This was our first time ordering from here and certainly won't be our last. I ordered a Chicken Salad Sandwich and my son and husband ordered a BLT and another Chicken Salad Sandwich. Both Sandwiches were the best I've tasted in Morgantown. I'm very particular with my chicken and the chicken was seasoned and cut perfectly to go on a butter croissant. My son placed the order from the parking lot and in 15 minutes a girl surfaced with a mask holding our nicely packed order. Definitely a big winner for Morgantown. The large tea selection looked promising, but the service was disappointing by two different employees. We went in and after asking for a table for 2 on a Saturday they said they are not taking walk-ins. (totally understandable but disappointing since this was our Saturday morning plan) Although many tables were looking empty with couples leaving the establishment. We were not told when tables would be available by the employee, nor did she ask us about placing a to-go order or direct us to where the to-go orders were to be taken. We just kind of stood there amidst the people entering/exiting awkwardly. We took it upon ourselves to go to the cashier in front of the tea wall after the awkward encounter thinking that employee could help us. The checkout counter employee wasn't very helpful and proceeded to sip her hot tea as we were giving her our order. (Kind of unprofessional in my opinion but at least she was kind) Next we received our order and walked out to try our drinks which were prepared wrong. We asked for two simple sweetened black iced teas and received teas that tasted more like ice water with no tea flavor or sweetener whatsoever.. (disappointing being that it is a tea shop) read more

I stopped in here after hearing there was a loose-leaf tea shop right here in Morgantown. I'm a huge tea addict so I had to check it out. I was expecting them to have a couple jars, and a paper cup to-go service. Nope! They have a full sit down tea parlor, and their tea list is huge! They have all of the teas available to smell right up front, and all of it is available for purchase by the ounce. Now, I'm used to paying absurd prices for tea over the Internet, but four ounces of different teas and several samples only ran me $20! I will definitely return here again and again. read more

The tea tasting is tons of fun! My roommate dragged me to it for my birthday and I was annoyed because I hated tea. However, after trying the varieties the tea shoppe had to offer I was pleased to learn that I actually enjoyed it a lot more than I had thought possible! CONS - DO NOT ORDER Hot Chocolate. It tastes like dirty water. I don't think the add milk to it, let alone cream of evaporated milk. PROS - Cute place, great atmosphere, sandwiches are wonderful, wide variety of teas. read more

Finally visited here the other day. The teas were amazing. However, the food items were a over priced.

Try the chicken salad on croissant or the cucumber dill sandwiches...delicious! A bit overpriced and the food takes a while to get ready...but im guessing the idea is to have people talk and drink tea while waiting for their food. As for the sweets, the scones are very good. My only reason for the 4 stars is their hot chocolate. It is not good at all. It tastes like water with dirt. There no evaporated milk ( or milk for that matter) in it...which leaves no options for the kids. read more

I am so happy that Morgantown has a place where you can buy loose leaf teas! I'm a huge fan of loose leaf and they have a pretty good selection! I wish more people knew about this place! I feel like the location is not great for business and they have relatively short business hours, but I tell as many people I can about it because it is truly a great place! Stopped in on a Monday at lunch while passing through town. Cute little place with very friendly staff. People already seated had availed themselves of the hat collection on the wall and were having a good time. Excellent variety of teas. At least 100 types. Menu consists of various full tea options and regular lunch menu (sandwiches, soup, quiche, and salads). Prices were reasonable. I had the afternoon tea for $14. The scones and pastries were ok, but most of the sandwiches were above average. Would definitely go back. read more

I really enjoy this place. The experience is very unique and adds a nice touch of character to Morgantown. I love coming on Sundays for their brunch special and a pot of tea. A wonderful time recently at the tea shoppe for lunch. Visiting the area with my 4 year old and accompanied my mother and nieces to a special "tea party." My little one has celiac (can not eat gluten) as well as multiple food allergies including shared lines (PN, TN, Egg, Soy). Staff were fabulous to let me bring in my daughter's own food and display on their tiered tray along with all of our orders. They served her without her knowing I had done all of the prep. She had the "best time ever!" Thank you for creating such a wonderful memory! Our lunches were fabulous and the dessert tier was very tasty. Can't say thank you enough for allowing my little one to feel "normal" for one outing and for putting such a huge smile on her face! Great work! read more

We had my daughter's bridal shower at The Tea Shoppe and couldn't be more pleased! The atmosphere was small and intimate, just as my daughter requested. The food was exceptional (and all made in house) and the service was outstanding! Lisa and her staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful! I continue to receive comments from guests on how perfect the shower was. Numerous guests who lived in Morgantown did not know The Tea Shoppe existed, but have returned for lunch or meeting friends since the shower. I would highly recommend The Tea Shoppe for lunch, gathering with your friends, or special events. Lisa and her staff will ensure you are pleased. And, the pricing is quite reasonable and affordable. We were enjoying the shower so much that we went over the scheduled time without realizing they had closed 30 minutes earlier. They did not interrupt our shower or charge us for the additional time (that never happens!). I hope to hold future special events here.
