She barely looked up, with a "let me know if I can help you." I ordered my scoops and started waiting while my partner ordered a soft serve. This is apparently a production. I seriously almost finished my ice cream waiting.... But, in the meantime, about ten people in different groups came in. Several wound up just leaving. The one woman who was there started shouting into the back for someone to come help her. After 4-5 attempts, a second woman came out. She had been way too busy chatting with someone on her phone about her car to offer any help -- which she continued to do while she rang me up. I've been to places where I felt like the staff didn't care one way or the other, this one made me feel like I was really interrupting these two ladies' evening of texting and chatting, and they would have preferred nobody came in. I haven't patronized this store in years due to inconsistent quality in the past, but at the time of this recent review, Red Velvet Cupcakery is back on top! Truthfully, this is the only place that Ive enjoyed the red velvet flavor, and no one else in the area comes close to the way this shop creates their signature cupcake. The bottom half of the cupcakes were very dry and stale. I ended up throwing away most of it. I get it that these cupcakes were meant to be thrown out or otherwise given away for free. I just didn't expect the items to taste accordingly. I have no idea how long ago these cupcakes were made despite the claim that it is baked fresh daily. Whatever the case is, I won't be returning and I wouldn't recommend it for my friends and family.
