. Whoever owns or runs this place is trying to squeeze customers for every penny. I don't know what kind of history this place has to where they feel like they need to treat customers like this but this is one person that will spread the word to stay away and will never come back. In principal I don't appreciate any business that makes it mandatory for customers to tip a set amount, especially when there's nowhere that indicates that. Adding mandatory tip is making tipping just a hidden fee rather than a reward for good service. The audacity of adding in a line for 'additional tip' just screams greedy to me. Look, I though the service was good, but as a customer I have no agency not to tip if service wasn't. That's just bad customer service. I probably would have tipped around 15% if I had the agency, so they got an extra dollar out of me than I would have on my own. Which I don't really care about, but it's this assumption that the business knows better than the customer I don't like and appreciate. Bad policy. We visited this pub the other night - and the saying goes true that you can never judge a book by its cover. Because it truly is a little gem in an otherwise not so visually pleasing parking lot. The inside of the Pub is super clean and inviting - fully decorated with tons of sports stuff. The service was great. Our server was attentive and pleasant. Options anyone would probably enjoy in the menu with reasonable prices. I enjoyed my food - although I will say I asked for my burger medium well - and it was cooked well done. I still ate it though. Next time I'd add chili and cheese to my fries. read more

The owners daughter who is a manager tries to convince you that the drink is good when clearly you can see and taste that it's a watered down drink...Then she started harassing me on why I wanted another better tasting drink she claim that she couldn't give me another one we had two horrorible drinks that were made badly. Then she proceeded to tell me that maybe it's my taste buds may be bad what?? What manager saids that to a customer. Then she does the unthinkable...she tries to give that nasty drink to my Husband and approached him while I was at the bar trying to get a better drink complaining to him about me what?? This bitch is crazy. I told her off and told her she can have all this crap and I'm leaving then she tried to throw me out and told me not to return. You cant throw me out I was already leaving her with that nasty food and severely watered down drinks. The ambiance was lack of staffing and the bar tender was a young black girl and she looked scared to death very tense around there. This place has really gone all the way down. It'll be shut down before long. I Will not ever return here! This place is BS. read more

I asked for Buffalo wings I just got fried chicken and when I explained it to the waitress she took them back and came back to my table with the same wings tossed is a little hot sauce and a small container of hot sauce on the side. Today, on Veterans Day ironically, I had one of the most humiliating, embarrassing, disrespectful, and absolutely hurtful experience I've ever had at a local bar. I want to preface this by making sure I'm completely honest and transparent with everything. I moved to Raleigh from a different state a little while ago and needed to find a good bar located close to my new job. I am a very quiet person that keeps mainly to myself and a good, small, local sports bar with decent food is personally important for me to enjoy a couple drinks and food after work. This bar being so close to Pike Electric, is perfect a couple times a week. The food was good and the drinks were decently made. The bartenders weren't very social, which to me, isn't a bad thing. (Except for one of the guys there that goes out of his way to say hey to me and ask me how I was doing, a master of his craft. I owe him a beer for the smiles he gave me). Back to Veterans Day... I entered the establishment early afternoon and just got done with a ten hour day in mud and sweat filled clothes. I was looking forward to hot food and cold drinks to start the weekend. But I honestly needed to get to a restroom pretty damn bad. I used #1 and walked back to the bar to order my drink. But immediately needed to use the sit down toilet, if you get my drift. My job is out in the elements, sometimes with no bathroom or privacy. But me and the other men and women I work with get paid to bring electricity to the Raleigh area and we don't get the chance to use a toilet. For 10-12 Hours. So It wasn't a fun experience as everyone can imagine. As I was sitting there playing g on my phone, a rude piece of work stuck his head over the wall, looked at me like he wanted to take a swing, and blurted out "you alright?!?!". I Quickly said yes and couldn't believe what the hell is happening. I honestly thought he was a crazy asshole that wanted to start problems in a bar. But he left abruptly. Then it dawned on me, I've seen this guy before. He either owns it, works it, or is a paid goon. I'm not sure. I went to the bar and asked the lady that has made me drinks for months now, what that was about. She accused me of "nodding off" on the toilet. I've never used any sort of opiate or whatever makes you nod off. I may not be very clean after work but I'm disgusted at how they decided to tell me what kind of person I am. Some damn dope head. All while the whole damn bar shuts up and listens. Listens and watches me pull my sleeves up and ask this horrible creature if she sees any dope marks or whatever. Some scars from digging ditches and firefights. No business or person has the right to attempt to degrade and humiliate their patrons for simply taking too long on the toilet. If anyone needs details on the awful people that work there so they can fully avoid their shifts or side of the restaurants, I'll gladly show you who. To the 1 or 2 people that always treat me like a friend, I hope I get to return the favor, you're what I'm trying to think of instead of the ugliness I had to endure just for a midling bloody Mary. read more

This is your typical sports bar. Nothing that would make it any different from any other sports bar. They had a good selection of bottled and draft beer and much cheaper then B-Dubs. The food was average and priced right. The peel and eat shrimp was an excellent choice for the money. They had great music and the service was excellent. Was pleased we decide to come and eat here. GREASY & GROSS! In an effort to support local restaurants during the pandemic shutdown, we ordered takeout from Overtime. Our order was simple: mozzarella sticks, a burger with chili cheese fries, and a French dip. The bill (after tip) was around $40. Got home to find that the fries were missing the chili/cheese that was paid for. No big deal, likely an honest mistake - but it didn't matter because we wouldn't have eaten them either way. The fries were undercooked and so saturated with grease that they were limp and floppy. The sandwich was soggy and the bun was disintegrated. The cheese sticks tasted like they'd been cooked in oil that was days old, and were so overdone that they crumbled in our hands. I'm not exaggerating when I say even the dog wouldn't eat it... I called to make the staff aware of the issues and even offered to bring the entire order back to show why we were so dissatisfied. I was told I could come pick up another order of mozz sticks and a side of chili/cheese (which I politely declined) but that the owner was refusing to do anything further because "that's just how they cook it." I've never experienced such lack of regard for customers' experience and satisfaction. Unless you're planning to serve a plate full of disappointment for dinner, save yourself the trouble and eat somewhere else. read more
