One of the best tattoo shops and tattoo artists around. Chano Zuniga is a awesome dude. We have been going to him forever. He is the only tattoo artist I will recommend as his work is badass. It's a small shop that is super clean with up to 3 artists and a piercer. The best thing is that they treat everyone like a regular. If you have been considering a tat and just needed that extra push, well here it is. You won't be disappointed. Just tell him Cat Eyes sent you, he will know who it is.

This place is the worst tattoo shop I've been to/heard of. They mutilated my arm. Justin was his name I believe. Nice guy but horrible at tattooing. I've gotta go to the dr now and possibly talk to an attorney for abuse. The ink is hardly under the skin and once the rest of the ink comes out, I'll have a cut in my skin which will have to scar up. Tread carefully with tattoo shops. They don't have to be certified nor does the shop have to have health inspections. BEWARE!!!!!!! read more

I drove all the way from Austin, tx to Galveston just to have Chano tattoo me. That should tell you something. These are the only people I trust putting permanent ink on my skin. Very clean, and always friendly. I get so many compliments on the shading. Always happy when I leave! read more

I have been thinking of getting a tattoo for about 20 years now and I am beyond glad to have chosen The Tattoo Shop AND Chuck Jones. Not only is he the cleanest (he changed all cling wrap after my wife got up, changed gloves, sprayed disinfectant everywhere, changed needles and holder, and changed gloves again), easiest, and most pleasant tattoo artist you might ever come across, he is also a brilliant artist. I highly recommend going here AND seeing Chuck Jones. I trusted him for my tattoo and my wife's -- and we are both happy with him. I'm only giving 2stars because they were at least friendly when we walked in otherwise if I could give 0 stars I would. We were very excited about getting my best friend her first tat and my second possibly third on my birthday. We put my name on the list cause they already had a couple of people waiting. They told don't go to the beach or leave the island cause they will be calling to have is come in about a couple hours. Perfect for is cause we still need to check into our hotel. We wanted to go to the beach or swimming but we also want to get our best friend tats. So needless to say we waited and no calls. I know our tats were simple it could have been an easy 100.00 since it's their min. I'm extremely disappointed to have my evening wasted with no call. It doesn't take much to say hey we don't want to do it or hey I have a huge job so I will not be happening. To give you a good time frame, we went in at 3:30 they close I think he said 2am. There really should have been no reason for a phone call. I normally don't do these reviews but my excitement of getting the tats and then the disappointment really pissed me off. If you go get tats there my suggestion is don't leave or at least have a job big enough that it's worth a call back. I guess I'll be giving my money to the tat shop near my house. read more

I got my first ever tattoo at the Tattoo shop in Galveston Texas but an amazing artist by the name of Jeremy! Totally easy! Extremely efficient and organized. I walked in on a Saturday, set an appointment, text him my ideas with descriptions. He gave me a draw up and we got to work that Monday. I got a custom cherry blossom brand with water color flames. My twin daughters recommended Chano Zuniga to me when I was interested in having an old tattoo on my back covered up. He did an absolutely amazing job! He made the entire experience very entertaining! Chano was very accommodating in drawing up a design for me and staying late to create it! I have always wanted a tattoo so turning 18 meant getting one. Julian Yahkuu was my tattoo artist and I am so happy that he was. He worked with me in planning and placement. He made sure I was comfortable and in the least amount of pain. He had a clean station and I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for and amazing tattoo artist. Chuck Jones did my work (ink with bright colors). He was very meticulous to make sure everything was perfect! He also makes sure your comfortable the whole time. Love my ink!!!!
