November 22, 2025 While in town on business, I stayed at the Player's Inn on the casino property. After a long day, I chose the first restaurant I saw rather than wandering further. The menu was straightforward--burgers, pasta, sandwiches, and a small "chef's selection." I asked my server about the Bacon-Wrapped Meatloaf, and she recommended it. Unfortunately, the dish was disappointing. The bacon was undercooked, the meatloaf lacked any discernible flavor, and the overall presentation fell flat. The mashed potatoes were the highlight of the meal, though they required a bit of salt and pepper to come alive. I requested broccoli as a side but was instead served green beans. While I don't mind green beans, the substitution was unexpected and not communicated. Overall, the experience left much to be desired, with the sides outshining the entrée. We stopped by to eat after playing a while in the casino. The atmosphere was good. The restaurant is nicely appointed with comfortable chairs for dining. We enjoyed the food. We mainly ordered soup and salad. One in our party ordered chicken, broccoli alfredo. The salads and pasta were fresh. The soup was Hamburger Mac, and it was good. It's more of a cool weather soup. Thank goodness it was cool on the we came. Our server was very helpful and courteous. She was very busy so it took a few minutes longer to get our food. We were not in a hurry though, so we didn't mind. read more

Food is good but the menu doesn't have much to choose from .it was better when it was stix

TLDR, block some time off to be unimpressed. But it was super clean, the staff was very friendly, and the food was pretty meh and absolutely over priced. It was slow on a Wednesday, my coworker and I stopped in for some quick food. That friends, was an error. We ordered our drink and I'm pretty sure I could have rewritten the Bible before they arrived. It was a water and a white claw, nothing fancy..... we placed our order as soon as the drinks came, mostly because we weren't sure of we'd have to start reading the dictionary before our waitress came back. Honestly that only took 15 minutes to my surprise. The Fraser salad was pretty good, but drowned in dressing. The shrimp was REALLY good, the ribeye was fatty and pretty tough, but still medium rare. There looked like a lot of garlic on it, but it absolutely lacked flavor. We never got another refill on our drink, our check took forever to get, it was basically a hostage situation at the end. read more

A stale brioche bun crumbling in my hand and a double burger with moistureless charcoal brickettes for meat did not make for a positive burger experience. The onion rings, available for an upcharge - all 5 if them - were fine. The last few times there showed me it was more than just a name change. I will hit the food court instead. read more

Ordered mushroom Swiss burger for take out. Asked that it be cooked through but not well done, because last time it was WAY OVERCOOKED. Well, this one was Army Boot Leather and inedible. It was a manager who finally came out and took the order. That poor waitress had at over a dozen ppl that she was trying to take care of with no help. This is a common problem. Very friendly and prompt cleaning of each area . Waiter was excellent and food came pretty quick!

Good food but bar tender was out in left field. It was not busy only about 20% full. I think she stopped in and picked herself up some gummies on the way to work. We would order a drink and she would "forget" I guess to give it to us lol. We would have to remind her. My husband ordered water and she said sure and walked away and never gave him a water. The service was good. But the kitchen was slow. Appetizer came out right away but entrees took over half hour after that. And the place was dead. Food was pretty good though. read more

I'm only doing this review to shout out to the server, Lela, because she was AMAZING. However, food was extremely underwhelming. The menu was messed up. They had eggs Benedict and chicken & waffles under the meal, with home fries and toast. Neither of those things actually come with home fries and toast. They didn't even have waffles for the chicken and waffles, and the chicken seemed like microwaveable chicken fingers lol! The eggs Benedict was sub par and I'm 99% sure the hollondaise sauce came from a McCormick packet. When issues were mentioned to the server, she didn't really do anything about it but she was so nice that we shrugged it off. No big deal, we just won't come back here. read more

My husband and I decided to go to the casino for the evening to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We ate at Sticks Sports Bar & Grill, We found the food to be delicious, And the staff were all very professional and friendly. Went there for dinner because Rapids only had their grill running and not thr deli or pizza stations. (Tues 6/18/19). Hostess seated my daughter and I about 640 pm. We ordered our food about 5 minutes later. About 730 I asked the hostess where our food was because others who ordered after us were getting their food. We had only ordered a Turkey club and the cheeseburger sliders...nothing difficult! She said "Let me find out". A few minutes later she comes out with our food. The sliders were warm but not hot! I am writing this review to you to express my extreme disappointment in the service I received last night at your dining facility, The Tavern. My husband and I arrived around 7:00PM and we ordered drinks, an order of onion rings for an appetizer, an order of nachos with beef for my meal, and a Philly dip for his meal. I asked that I get my nachos when my husband received his appetizer because I tend to be a slow eater and was hungry at this point. When he got his appetizer and I got my nachos, my nachos were ice cold to the touch; literally as if they were taken out of the refrigerator and handed to me. My husband's onion rings were like warm but he continued to eat them anyways. I decided to send mine back because I am currently seven and a half months pregnant and did not feel comfortable eating ice cold beef out of fear for getting sick. I then watched my husband eat part of his meal while I waited another 15 minutes for them to essentially warm up the same nachos I sent back. When I received the same exact order of nachos I was served earlier the second time, they were luke warm in some spots and still ice cold in other spots.  They also did not serve the sour cream and salsa that were supposed to be with them. I then told the waitress that they were still cold and I was told that I had to pick something else off the menu. I refused and told her that I shouldn't have to order something else off the menu when that is what I wanted to order as a paying customer. She then brought it back to the kitchen. At this point my husband and I were both upset as it was now almost an hour later. We decided we wanted to leave and go somewhere else where I would actually be able to eat what I wanted so we told the waitress we would pay for our drinks and the onion ring appetizer that my husband had already eaten. She attempted to serve my husband his meal that he ordered yet he turned it away because he did not want to eat yet another thing in front of his pregnant wife while I was expected to order something else off the menu. Another lady came over to our table demanding that we explain why my husband refused his meal and he told them about the issues with my dinner and how he didn't want to continue eating in front of me while their cook couldn't serve me the very simple meal that I had ordered. He was given attitude and they gave him the bill charging us only for the two beers, soda and onion rings that we had drank/eaten. We both left hungry after sitting for an hour and not once received an apology for what happened. When my husband tried to speak to someone else in regards to what happened to make upper management aware, he was essentially told that there was nothing they could do. We are both very disgusted with the service we received and will not be returning to this facility again. I hope your facility is proud to be running a restaurant that thinks it is ok to not serve a pregnant woman a dinner and essentially turn her away hungry. Absolutely deplorable. If I could give zero stars I would, based on the fact that I got turned away with ZERO food at all. read more

So we have made sticks a staple whenever we come up to the Casino, but after tonight I will never again go there. We waited almost 2 hours to be sat, come to find out they had two seat saver paddles numbered 15 and called the se ond one before us, and many other people who checked in long after us, this was only the start of bad things to come. When we did finally get a seat, our waitress said she would be right with us on two occasions before walking into the back not to return for 30 minutes. So after two people went looking for her, the hostess came over and took the order (thank god for her, the only bright spot of the trip). And so the fun begins, after a short wait for our food, the manager brings our food out, and abruptly shouts out ok who ordered what. Really, is that how this is supposed to work. So all the years I've worked in the restaurant industry I've been doing it all wrong. So at this time we realize 2 of our orders are not on the tray. Her response is oh well that's the hostesses fault she doesnt know what she's doing, no it's your fault because you cant run your restaurant, or control your staff. And you also dont know enough to pick up your very overwhelmed waitresses slack. So at that time she said well that's going to take some time to cook, do you still want it? Well let's see we've been waiting for 2.5 hours for our food so um yeah I think we are going to want that. At this time I'm a little pissed, and I have never any life said one thing to any wait staff, because I get it the job is not easy, but you know what I've had enough. I tell the manager you know, by tossing your hostess under the bus, you are doing a poor job as a manager, because in the end it all falls back on you. Low and behold the main dish shows up a minute later. So yeah what you are telling me is nope, you forgot to bring it out with the rest. So the rest of the meal goes by, the waitress doesnt check in once to see how things are, only to bring the bill, and what's even worse, the manager went and hid in the back and didnt once come out. We got no apologies, nothing. I hate to beat a dead horse, but as someone who works in a restaurant, I am embarrassed for you. read more
